Sahara Eco-House Winter 2017

The idea of the project is based on a clear desire to adapt to such an inhospitable environment as the desert; To blend in with the surroundings and take advantage of the disadvantages of this place are the key points of the project. In this way we make use of natural agents through fogcatching towers, vertical structures located in the common spaces designed to collect drinking water from the air, as well as a fabric cover that integrates high-efficiency ultra-thin photovoltaic cells and allows us to obtain energy from renewable origin in a fast and sustainable way. In the design of houses and common spaces, indigenous materials (wood and textile fabrics) have been used, trying to achieve a perfect integration with the environment. The organic form of all volumes allows great flexibility in terms of use and distribution, and greater use of space.

Through the Clouds Spring 2017 First Price.

Sensations, perception, reality, environment, diffusion... Being able to play with all these elements through the creation of new atmospheres in Tudela. The installation attempts to replicate the open structure of the clouds, which works by varying the density of the modules by admitting sunlight through the white steel construction. A temporary installation, created for people to walk through it. Take us out of our place, our usual space and transport us to a new stage in which to be, take advantage of this convergence and enjoy the Atmosphere festival held in this beautiful city. The proposed installation deals with this, through this structure we can see the great walls of the Decanal Palace completely different. From the clouds that we usually have in the sky to the streets that are traveled day after day; the structure wants to blur reality, see it through another eye that we are not used to.

Art’s Island Spring 2017

“The Art’s Island”. This is the premise on which the project created in London will be based, in one of its most emblematic sites, Hyde Park, the lung of the city will be the scene of how artists from all over the world will be able to come together in this place with the capacity to exist and to inhabit between them and nature. The tension that will be generated in the Cave created in this island will give us with these results, the purest materials that we can find, such as sand and stone, and then the austerity of the concrete will give us a unique interior spaces at the time of the recreaction. The Great gap created in said cave as a large natural window that will allow us to perceive the passage of time, emulating the Roman Pantheon, as well as the advantage of throwing natural light over said cave. Everyone’s home is nature, and having the option of being able to exist and coexisting with it brings us closer to the essential, to be able to find ourselves in this place that can also be shared with other people.

Bons Sons Autoum 2016 Honorable Mention.

The aim of the project is to create and propose three different atmospheres where your feelings about Bons Sons festival can be contrasted. The three atmospheres are built with the unic materials we propose in different density, heigh and shape. A colourful and lightlly cloud of paper lantern, the massiveness of the ropes crossing the central space and finally the emptiness itself where enjoy the blue sky of Cem Soldos. At the same time the tools we propose could be used to colonizate the entire village, giving unity to the complex where the festival takes form. The construction process is based on the use of standar pieces and Aits easy assembly. The whole project is designed with one single type of wood strips, sheet metal, rope and different colours of paper lantern.

House for Surfers in Tarifa Spring 2016 Honorable Mention.

The project emerges as an accommodation answer directed towards a specific community: surfers, whose attitude goes beyond the mere physical activity to become a complete way of life. Contact with the sea happens to be essential, as the project seeks to generate little impact on the superb seaside landscape. Therefore, large nets are spread out due to light and ephemeral support system: posts and stretched ropes resembling Berber tents in the sand of the desert extended in the horizon facing the coast of Tarifa. Nets are the support on which the living cells are laid out, conceived to ensure the maximum autonomy and flexibility in terms of location. In this way, a compact disc received when arriving can be fixed to the net, turning out an inflatable capsule in which having a rest and keeping equipment is possible. The net itself provides connection among capsules and the free choice of settlement strengthens social relations and the exchange of experiences.

Museum of Archeology of Delphi. Greece. Spring 2016. Instructor: Alberto Campo Baeza Second Prize in Best Academy Project DTF

Greece as a culture has been a fundamental pillar in all Western thought, we find here the idea of the project, the idea of being eternal and infinite. The interior spaces that will be generated will be fluid and continuous, opening in the determined places; Will generate tensions in double and triple heights that will also serve to accommodate the exhibition of archaeological objects that will house inside. This flowing space is infinite, since at a certain point in the journey through the museum, the ceiling becomes ground and vice versa. This eternity is found through form, space, and architectural intention, this band that will be created will make this dream of eternity become a reality, the route through the museum will flow between its curved enclosures and its constant adaptation To the land. Always remembering where we are, in the cradle of Western culture.

House in Jeju. South Korea Spring 2017. Instructor: Hyun Seok Kang

Dream It Yourself. The housing that is formed from human needs. After looking for the ideal module for the creation of this house, we generated a modulation by boxes of 1.2m x 1.2m. These measures are due to the standard dimensions of furniture, thus configuring a perfect solution for the efficiency and speed in the construction of it. The combination of these modules, constitute the total of the house. Finally we proceed to open gaps, finishing configuring the final space of the house. The materiality of this home offers us the warmth and individuality that all people need. The proportions of it and the tension between the different rooms provide us with the unique quality of life that we all long for.

Market in Valencia. Spain. Autoum 2016. Instructor: Emilio TuĂąon

Near the area of the boat will propose a zone of market with different public areas and a parking with capacity for 100 cars individual cars and 5 buses. With this premise, a range of different volumes and spaces are proposed, generating among them different public spaces for stays and recreation. The different volumes of the volumes will be played with the open market areas (which will be the main volume) and the greenhouses area, while the parÂŹking of passenger cars, the bus station and the area Will have a reflective coating on the outside. This intervention is intended a set of different types of reflections and volumes that will generate the names of formerly public outdoor spaces completely linked to the interior spaces. In addition, the impact of the car park in the area of the lagoon is concealed as it is concealed by the reflective coating.

House for Entrepreneurs in Seoul. South Korea Autoum 2016. Instructor: Hyun Seok Kang

This new building will represent the new era of all of the young entrepeneurs. It will have a lot to chances to improve theirself. To adapt to the continuous function of our era the building mixes the functions of living, working and playing, with the aim of being able to soften, help or promote the objectives of the customers. The building shows a great contrast between dynamism and stability. In the life of people, when they are resting they need a certain stability, the regularity of the accommodations will provide it but when you look at the building from outside, you will appreciate a changing and moving facade. While in the work area, dynamic internal spaces, open with double and triple heights and different connections, are opposed to the neutrality and tranquility of its facade. The connecting link and most important part of the building is the playing area, a first conection is produced in the basement that unites both worlds and turns them into one, thus giving a new mixed function to our building.

Students Dorms in Madrid. Spain Spring 2015. Instructor: Raul del Valle

Designed as a landmark in one of the most important neighborhoods of Madrid, this student residence seeks to create and enhance the use of the University and education, the building is composed of several floors displaced between them, in which there are rooms for students And areas where they can relate to each other and enjoy both the district of Madrid and the comfort offered by this student residence. Its glass enclosure allows a permanent visual connection with the adjoining streets, allowing a perpetual desire to get out and interact for the youth who will live there. The common rooms will be closely linked to student rooms and accessible to everyone. Finally it is possible to emphasize the building in which it will be placed next to the residence, that will function of gymnasium and of public square, since the cover of this one is totally passable and useful for all.
