Winners of the Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Large Business Award

Our amazing staff:

Thank you, Franklin County for embracing FairPoint as your telecommunications provider! We value the many long-term partnerships that have allowed us to be a vital part of the communities we serve, which include our sponsorship of The Great Race, the Festival of Trees, and our involvement with the Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce, among many other quality endeavors. It’s the value of these relationships that has allowed us to build the sort of trust the Franklin County community expects and deserves. The way we see it, our business is more than fiber and wires and signals. It’s about forging connections great and small, ordinary and extraordinary. Check us out!

FairPoint is also proud of the many employees that maintain the quality service we offer for our Franklin County customers. Say hi to them when you see them around town.

Mylan Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1972 and operated as Jonergin until becoming BERTEK in 1986. BERTEK was purchased by Mylan Inc. in 1993 and changed the name to Mylan Technologies, Inc. in 1999. Mylan Inc. is a global pharmaceutical company committed to setting new standards in health care. Working together around the world to provide 7 billion people access to high quality medicine, we innovate to satisfy unmet needs; make reliability and service excellence a habit; do what’s right, not what’s easy; and impact the future through passionate global leadership. Mylan offers a growing portfolio of more than 1,300 generic pharmaceuticals and several brand medications. We also operate one of the largest active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturers and currently market products in approximately 140 countries and territories. Our workforce of more than 20,000 people is dedicated to improving the customer experience and increasing pharmaceutical access to consumers around the world. Mylan Technologies here in St. Albans specializes in transdermal drug technology and has developed more generic transdermal products than any other company in the United States. Over the past 18 months, Mylan Technologies has added approximately 185 people to our local workforce, growing to a workforce of more than 600! We are proud to be the largest private employer in Franklin County and a part of this wonderful community. Here at Mylan we feel the need to give back to those in our community. This year Mylan donated over $50,000 to the United Way, with half of that amount coming from employee contributions.

TDH’s goal is to provide a high quality of professional service at an affordable price. The method employed to reach this goal is hard work, low overhead and skilled workers without the layers of management within a larger firm.

One of the great things about living in a small town like St. Albans is knowing the folks you deal with everyday. Most of the staff at J & L Service Center have been here over ten years. So when you come in for a problem with your car, chances are not only do you recognize the technician working on it but they recognize you and your car. We will soon celebrate five years at our location at 216 South Main Street. We invite you to stop in when you need service on your car or truck. You can grab a cup of Green Mountain coffee, check e-mails on our WiFi, or just relax with today’s paper in our living room. Creating a

stronger community one person at a time.

EIGHT STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT - There are eight stages of development

during a person’s life.* The life cycle begins with the infant stage and progresses to toddler/ early childhood, followed by the preschooler and school-aged child stages, growing into adolescents then transitioning into young adult, followed by middle-age adult and finally, the older adult stage.

Each stage of development is marked by conflict for which a successful resolution will result in a favorable outcome. No matter what stage of development someone is in, it’s comforting to know that you can turn to Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) in your time of need. NCSS provides intervention and a continuum of support to individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral problems, mental illness and developmental disabilities. * According to Erik Erikson (1902-1994), a noted Danish-German-American developmental psychologist, every person must pass through a series of eight interrelated stages over the entire life cycle.

Among the NCSS staff providing services for each stage of development are:
