Project Brief:
With the goal of suppor ting parents and guardians of young children in re-entering the work force, Flight of the Imagination contains a co-working space and day care. By offering caretakers a catered setting for work, the project will generate the successful businesses of tomorrow.

Cukooz Nest is a co-working space and childcare company currently based in London, UK. They value sustainability, safety, organization, and collaboration. Integrating technology with human-centric design, the Cukooz Nest business model runs on an app, allowing users to book online and check in on their children throughout the day

CONCEPT Flight of Imagination Owls, fierce hunters and symbols of wisdom and magic, drive the conceptual narrative of Cukooz Nest’s new co-working space. Flight of Imagination’s mission is to empower working caretakers to remember the childlike feeling of believing anything is possible.

Project Brief:
Wynwood Miami is an ar tistic trove that is gaining notoriety. Ar tists, musicians, and creatives flock to the area resulting in a super-bloom of galleries, and public stages. Mosaer t Records is the result of this creative growth. Offering oppor tunity to shop, preform, or relax, the project is designed to supply Wynwood’s trendy demographic with a place to express themselves and learn from others.

DESIGN PROCESS
Mosaert was founded in 2009 by Paul Van Haver (stromae) and his brother and artistic director Luc Van Haver. In addition to Stromae’s music, moseart releases one unisex numbered clothing capsule each year. The label also works on collaborations between stromae and other artists.

Project Brief:
A fantasy author is seeking the home of her dreams after her first long book tour. The Dichotomy House is designed to fit every need in the clients li fe, which includes both a love for over-thetop enter tainment and a deep need for privacy. Designed with the influnce of the pandemic, the project functions as a live-work space, a relaxing retreat, and allows for enter tainment opper tunities for a safer time.

Edith M. Dufrene is 28, and a best selling fantasy author. During her last stop on her first book tour, Edith was diverted back home by the COVID-19 pandemic. An extremely motived and independent woman, Edith loves to be the center of attention. However, she maintains a strong value of privacy.

SITE The Long Beach area is a peninsula, with one main street for circulation in and out. It is a mainly residential area, with scattered restaurants and grocery stores within driving distance. There are views to the bay and the beach, both of which are within walking distance to the site.
CONCEPT The dichotomy house takes its conceptual language from the genre of fantasy novels. Applying the visual characteristics of the genre, the home will function as dual purpose; a party palace and an escapist oasis.

FURNITURE DESIGN The idea to create the Heller-Newman collection was born after the death of Great-Uncle Alan Heller, fabricator of the Heller-Vignelli Colorama dinnerware. The Heller-Newman Collection embodies the soul of Hellerware, bringing the retro favorite back into modernity
