TECHNICAL INFORMATION
TECHNICAL information Radianz速 Quartz is a smooth, non-porous and hygienic interior material that is highlighted by luxurious soft textures. Fusing together the elegance of natural grantie patterns, superior durability and workability of solid surface, and, similar to a diamond, the splendor of transparent chips, we enhance the beauty of the space.

Care & Maintenance
Radianz® Quartz Surfaces is made from good quality raw materials that present exception physical and mechanical feature together with unique beauty ideal for interior decoration. It requires very little maintenance as its unique production process creates a surface with low porosity, which prevents fluid absorption.
1. Routine cleaning On a day-to-day basis Radianz® simply require a wipe down with a soft cloth of soap and warm water to maintain its natural beauty and shine. Polished Radianz® has a low porosity it does not require the application of any surface sealants and naturally resistance to surface staining from cooking oils, wine, coffee etc. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent is enough to your Radianz® countertop looking like new. If necessary, use a non-abrasive soft soap along with a non-scratch or delicate scrub pad. Afterwards, thoroughly rinse with clean water to remove residue.
2. Stubborn marks If needed, apply a non-abrasive household cleaner and rinse to remove residue. For marks that harden when they dry (food,gum etc) remove by gently scraping the material off the Radianz® surface using a plastic putty knife or no-scratch Scotch-Brite® pad and then use a damp cloth to remove any marks or residual dirt. Never use Methylene Chloride or cleaners containing any alkaline materials.
Note : Radianz® is much harder than the steel blade so excessive scrapping of a blade on the surface
may abrade the blade and leave a gray mark on the surface.
3. Heat damage Radianz® is extremely resistant to heat and can withstand high temperatures for brief periods of time without damage. Although Radianz® is more heat resistance than most other surfaces, all stone can be damaged by sudden and extreme temperature change especially near the edges. For this reason we strongly recommended using a trivet or hot pad to protect your Radianz® work surface from extreme heat.
4. Scratch resistance Radianz® is substantially harder than natural stone and highly resistant to scratch. However avoid abuse of the surface by refraining from using sharp objects such as sharp knives or screw drivers directly onto the surface.
5. Products that should be avoided - Cleaners that contain Pine Oil. Without very thorough rinsing, these products can leave behind a residue of pine oil. The pine oil then attracts and holds dirt on the surface, eventually reducing the cleanliness of the surface and its appearance. - Highly aggressive cleaning agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have high alkaline/pH levels (pH 8.5 or higher) - Abrasive scrubs/cleaners containing either soft or hard abrasive particles. The abrasives will harm Radianz速 and if the surface is not completely rinsed, a powder residue will remain reducing the appearance of the surface, especially ondark colors. - Cleaners that contain xylene, toluene, potassium hydroxide or caustic soda. - Paint removers, Furniture strippers containing trichlorethane or methylene chloride.

1. Test method - ASTM E 84 Surface Building Characteristics of Building Materials - Sample Prepapation and Conditioning Three pieces of sample were placed into the fire chamber end to end supported on screen and rods, to form a 21 inches wide X 24 feet long for testing, than was covered with inorganic cement boards to protect the chamber lid. - Test Procedure The tunnel was thoroughly pre-heated by burning natural gas. When the brick temperature, sensed by a floor thermocouple, had reached the prescribed 105° Fahrenheit +/-5° Fahrenheit level, the sample was inserted in the tunnel and test conducted in accordance with the standard ASTM E84-09 procedure. The operation of the tunnel was checked by performing a 10-minute rest with inorganic board on the day of the test. - Rating The National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code 101, Section 6-5.3, “Interior Wall and Ceilling Finish Classification”, has a means of classifying materials with respect to Flame Spread and Smoke Developed when tested in accordance with NFPA 255, “Method of Test of Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials” (ASTM E84). 1. Test method - ANSI Z124.6 - Section 5.2 Stain Resistance - Test Procedure Two(2) drops of each of the following liquid reagents shall be applied to the surface of Radianz速 Expose the sample for 16 hours ; Covered with glass plate and uncovered. The maximum allowable total rating shall be 64. The maximum allowable thickness of material removed to eliminate the stain shall be 0.012mm.

