Julio Sánchez Caracas - Venezuela. November 1997. Lives in Tampa, Florida. He began his career in photography during his last years of high school (2013-2014) in the Belagua Private School in Venezuela, where the following years after graduate he would work in the Audiovisual Team as director and teacher. During 2015, he carried out research and documentary photography together with the Audiovisual Belagua group, where he recorded different traditional cultural manifestations of Venezuela, among which he produced the series of Vasallos de La Candelaria, (Mérida) and Diablos Danzantes de Cuyagua (Aragua). Later it shows affinity to Street Photography, where the city of Caracas, its architecture and its people are constant protagonists. The same year he enters to the Central University of Venezuela in the carrer of Architecture and Urbanism. In 2017 he joined to the LUCA Project, Urban Laboratory of Contemporary Art, where he explores the space of the city and the urban furniture as protagonist and supports the work, using it not only as a reference and context, but as a “museographic” support for the exhibition of it, a concept that shapes a series of urban interventions with large-scale photographs called Irrupciones, then he made the exhibition of the work in the collective show of the Luca Project in March 2017 in the spaces of Chacao Cultural Center; and later, a sample and discussion at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Association of Artists AVAP Caracas. Later that year, he showed the piece Irrupciones in the group exhibition Caracas 2017 at one of the most important galleries in Caracas, Center of Art ‘‘Los Galpones’’ beside 13 other important artist of the country.
