Champlain Valley Equipment St. Albans, Middlebury, Derby, Berlin, East Randolph Champlain Valley Equipment has been Vermont’s premier agricultural equipment dealer for the past 45 years. Our slogan is “Growing to meet your needs” and we have certainly done that. Whether you are a Vermont farm owner or a Vermont landowner, we have watched you evolve and grow. As Vermonters you have evolved and need more and more service every year. More locations - we have added 2 new locations in the last 3 years alone, with the addition of our Berlin and most recently, our East Randolph, VT store. With 5 great locations we are able to provide better service, with a total of 14 service vehicles to reach you anytime and anywhere. Five full-time road service technicians bringing the work to your farm or to your home, saving you the trouble of bringing a machine into the shop and allowing for less down-time. Five locations means 5 parts departments, all fully staffed and well stocked with all the parts you need. So while we have grown a lot in the past 10 years, we have not changed. We have an experienced staff of 110 people, with an average of 13 years in the business. We still run our stores, always putting our customers first. Champlain Valley Equipment is a family owned business and will always take pride and satisfaction in giving our customers the best deals and the best customer service that we can provide. As we look to the future we will continue to grow, grow to meet your needs, grow to help you plant, plow, mow, feed, dig and ride, all the things that as Vermonters we know you love to do. With the addition of new brands we carry nothing but the best and offer an excellent selection of all your equipment and power sports needs. Champlain Valley Equipment and its owners would like to thank all of our customers for making us who we are today! An amazing collection of talent from both the local area and across the country is just one of the reasons for our continuing success in a most competitive environment. Superior Technical Ceramics believes that a strong growing company needs to reinvest in both its people and its equipment. We have shown that over more than 37 years here in Franklin County. This sets us apart from many of the other companies claiming to produce similar components into the competitive world wide market place. STC supplies components into many diverse industries world wide. These include aerospace, telecommunications, defense, plasma, welding, laser, semiconductor, oil and gas, wear, industrial ignition, thermal barrier, cyclonic separation, green energy and many more. This spring is now 7 years since my husband, Todd, and I bought the flower shop from Betty Lambesis. We relocated 4 years ago in the perfect spot for our store on Bank street. Loving our better location, it has allowed me to utilize my space better and be more creative in my design skills. We are known for the freshest flowers in town and I stand behind that 100%. I have a passion for garden style and unique designs but will customize just about anything for my customers. We also have a great variety of unique gifts. I specialize in weddings, and have built up my wedding clientele tremendously since I bought the shop. I love to sit down and work one on one with amazing brides to make their special day magical!
You will feel at home while browsing through our store, where you will always leave with a smile.

EIGHT STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT - There are eight stages of development
during a person’s life.* The life cycle begins with the infant stage and progresses to toddler/ early childhood, followed by the preschooler and school-aged child stages, growing into adolescents then transitioning into young adult, followed by middle-age adult and finally, the older adult stage.
Each stage of development is marked by conflict for which a successful resolution will result in a favorable outcome. No matter what stage of development someone is in, it’s comforting to know that you can turn to Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) in your time of need. NCSS provides intervention and a continuum of support to individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral problems, mental illness and developmental disabilities. * According to Erik Erikson (1902-1994), a noted Danish-German-American developmental psychologist, every person must pass through a series of eight interrelated stages over the entire life cycle.
Among the NCSS staff providing services for each stage of development are:

Against all odds, one car company survived it all. In a historic turn of events, faced with the real possibility of defeat, Ford Motor Company rallied to overcome what some found to be insurmountable circumstances. With common sense, tough decisions, and leadership second to none, they not only survived, they prospered. And it was on their own terms. Using common sense, a long term plan for survival and growth, we are a very different company. With products that exceed all competitors in every category, including safety, quality and fuel economy, we stand tall. Ford has earned more 5 Star rating than any other brand! For 38 years Ford has dominated the truck market....someone buys one every 42 seconds* And the best is yet to come... There are new products coming your way that will set you back on your heels……plus, they will be “best in Class” in EVERY CATEGORY! As a friend of mine in the business often says, “You will be satisfied.” I know it to be true. We thank you, for noticing and buying our products. That’s how the American tax payer votes! With our checkbook. With our hard earned dollars. With your loyalty to our “World Class” American products that take a back seat to no one, and never will. Barrette Ford is proud to have been your neighbor for the last 93 years. We have won the elite Presidents Award for customer satisfaction four times since 2010 for a reason. Our 14 long term employees are your friends and neighbors. We live next door. We make a living here. We belong to your schools. Barrette Ford is committed to you and your organizations. We have a strong belief that giving back to our community is an investment in our future. We are proud to do that. We owe that to our community for your support of our business. It is really that simple. Thank You, we look forward to serving you and your friends for a long time in the future. *based on US sales between Oct 2012-Oct. 2013

Established in 1972, the Hull Insurance Agency’s mission has been simple: treat each client with compassion, honesty, and integrity. Current owner and agency principals Sandy and Shawna Lovelette strongly believe in the same traditional values and business ethics the Hull Insurance Agency has been known for. We take the time to answer all your questions honestly, and give you a complete analysis of your current insurance protection. franklin county regional chamber of commerce
A Chamber member recently told us, “When I look at the list of benefits for belonging to the Chamber, it is easy to measure the value of our membership – I measure it in increased donor dollars, new partnerships, and exposure for my organization. Value is different for each member. To some, value is created with a connection to a new colleague or in knowledge gleaned from a professional development seminar. To other members, value affords the opportunity to voice an opinion or concern to an elected representative, or to sit one-on-one with a local marketing consultant. Still others believe in the power of networking at a monthly mixer or annual dinner.
The Chamber believes that value and Seated L-R: Lisamarie Charlesworth, Assistant to the Director community involvement go hand in hand. We participate in the Neighbor-2-Neighbor Program. It is based around the Shurfine label. For every case of Shurfine product we buy, our grocery supplier donates 5¢ to the program. Sylvester’s Market matches that 5¢ for a total of 10¢ per case. Then we take the money and make donations to local causes. We are proud to have contributed too many local organizations through this program.

This is the third time in four years we have been awarded this distinction. Two of our reporters, Michelle Monroe and Elodie Reed also won first place awards for their reporting on education, the environment and arts and entertainment. We continue as the county’s oldest business because the St. Albans Messenger gives our 15,000 readers the information they need to know about their communities.
