Curriculum Vitae Professional Profile:

Served as a Member Senate of Pakistan during 2003-2008, Member National Assembly during 1997-1999 and as a Parliamentary Secretary in 1998. I possess vast expertise and experience as a legislator, constitutionalist, trainer and process adviser in varying peaceful and transitional contexts. I also served as a Senior Transition Adviser at UNDP Somali in 2011, in 2010 as a research fellow at Inter-Parliamentary Union, Geneva, Switzerland and in 2005 I was honored fellowship by the Stanford Institute for International Studies on Democracy, Development and Rule of law. In addition, I served as a Member Standing Committee on Constitution Review, Local Government, Government Assurances and Committee on Problems of Less Developed Areas. I have vast experience in designing and implementation of legislative strengthening program in Pakistan including trainings for the members of the Senate, National and Regional Assemblies on legislative procedures, committee system, representation and oversight functions. My expertise includes democratic governance, federalism, political parties, constitutionalism, legislative strengthening, conflict prevention and natural resource management. In addition, I have written extensively and delivered talks and lectures on geo-political and strategic developments in South-Asia, East Africa and Middle East.
