Working Bridges is a collaborative of local employers (managed by UWNWVT) focused on practices to support their collective workforce. The RC works at 4-6 employer sites & directly assists employees with non-work related issues. Also, the RC provides program coordination & assistance for onsite programs, including financial education workshops & tax preparation. The primary role of the RC is to provide onsite resource coordination for employees at their place of work. The RC will meet with employees individually to assess, educate and coach them about community and employer resources to address life issues that are impacting work productivity. The RC will participate in the evaluation, training development and innovation pilots for the employer network. As the lead for developing new employer partners, the RC will produce a strategy for expanding the employer partners offering onsite Resource Coordination services throughout the Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle region. Qualified candidates will possess entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build relationships, honor diversity and adapt to different work environment. They will also possess strong communication, excellent listening, and effective speaking skills. Organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple commitments to employer worksites, complex employee resource needs, program responsibilities and development work. LEGAL 2018/2019 WINTER YARD MAINTENANCE At this time the WestRock Converting Company’s (formerly RockTenn Company) Missisquoi Mill, located in Sheldon Springs Vermont, is accepting bids for our winter yard maintenance covering November 15, 2018—April 15, 2019. The WestRock plant operates 24 / 7, and needs to be able to shuttle trailers around most hours of the day and night. Plowing, Sanding, and the ability to haul away excess snow when the need arises are minimum requirements. Plowing can be quite intense at times clearing trailer lots and loading docks, and you are expected to handle the job without direct supervision, including deciding when you need to plow and /or sand, as well as when to cut snow banks so vision is not obstructed around the facility. Some guidance will be given and cooperation solicited concerning parked cars and trailers during heavy storms however it is anticipated that plowing both before and after shift changes will be normal. Sanding and plowing needs to be kept up in all yards especially first thing in the morning before traffic begins at 6:00am, and employee parking lots must be avoided at all normal shift change times. Past History of plowing hours based on last five years: Average winter: 260 hrs. High: 350 hrs. Low: 200 hrs. Please submit bids in two different formats: Hourly charges for plowing, sanding, and potentially hauling away snow. Contract price for the entire winters work all in pricing. We will offer price protection should oil prices spike unexpectedly.
