Sick & tired of being Sick & tired? THE PAST TO THE PRESENT Gaysville, Vermont

Unincorporated communities are regions of land that do not have their own government

Gaysville, Vermont is an unincorporated village in the town of Stockbridge in Windsor County, Vermont. The village was established in 1786 when Elais Keyes established a grist mill and saw mill in what was known as "The Narrows". The village soon followed and it flourished as a manufacturing center. Flooding has historically devastated the area. On November 3, 1927 waters ripped through the area taking bridges, dams, mills, homes and more. They were also hard hit during Hurricane Irene. Due to many factors large portions of the town were not rebuilt and it is no longer a bustling industrial area. In modern era, the White River provides swimming, tubing and other activities.