Commercial SAMSUNG RADIANZ® QUARTZ SURFACES COMMERCIAL 10-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (PRODUCT ONLY) Radianz® (the “Product”) that has been permanently installed in an approved indoor commercial application and is in its originally installed location is warranted by SAMSUNG/Samsung SDI Chemical. (hereunder “SAMSUNG”) for a period of ten (10) years from date of initial installation under normal use. This warranty is not transferable and only applies to the original owner. SAMSUNG, at its sole discretion, will either provide replacement product or repair defective products during the warranty period. SAMSUNG shall have no liability for any expense, damage, or other losses, in connection with the installation of the Product. To qualify for service under this warranty, the original owner must provide immediate notice to SAMSUNG, no later than ten (10) days after discovery of any alleged manufacturing defect. SAMSUNG or its service agent must be permitted to properly inspect the Product and to follow proper warranty procedures. All decisions made by SAMSUNG in respect to the presence of manufacturing defects affecting this warranty shall be final. The fabricator/installer is obligated to inspect the Product prior to fabrication and installation to ensure its suitability for the project. THIS WARRANTY EXCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: 1. Misuse or abuse (including uneven exposure to direct sunlight, outdoor exposure and use, damage caused by excessive impact, discoloring caused by exposure to certain chemical reagents, and damage from exposure to extreme heat); 2. The Product moved from its original place of installation; 3. Chips, cracks or any other impact damage; 4. Improper Installation or Maintenance (improper care and maintenance may result in staining, abrasion marks, cracking or chipping);
5. Damage caused by exposure to extreme heat (Trivets and hot pads should always be used); 6. Damage caused by an act of nature; 7. Failure not to comply with SAMSUNG’s instructions including Fabrication, Installation, Care & Maintenance, etc.; 8. The Product is stain-resistant, but is not 100% impervious to stains. Many common stains can be removed with proper cleaning. Staining is not covered under this warranty; 9. The product is scratch resistant; however, scratches may occur with improper use. Residential SAMSUNG RADIANZ® QUARTZ SURFACES RESIDENTIAL 15-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Radianz® (the “Product”) that has been permanently installed and is in its originally installed location is warranted by SAMSUNG/Sam-
sung SDI Chemical. (hereunder “SAMSUNG”) to be free of manufacturing defects. The Product must be fabricated and installed by an authorized Radianz® Fabricator/Installer, and used and maintained in accordance with instructions provided by SAMSUNG. During the first fifteen (15) years after the date of initial installation, SAMSUNG, at its option, will repair or replace without charge if the Product fails due to a manufacturing defect. Although SAMSUNG shall make its best effort to repair or replace with the best possible color match to the original as possible, SAMSUNG cannot guarantee that the repair or replacement will be an exact color match to the original. To obtain service under this limited warranty, you must reasonably cooperate with Samsung’s authorized service agents and provide access to the installation site. This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser and only when the Product has been paid in full. This warranty is non-transferable and non-assignable. Any associated repair or replacement cost other than the Product will be the original purchaser’s responsibility.

17. Alteration of the Product thickness; 18. Installation of sinks; 19. Damage as a result of dry polishing or cutting; 20. Alterations to the factory finish; 21. Damages from other than manufacturing defect; 22. For the Products not paid in full; 23. Any Product installed or located outdoors, such as outdoor kitchens, BBQ work surfaces, or in heated areas such as saunas, steam rooms, and shower pans; 24. Residence not occupied by the original purchaser; 25. Other installations such as boats, recreational vehicles and flooring; and 26. This Warranty does not cover the use of the Product for commercial purposes. “Commercial purposes” are defined as any application other than for use in a residential home interior as defined within this Residential 15-Year Limited Warranty.
Except as to what is stated in this limited warranty herein, SAMSUNG makes no warranties, express or implied, in respect to the Product, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties hereby are expressly disclaimed. SAMSUNG does not warrant that the Product will meet the original purchaser’s requirements. SAMSUNG shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, special, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including lost goodwill, lost profits, lost business, or other indirect economic damages, and further including injury to property, whether such claim is based on theories of contract, negligence, tort (including strict liability) or otherwise, as a result of breach of any warranty regardless of whether SAMSUNG was advised, had other reason to know, or in fact knew of the possibility of such damages.
