I am a fourth-year architecture student at Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Kolkata. I believe architecture is a problem-solving tool, that deals with the issues related to the social aspects and user experience by involving design and preparing for its impact in the future. Here is a compilation of a few of my works, to give you a glimpse of the contemplation and design orientation that I have developed in the past four years of exploration in the field of architecture. College-redesign INTERIOR DESIGN
The primary intent of the project is to encourage the school in paving its own unique identity and having its own interactive built environment within the University. The design of the school should foster a positive pedagogical environment for students. (Not confined within a box, spaces that encourage students to think, question, and explore) To enhance the ambiance that seals the gap between the thought process and creativity complementing the unique blend of theory and practical learning. (What we are learning about, we can look around and see)

CONCEPT Architecture is not just a backdrop; it participates in all crucial changes affecting our lives. We all interact with architecture on a daily basis and relate to it on a practical and emotional level in both the way a structure appears in its context and by the interior environment. It stands as a representation of how we see ourselves and how we see the world. Hence architecture plays a major role in the emergence of human civilization. Similarly in this design, we have proposed exposed materials on the walls of studios, classrooms, and labs to emphasize the resemblance of the rawness of a beginner who enters the world of architecture. This unprocessed perception of the students gets refined over time through experiences and set a stage to bring our social intentions and creativity together. In addition to this, students get exposure and become familiar with these raw materials used in construction, The reason behind choosing mute and subtle colors for the rest of the walls is so that priority is given to the foreground (i.e. displays and artwork of the students.) than the background.
FLOOR PLAN OF AMITY SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING
The common room is kept open and it is located at the focal point of the department to make sure that it is accessible to anyone at any time.
(SCALE – 1:500)
Studios 1 and 2 are assigned for the junior years keeping in mind its proximity to the labs (survey and climatology lab) and faculty room. Whereas Studios 3 and 4 are placed adjacent to the computer lab as more software related work are required in final years of architecture. We have also introduced seating in the breakout spaces which will serve as the recreational and relaxed setting for both faculties as well as for students. CORRIDOR FLOOR PATTERN

LIBRARY
Initially, the faculty room had a linear cellular layout which definitely ensure privacy but prevents communication. Hence keeping intact the cubicles we rearrange their position in order to create a visual connection but not interfere with individuals’ privacy.
A separate shelf is designated in the faculty room that acts as the storage space for the displays and portfolios. We have proposed a separate visitors sitting area in front of the faculty room in other to avoid any kind of scattered gathering.

Nestled LANDSCAPE DESIGN-ASSISTED LIVING
Seniors must retain independence and control over their lives and schedules while still having access to their care. Striking that balance is one of the key benefits of assisted living. This design aims to reduce stress and dramatically improve seniors' quality of life.

Vehicular circulation
The main motive of our design is to value life to its fullest potential when it comes to making an older individual feel at home and also be able to focus on non-stressful activities.

Re-orientate THE DESIGNER’S ABODE- CONTAINER STUDIO
Shipping container architecture is a modern sustainable way of adaptively re-purposing cargo shipping containers. The aim is to welcome resourceful and inventive use of the shipping container to design the studio, the pavilion space, and the café. The use of the shipping container is to unveil the possibility that even low cost and re-used material can be designed to be beautiful, contemporary, and sustainable, all at the same time

Stress is the state of tension experienced by individuals facing too many demands, constraints, or opportunities in a workplace atmosphere. Through our design, we aim to create spaces where all designers can work peacefully while being connected to the external as well as internal environment henceforth establishing harmony between productivity and comfort. The arrangement of spaces shows the gradual transformation from the public (café ) to semi-public (pavilion) to private ( studio ) spaces

Perspective sections of the studio
To enhance the creative process inside a working mind, the workspaces are made double in height with the waiting area being triple heightened as high ceilings enable free-thinking and creativity. The use of prefabricated polycarbonate sheet over the triple heightened space cuts off the excessive sun glare and brings more natural light into the studio. Hence reducing the use of artificial lighting and making the design more sustainable.

Tranquilla MEDITATION AND YOGA CENTRE
In the present day, we have hi-tech medical facilities & medications but somehow they fail to deliver the results when it comes to mental peace. The practice of Meditation & Yoga combined has provided the best results in scientific studies also. Yoga & Meditation in India were first practiced only by religious monks. Today millions of people worldwide roll out their mats daily to practice and is now a worldwide phenomenon. The aim of the design is to promote open and enclosed retreat centers which have now become the need of the hour in today’s world.

The main concept behind the design is a mind-body-spirit connection which means we are our bodies, our emotions, and our spirituality, all these things combine to give us identity, determine our health, and make us who we are.
Mind – In this design, the Nucleus is represented as the mind. A structure with a chime is designed with the sole purpose to reduce stress and promote relaxation and calmness. Soul – The temple here stands in for soul since the soul is the spiritual essence of a person Body – The pathways here depict the body. A well-connected pathway eases the circulation and binds the different structures together just like the body binds the mind with the soul.
Gathering spaces are incorporated at different locations on the site to provide people with opportunities to come together and engage with the community.
We have also introduced paddle yoga in our design to give the users a combined experience of yoga and floating on water to relieve stress and increase relaxation.
A structure with a chime is designed with the sole purpose to reduce stress and promote relaxation and calmness also acting as a congregation space
To relive the Kerala backwaters experience, petal-shaped, shaded floating structures are designed for dining.
Referred to as the Venice of the East, Alappuzha is known for its backwaters and its vast waterways, houseboats, & coir industry. It is situated on the southern - western coast of India in the state of Kerala.

The concept aiding the site’s landscaping was to make use of the available green spaces in planting herbs that are indigenous to the geographical area and of great importance to its direct community. We have used ayurvedic and medicinal herbs for the same.

Oblivia A place that lacks acceptance and reprehends for being unique. Where people are more harshly critical or judgmental of others than of themselves. Hence this community has a tendency to isolate distinctiveness and stop evolution. People’s predetermined conceptions about others distort the true perception of them. There is no point in education if one continues to judge others based on their belief. From accusing people of their choices to forcing them to change their personality, ceases the growth of an individual and a society as a whole. This leads to harming an individual’s self-esteem resulting in stress, weakening one physically and emotionally. In the fear of facing social rejection, people tend to change themselves according to the norms rather than reframing the standards of society. This scenario has a close resemblance to the present condition of our society where one refrains from unfamiliarity.
Embracia A place that opens possibilities and acknowledges differences by expanding the gap between observation and conclusion. An establishment that embraces variation and breaks all the stereotypes and societal conventions. In which people are not judged based on their choices. Instead, the community understands and respects each other’s sufferings and does not restrict their thoughts in a pigeonhole. A place where an individual has the right to express and be the original self without the fear of being criticized or suppressed by the pre-conceived notion. An evolved mind allows one to determine judiciously and enhance creativity by recognizing ideas, questioning assumptions, and experimenting that accelerates the process of exploration. Hence preventing all scope of discrimination and injustice. Here, society does not comment on the shortcomings but rather observes and experiences the flaws to promote authenticity and establish perfection in imperfection.
