Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School is seeking a person or persons interested in supporting the school’s Agriculture program by performing the role of Agriculture Activities Director. Most work responsibilities will take place when school is not in session (evenings, weekends, school vacations, and summer). The goal is to support a variety of agriculture-related functions including, but not limited to, barn chores, animal feeding and care, purchasing and transporting feed/supplies, working within the maple sugaring and school land lab operations, transporting animals, and helping to manage FFA (Future Farmers of America) and Franklin County Field Days. The rate of pay will be commensurate with the finalist candidate’s qualifications and experience. An unincorporated community, Brownsville is located in West Windsor, Vermont on State Route 44. This small area is the placed for a number of administrative offices for the town of West Windsor. Brownsville gets its name from two settlers, John and Briant Brown. The early days saw sheep farms and small industries that sustained the early residents. There are two covered bridges nearby that are on the National Register of Historic Places. There is also the Little Ascutney Wildlife Managment Area just slightly south and west of Brownsville. This is a state owned conservation area where there is wildlife such as white-tailed deer, fisher, coyotes, bobcats, beaver and otter.
