Azerbaijan Today, the English language magazine narrates the internal and external aspects of life in Azerbaijan. It has been THE INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE created to help the Government of Azerbaijan to improve the image of the country all over the world. In ďŹ &een years of Azerbaijan Today magazine has found its subscribers not only among diploma!c representa!ves and foreign companies, but also among nearly 2000 businessmen and common ci!zens of America and Europe. Azerbaijan Today has been implemen!ng joint projects with the leadership of the European Union and the governments of Norway, UK, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France and Germany for several years. Our goal is to inform our numerous readers about the role of bilateral rela!ons not only with European countries, but also with other countries in the development of our country since Azerbaijan gained its independence. 1

Our ideas are important and necessary for the development of hotel and restaurant sector. Associa!on covers of limited sector of the economy and this provides him a relevance and uniqueness. This useful and effec!ve Guide for foreign visitors and locals are widely dissemina!ng and reflects informa!on about hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping centres, bou!ques, entertainment, museums, exhibi!on halls, airlines, rent-a-car, travel agencies, taxi services, banks, mobile operators, gi& and souvenir shops, embassies and other tourism and public infrastructure. ©
Baku Guide is printed in 10 thousand copies and whole issue is distributed over the 500 local and foreign public places. In par!cular, the country's interna!onal airports, embassies and consulates abroad, domes!c and interna!onal exhibi!ons, mee!ngs, conferences, large companies, banks, tourism agencies, hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, tourist complexes, sport events and music fes!vals and so on.

Now is the !me of non-oil sector of the economy! One of the priori!es in this context is the tourism and hospitality industry. What progress in this area won? What is the strategy of development of tourism and hospitality industry? Will Azerbaijan to establish itself as a full-edged regional leader in tourism and what we should do in this regard? In this special issue we will try to answer these ques!ons through expert assessments and market analysis. Interna!onal magazine "Azerbaijan Today" in collabora!on with DAIR Hotels and Restaurants Associa!on and "Baku Guide" developed this special issue in order to contribute to increase the image of the country abroad. The publica!on will open deepest values of the Azerbaijani people, which reveal its ancient history, unique iden!ty and at the same !me mul!culturalism and tolerance. Dis!nc!ons of historical and architectural monuments, na!onal cuisine, folklore, clima!c features and recrea!onal opportuni!es of the country, as well as details of tourism infrastructure and other facili!es and condi!ons, which primarily form the interest of foreign tourists, will be reected in the pages of the magazine.
