Storia della Fantoni Srl
Fantoni produces quality hunting, tactical and divers knives since 1980. They are using different traditional and modern technologies for processing of martensitic, austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, for heat and surface treatments in relation to specific uses. Even the auxiliary materials are selected primarily in relation to the function of a knife. It was certainly the first Italian company in this industry sector to use a designer, starting with Moris Baroni, who collaborated since 1985 on several of our projects, to R.W.Loveless, William W. Harsey, Tommaso Rumici and at last Chris Reeve. The design in a knife consists of aesthetics and functionality, materials, processes, treatments and systematic checks are the result of appropriate and scrupulous choices gained over time in high tech environments. The production processes, then, are consequential to achieve the prescribed quality. Relationships with customers, past and new, located in various parts of the world are of great help to grow in the knowledge that concern the development of new technologies for product and process. The Fantoni puts special care in choice of steel that must be of excellence in chemical composition, purity and mechanical properties. Even in this case, the knowledge, the experience and practice of Fantoni were of great help in defining the product lines and related manufacturing processes. The Fantoni, confirming their knowledge of technology, is proud to be partner with some of the most prestigious steel plants to develop and test new types of Steel. The Fantoni till now has produced almost exclusively with the trademarks of customers (Gerber, Lone Wolf Knives, Beretta, Oceanic, Aqualung, Sea Quest, Suunto). Now is pleased to present the market with their own brand. The experiences gained in other areas of high technology (Turbine Blades)has led at the Introduction of Quality System Assurance that is essential in order to maintain the quality and if necessary to improve it.
La Fantoni produce coltelli da caccia, tattici e per subacquei di qualità fin dal 1980. Utilizza diverse tecnologie tradizionali e moderne per la lavorazione d’acciai inossidabili martensitici, austenitici e fereritici, per i trattamenti termici e superficiali in funzione dei specifici impieghi. E non solo anche i materiali accessori sono scelti prevalentemente in relazione all’impiego del coltello. È stata certamente la prima azienda del settore in Italia ad utilizzare designer a cominciare da Moris Baroni che dal 1985 collabora a diversi nostri progetti, per arrivare a R.W.Loveless, a William W. Harsey, a Tommaso Rumici e da ultimo a Chris Reeve. Il design che si compone di estetica e funzionalità del coltello, i materiali, le lavorazioni, i trattamenti ed i sistematici controlli sono frutto di appropriate ed oculate scelte maturate nel tempo in ambienti ad alta tecnologia. I processi produttivi, poi, sono consequenziali al fine di raggiungere la qualità prestabilita. I rapporti con la clientela, del passato e nuova, dislocata in varie parti del mondo sono di forte aiuto nel fare crescere le conoscenze che consentono la messa a punto di nuove tecnologie di prodotto e processo. La Fantoni pone particolare cura nella scelta degli acciai che devono esser d’eccellenza per composizione chimica, purezza e proprietà meccaniche. Anche in questo caso la conoscenza, l’esperienza e la pratica di Fantoni sono state di grande aiuto nella definizione delle linee di prodotto e dei relativi processi di fabbricazione. La Fantoni, a conferma delle proprie conoscenze tecnologiche, è orgogliosa di collaborare con alcune delle Acciaierie più prestigiose per sviluppare e testare nuovi tipi d’acciaio. La Fantoni fino ad oggi ha prodotto quasi esclusivamente con marchi dei clienti (Gerber, Lone Wolf Knives, Beretta, Oceanic, Aqualung, Sea Quest, Suunto). Ora è lieta di presentarsi sul mercato con il proprio. Le esperienze maturate in altri settori di alta tecnologia (Palette per turbina) ha portato all’introduzione nell’Azienda del Sistema d’assicurazione della Qualità, necessaria al fine di mantenere la qualitativa e se necessario incrementarla.
