Work undertaken during a 14 month placement at Microsoft Studios; primarily focused on the creation of applications for the Xbox One. Engaged with the process end-to-end; research, wireframing, iteration, prototyping and visual development.

01 USER TESTING Usability tests were conducted using ‘the tours’ framework; encouraging users to navigate the application whilst channeling the intentions of a given persona.

03 final year project
A work in progress; artwork preview of my university final year project. A communications device for those with acquired degenerative conditions. Uses multiple modes of input to facilitate ease and dignity of use across the whole condition.

02 REDESIGN; COMMUNICATIONS AID A communications aid for those with acquired conditions of deteriorating health. It is possible to interface with the device through touch screen, gesture control or eye gaze. This is facilitated with a consistent system architecture which ensures seamless interaction. Uses visual semantics of highly stylised products as a means to avoid the stigmas typically associated with assistive technology devices.

Telefonica - O2
DCA - ‘Best of the Best’ Awarded
University-directed live brief with O2. Constituted the development of a phone application which used NFC technonology to promote budgeting while travelling.
A one-week design project for DCA; investigating ways to promote engagement with photography. ‘Best of the Best’ accolade was awarded for the submission.

E-on Energy
RSA Student Design Awards Entry
University-directed live brief with E-on Energy. The project constituted the research, development and visualisation of a tablet application for smart homes.
A research-driven project looking at ways to promote healthy eating for children. Proposal utilised principles of ‘engagement through ownership’.
