Street Fighter Android – Yet Another Old School Release for Android The applications for Android are quickly gaining popularity, mostly because new programs show up almost everyday. Whether you look after specific applications for your needs, your favorite games from childhood or new and innovative programs, the market is quickly getting closer to the Apple store size. The competition has never been tougher and according to most statistics, it is only a matter of time until the Android market becomes larger. The mobile phones relying on this operating system also gain popularity, sometimes because of the phone brand and other times because of Android. The games for this open source operating system have reached unusual limits, especially since you can find today some of the oldest and most attractive games ever. Mario doesn't need too many presentations. The blue robed plumber with mustache is probably the most famous gaming character in the history. These days, you can also find it on Android, with the same 2D graphics you were used to. But this is not everything. Street Fighter Android version is currently one of the top releases for 2012. Everyone knew Street Fighter IV was about to hit the devices based on Android, but the developers kept delaying the official release date. Whether it was a matter of programming or an idea to keep the users anxious and eager, the game can now be purchased through Android Market starting with May, 2012. The developers – Capcom – made the final announcement at CES 2012. The Android edition of the game was named Street Fighter IV HD. Unlike the common computer version, this new one brings in a few special features. The game provides support for multiplayer games through a Wi-Fi connection, making it even more entertaining. The game is compatible with both the Android smartphones and the tablets based on this system. Unlike the iOS version of the game – Street Fighter IV Volt, the Android edition is almost two times more expensive, yet very affordable. The Apple version was released two years ago and was not too popular. Other than that, the Android version brings back the famous characters and their moves, without any significant changes. However, this is not the only top old school game released for Android. Metal Slug Android version is now just as popular. The legendary game has returned and can be played on tablets and smartphones too. Just like in the old computer versions, you gain access to a series of slugs and numerous weapons in order to fight and live on the harsh battlefield. Compared to the first versions, this Android one has a few changes. For instance, the Neogeo 2D release only gave you access to the arcade mode. Today, you have the mission mode too, which allows you to pick what level you want to play. You are now free to take training sessions in the complicated stages, in order to successfully bypass them. The list of old school games released for Android can easily go on and the future seems pretty bright for the fans.
