Why are different

The structure and the mechanical dimensions, the flush mounting fixing system, the expandability of the functions by means of optional modules. The backlit display, characterised by high visibility and information content, and a 4-button keypad for the dialogue man-machine.

What distinguishes the two products is definitely the use they are intended for: 96 HD is intended for low voltage applications, while 96 HD+ for both low and medium voltage applications. This implies some important differences, that is to say, a proper insulation class for voltage and current inputs,

Complete compatibility for optional modules: one module can be installed on any of the two models without limitation; both models can accept up to 4 modules at the same time. Same possibility of network connection (single-phase, three-phase 3 or 4 wires). Same reading of measurements and parameter programming for the two models; same direct and derived electrical quantities, same energy and time count, same data storing. The software can be updated on field.

The UPM315 is a multifunction metering device with advanced functionality features, suitable for electrical parameters measurement and power quality analysis .

The UPM315 provides hundreds of accurate True RMS metering values at low cost.

It provides peak average current and power demand information. This data is essential to work out proper strategies aimed at avoiding uncontrolled power peaks and consequent penalties.

Being ultra-compact with flexible mounting, the UPM315 is suitable for replacing conventional meters. It fits in ANSI 4” and DIN 96 cutout allowing retrofit to existing equipment.

The UPM315 offers time and cost saving on mounting, compared to many individual single-function instruments.

The recorded data allows to generate on a PC consumption profiles, logged values trends, event and alarm reporting, cost allocation and reports as well as to identify critical values.

Via communication port it is possible to read and log on a PC all the readings and download the stored data.

It provides accurate True RMS values on graphic LCD display, or via communication port. Six or more parameters displayed simultaneously give the complete situation of the electrical line at first sight. The UPM315 performs clear graphical functions such as: waveforms of voltage and current, harmonic spectrum, phasor diagrams and trends of measured values. A simple menu structure makes the instrument easy-to-use and allows a quick check of the instrument set-up and memory status. Three languages can be selected easily: English, German, Italian. The backlighted LCD display is highly efficient therefore it guarantees perfect visibility in all light conditions. The UPM315 offers small size and a variety of mounting combinations making it suitable for new installations as well as retrofit applications. The power meter fits both in 4” round and DIN96 square cutouts. The tranducer unit can be mounted on opposite side of the display, on any flat surface or onto a 35mm DIN rail.

Main Features

Total and daily energy consumption recording. The individual consumption of more than 300 days is recorded.

Time-of-Use (TOU) programmable data recording. The TOU function stores the energy consumption in different registers according the programmed time-scheme. A group of 120 registers gives the situation of the previous and current day, and of the previous and current month. This feature is designed to fit different tariff structures. It’s possible to program up to 10 daily tariff schedules containing up to 3 tariffs and 8 tariff changes. Each schedule can be assigned to the days of the week and months as requested. Up to 20 holidays can be assigned to the lowest tariff. A diagnostic algorithm checks and notifies any setup overlapping.

Event, alarm and digital outputs ON/OFF recording. The instrument records the status change of 8 programmable set points, the digital outputs ON/OFF and the instrument supply ON/OFF. All the events are integrated by date and time reference

Advanced waveform capture function. The instrument can store, after a trigger, up to 200 waveforms with a resolution from 16 to 128 samples (depending on the number of waveforms). The trigger can be programmed on a digital input or output change, on a set point crossing or the capture can be started from the keypad. The stored waweform is downloadable through the communication port.

Are displayed the voltage and current waveforms, the harmonic spectrum and the phasor diagrams. Moreover 6 measured values can be represented as a graphical trend on the display. The scale of the trend can be selected between 15 min, 1 hour, 1 day and 1 month.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS The M100 series voltage transducers are designed to measure A.C. Voltage in single and 3 phase system. They convert the A.C. Signal to a D.C. Output that is directly proportional to the input signal. The M100-VA1 VA3 are self powered (i.e. no auxiliary required) average sensing RMS calibrated voltage transducers, mA and voltage outputs are available. The M100-VL1 VL3 are average sensing RMS calibrated, live zero voltage transducers. Auxiliary is required to provide power so that 4mA output signal is present when the input is zero. The M100-VR1 is true RMS sensing RMS calibrated allowing measurement of distorted waveforms of up to 9th harmonic with a crest factor of 5. The VR1 is typically used in voltage measurement where distorted waveform is common such as thyristor drives. The above units are used to measure voltage in energy management systems, switchboards, generator and telemetery controls. Isolation of 4kV is provided between the input and output signal, allowing the ouput to be fed to conventional analogue meters, digital meters, PLC, and computer systems.

