GRUNHILDA VW Camper- I got the work done and been paid for the job. I really like doing this brief for the clients; I feel I have learnt a great deal working with and for these people on this brief. The open deadline was a concern of mine as long deadlines can make me less proactive but as I keep in contact with the clients on this brief I keep chipping away. I may have another project with these clients and the other designs I produced for this project. The only Thing is I would of liked to have a photo of the finished decals on the van but they have not turned up before the submission date. Out Of Order show – Created a print for a show that the other members of the course organized and out on, then we had the opportunity to make so art work to display. As the show was called out of order I decided to uses imagery that you don’t normally get in these little print shows at shops. I used a pentagram and a demon with quarters of Yorkshire roses in the corners. I liked the end result of the print but the people who visited the show dint think so as I got all my prints back. Decks For Change- I had to create a illustration that could try highlight a issue in my area. I decided that as I know plenty of people including myself who suffer with bad mental health and I feel it’s a issue that needs addressing, or should I say the one thing that can help massively with mental health and that’s talking. I feel the end image could have been constructed better with the colours I used and hoe I applied it. Also the end image was very conceptual and was hard to understand what it was, so I should of put some text or illustrated words on it too better get my message across. We Are Boutique – I decided at the last minute I was going to submit a design for the brief to create a mural that would show the history of a new office space and Leeds. I decided to put elements of the Leeds coat of arms and the animal that is on Leeds town hall the Leeds owl. With this I focused on the name of the office space the design was going in which was ‘the fell’. I drew a mural with a pair of owls cutting down a tree with the words the fell made in tis branches. It was not selected to be put on the wall. I should of developed the final image better with spending time on getting the line work perfect and real neat looking. FMP - Fowl t-shirt range – I set myself the task of getting my brand up and running so when uni is done I can continue to produces work and make merchandise of the designs I have. I set up my website and brand for my OUIL602 project so for my OUIL603 I wanted to make some products that I could put on my website to sell and get the ball rolling for my brand. I set my self the task of coming up with 5 designs or a range of shirts, I worked with the word FOWL for the range as its what best suits my mood towards most things the last 1 or so. With this word I used it to illustrated images that best got my idea across so with skulls I decided to use the body of bird s that come from the fowl family such as chickens, pigeons, gooses. I had plenty of designs to be able to get merchandise made from. But I wanted to print the shirts myself as in the long run this would be more cost efficient. This also got me to get my home screen-printing setup back to full working order and used. I have to say it feels bad that I have shied away from printing the whole time if been on the course but its good as I get to make my FMP out of it . In the end I am really happy with what I have produced and made. I dint get the full 5 t-shirts printed but 4 instead this was due to me not having confidence in the other designs and some not fitting the full brief. They are all up on my website just waiting for me to change the status to ‘on sale’ (I’m waiting till I have submitted before I take on more work that I will struggle to get done with the work load of a submission.)

Stranger Christmas Card – This was a wasted and missed opportunity for me as I produced the work with plenty of tine before the final deadline. This then lead to me putting the work to one side and completely forgetting about it and missing the deadline for submissions. The finished image that I was going to submit where very Christmassy but I will now not know how they would of done. Traveling Man Fan Art Show – The course was asked to put on a show for a local comic book shop. The brief was to produce a poster to be hung in the centre of the shop on display and for sale. I loved this brief as I had not done any fan art before but loved doing a poster for my favourite film Mars Attacks. I have been into the shop on a few occasions to see if they have been taken down but still they are up and for sale in the shop and I have been told that I have sold a few of mine but just need to invoice the shop to get payment for the ones sold. The shop is willing to still continue to show them until they have something to replace them with. Long Board Design – This was a brief that I started on doing the development work to start the project off but I don’t continue with it as other projects and work took over and I never came back to this brief which is a shame as now looking back at it I could of created a unique design for a area I’m wanting to work towards the skate, snow and surf industry’s. Red Beard food + drink – This brief is going to have to continue you on after the submission date as due to a late entry to my projects and already having loads of work on at the time I could not make a start as soon as a would of liked to. With this work been with a client I’m waiting on a meeting with them to discuses the idea further as the only communication we have had is over the internet, I have a very clear idea on what I think the products are going to look like, but I don’t want to get too carried away on that one idea they sent me other. I am really looking forward to getting properly stuck in on this brief as its really took my interest trying to put a different spin on my work to adapt it to represent food and drink products.
