Building to consider amendments to the Enosburgh Development Bylaw pursuant to Chapter 117 of Title 24 (the “Act”), §4384 and §4441 V.S.A. The Enosburgh Development Bylaw will modify and replace the current development bylaw. The purpose of the bylaw is to provide for orderly community growth, to further the purposes established in §4302 of the Act, and to implement the Town and Village of Enosburgh, Vermont Comprehensive Municipal Plan 2015. The proposed bylaw includes eleven general sections: Authority and Purpose; Zoning Districts and District Standards; Development Review; General Regulations Applicable to All Development; Specific Use Standards; Planned Unit Development; Subdivision Review; Planning and Design Standards; Flood Hazard Area Regulations; Administration and Enforcement; and Definitions. The Enosburgh Planning Commission has revised and updated the regulations to be more user-friendly and to conform with
current state and federal regulations. Proposed changes include clarifying where home industry uses can be located, how accessory structures and accessory uses may be permitted, and adding additional definitions. A full report outlining proposed changes to the bylaw, and the full text of the proposed bylaw, are available at the Enosburgh Town Clerk’s Office.
