Mark of the soul “Excuse me, what does your name begin with?” Puzzled I looked up and with slight hesitation responded; “S, why?” The tattooist then began to explain how one of his regular clients was filling in the gaps of his tattoo’s with people names, and did I want to sign up to become another name on his clients leg. Now I am not one to shy away from anything taboo, I have piercings and a tattoo myself, yet I could not fathom why a stranger who did not know me, would be willing to have my name etched into his skin for the rest of his life. We All Start As Strangers This shoot was inspired by East End London Street style and was shot on location in Brick Lane. Styling was layered with a variety of textured vintage and high street pieces to create an eclectic look. Styling and photography by Sammie Brannen

It features both visual and written content inside. This issue takes inspiration from the love letters and memories of one couple and explores what objects we choose to keep with us as memories it also looks into the association we have with certain things. It shows the past the present and the future of where objects go. It looks at the traces people leave behind & the present memory people have with objects and where their memories go to rest.

Associations The cycles are pure and unique to one another. The association we have with a person, a object, a place, may be like no other. Yet when the association has been made You can be sure it will not willingly fade. Words by Sammie Brannen

Trend Forecasting This was a live brief with the Trend agency Trend Bible. Working with their predicted trends for Spring/ Summer 2015 we had to research and develop a trend that fitted within the categories. The chosen trend that was researched into was New habitats which focuses around new possible locations that people at some point in the future may look into relocating to.

New Habitats What was once a childhood dream could now not just be an idea conjured up in your imagination. With cities becoming more and more overpopulated and crowded and with people having a longer life expectancy we are having to find new habitats to explore and consider moving into. If we as a species want to continue growing then we must look to most sustainable ways of living. With tree house escapes and resorts available to stay in why not embrace being at one with nature and invest into a habitat of the future. Treehouse living Words by Sammie Brannen

Hereafter Festival Hereafter festival is an event I have created for my final major project. It is based around the theme of wellbeing and escapism. For it’s intimate sense of community the location is set to be the beautiful back drop of Polhawn Fort in Cornwall. I as the events manager will be in charge of all aspects of concept design, logistics, production, budget and promotion throughout the process.

Hereafter Festival is a weekend event based around the theme of escapism. It is an all immersing experience that allows the consumer to fully escape reality for a short time. It focuses around the core theme of wellbeing and relaxation. Hereafter is about creating a sense of community and unity between all the people who are attending. It is about bringing a group who may not in ordinary circumstances come together. The event is about giving yourself the right to freedom and allowing yourself to go back to your basics needs as a human and forget the use of technology and social media. It is about forming real new relationships with each other. The event focuses around freeing your senses and allowing yourself to fuel your mind and to be captivated at every different opportunity.