40 V d.c. use miniature circuit breakers PR 60. Source poles (+) and (-) can be connected to the circuit breaker terminals arbitrarily. 220 V d.c. or 440 V d.c., use miniature circuit breakers PR 61J or PR 62J. ANSWER FOR ANY TRIPPING APPLICATION ARTECHE offers a wide range of relays specially designed to be used in circuit breaker tripping applications.

Interface between protection and control equipments and HV and/or MV circuit breakers, eliminating risks in case of internal failure of the circuit breaker.

Trip contacts multiplication, to operate directly on the circuit breaker and transmit the corresponding alarms in a minimum time.

Trip and lock-out, with electric or hand reset to avoid accidental closing of circuit breakers associated to power transformers, generators or machines.

The surveillance of the trip circuit, guarantees it is in perfect conditions to allow the trip when it is needed.

RANGE OF PRODUCTS TRIP RELAYS Instantaneous trip relays, whose contacts change instantaneously from the rest position to the working position when the coil is energized. The contacts return to the rest position when the coil is no longer energized. This range includes relays with 2, 4 and 8 contacts, with operating times from 3 ms to 8 ms, depending on the model. All the relays include a diode in parallel with the coil (see auxiliary relays with overvoltage protection characteristic) and comply with the sock and vibration standards, related to the relays with seismic characteristics.

TRIP AND LOCKOUT RELAYS Trip relays with 2 stable positions for the output contacts. Depending on which coil is energized, the contacts will change from one position to the other. The design of the ARTECHE relays has no consumption in permanence, and prevents both coils from being energized simultaneously. This range includes relays with 3, 4 and 8 contacts, with operating times below 10 ms, depending on the model, and possibility of manual reset. The position change is made with 2 sets of coils with separated entrances, in BF-3 and BJ-8, and with breaking-flame contacts for each set of coils.

TRIP CIRCUIT SUPERVISION RELAYS For single phase or three phase circuit breakers. Through a small supervision current the whole circuit is supervised, in both positions of the circuit breaker (opened or closed). The correct state of the circuit is showed with a green LED on the front plate of the relay. The output contacts change its position if the relay detects a failure in the continuity of the circuit.

AUXILIARY SUPPLY CIRCUIT SUPERVISION RELAYS Auxiliary relay with four changeover contacts, aimed to supervise the failure of trip supply. Connecting the relay across the trip circuit supply, the equipment is normally energized. Faults will occur when the trip voltage is lost, so the relay drops off in those cases, providing the related signs and alarms.In order to avoid faulty alarms due to instantaneous supply voltage dips, the drop off time of the relay is delayed over 100 ms so those non-permanent failures of trip supply would not be considered.

HIGH / LOW BURDEN CONFIGURATION (HIGH SPEED TRIPPING RELAYS ONLY) The standard high speed tripping relays are manufactured with a low burden configuration, considering that the initiating contact is placed close to the tripping relay. However, and in order to avoid unwanted trip relay operation due to pickup or transients, particularly if the relay operating coil is connected to extensive wiring, ARTECHE tripping relays could be manufactured with a high burden configuration, complying with ESI 48-4 international standard, as EB2 class relays. These EB2 class relays are suitable for use in high security circuit breaker tripping circuits, increasing their immunity to capacitance discharge currents.

For relays with rated voltage up to and including the 125 V, the relays will withstand, without operating, a discharge into their operate circuits of a 10ÎźF capacitor charged to 120% of the higher rated voltage for the relay. For relays with rated voltage of 220 V, the relays will withstand, without operating a discharge into their operate circuits of a 10ÎźF capacitor charged to 100% of the higher rated voltage for the relay, i.e 242 V.
