Cocktail app

The Brief

Considerations

Develop and propose a solution for a working cocktail app for the IPhone/ IPad, which teaches people how to make cocktails.

Format and sizing, having to fit within the screen. Informing and instructing the readers. Images Information graphics and/or photography.

Concept/Proposition The app can focus on a range of cocktails, which can be learnt using the app. The app will use the various features that the IPhone has including (Touch screen, gyro and the accelerometer)

Mandatory Requirements On going visual investigation using the relevant blogs to document my work. Target Audience

Deliverables

Highbrow, cocktail drinkers. IPhone and IPad users.

Considerations

Create a catalogue for a bespoke bike company/ independent cycle shop.

Format, stock and print processes. Colour, imagery, layout and type. How the audience interact with the format. (Form and function)

Concept/Proposition To create a catalogue for a bespoke bike company/ independent bicycle shop focusing on print processes, format and stock really exploring and experimenting with what is out there. Look books, magazines and contemporary prints are the basis of the research broadening out to visual culture.

Mandatory Requirements Visual investigation documented on relevant blogs.

Target Audience

Deliverables

Cycle enthusiasts with the interest in bespoke bicycles.

Printed catalogue. Any other printed/ digital material to work in conjuntion with it.

Adopt a Word

The Brief The Adopt a word website encourages people to choose a word and donate money to own the word for a year. The money goes towards helping children in the UK.

Considerations

Print considerations- stock, colours etc. Needs to meet the postal standards but at the same time being innovative and creative? Brand to work over print and web.

Concept/Proposition To rebrand the charity Adopt a Word incorporating the use of typography and letterform into the design and format of the products and brand. Develop a new brand identity for the charity Adopt a Word focusing on how the brand works over both web and print. The resolution should be the brand and the range of products stemming from this, which are to include a congratulatory publication for people that subscribe to multiple words. Further development on the brand can include the various products such as the merchandise. Mandatory Requirements On going visual investigation using the relevant blogs to document my work. Tales to Change the Word (ISTD)

Considerations

Use the text of the Waitress a tale by Jack Zipes, to create a book with the experimentation of a magazine.

Is the book one story or have multiple narratives? Is the book themed? Is it a stand-alone issue or one of many?

Concept/Proposition Create an experimental book using the text 驶The Waitress始 considering the format, nature and pacing of the book. Explore the relationship between the type and layout with potential for cross media development.
