LOCAL CANDIDATE RECOMMENDATIONS (LCRC)*

This committee interviews Federal, State and Local candidates for elected office in San Mateo County and makes recommendations to the SAMCAR Board for endorsement. It also recommends funds and support for the campaigns of said officials. The committee also reviews and decides on positions relative to ballot measures in San Mateo County.

Local area Government Affairs Committees review issues and provide feedback to the Government Affairs Director on current legislative issues. Provides an audience for council members and staff. The SAMCAR Young Professionals Network group is the local chapter of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). SAMCAR YPN develops programs for education, networking, mentoring, leadership development, community service, sharing ideas and information. Our motto is “Young at Mind, Young at Heart no I.D. required.” YPN groups nationwide are a dynamic entry point for real estate professionals striving to become more successful in their careers and gain leadership experience.

C.A.R. Legislative Day

Legislative Day will bring more than 2,000 REALTORS® together to discuss real estate issues directly with state legislators and staff. You’ll hear from California’s most dynamic political leaders, meet with and urge legislature to support creating opportunities for homeownership, enjoy great entertainment and network with REALTORS® from across the state.
