SUBMIT YOUR TRANSCRIPTS SHSU requires official transcripts from all institutions where you have enrolled in a course or courses, even if you did not attend or the course was not completed. Ask the school(s) to send official transcript(s) to SHSU (code: 003606).

SCHOLARSHIPS

shsu.edu/scholarships // (936) 294-1774 The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office administers more than 600 scholarships for achievement in academic, leadership, honors and extracurricular activities. SHSU uses a streamlined application, Scholarships4Kats, allowing students to be automatically considered for all relevant scholarships. Once accepted to SHSU, students have access to the online scholarship application portal.

TRANSFER STUDENT-SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIPS BEARKAT TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP

// shsu.edu/scholarships/transfer SHSU automatically awards Bearkat transfer scholarships to admitted transfer students who meet the conditions listed below. Awards are offered on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are available. No application necessary. ■ Be a first-time SHSU student ■ Transfer from an accredited community college or university ■ Be an undergraduate student seeking his/her first bachelor’s degree ■ Have a minimum of 45 transferable academic credit hours ■ Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

SMITH-HUTSON SCHOLARSHIP

// smith-hutson.shsu.edu The Smith-Hutson Scholarship is the most generous and prolific scholarship program offered at SHSU and was designed to build a community of scholars who demonstrate academic achievement, service and leadership. Students awarded Smith-Hutson Scholarships may receive financial support up to a maximum of $18,500 per academic year for up to four years for incoming freshmen and two years for transfer students. Smith-Hutson Scholars also benefit from tutorial support, academic advising, mentoring and professional development advising. Transfer applicants must: ■ Be a resident of Texas ■ Demonstrate academic and leadership potential ■ Have completed the first two years of their undergraduate degree ■ Plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree at SHSU ■ Demonstrate financial need ■ Be admitted for Fall 2021 at SHSU ■ Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) prior to submitting their scholarship application
