How laser hair removal works
- A device emits beams of highly concentrated light directly into hair follicles
- The pigment, or melanin, within these follicles attracts and absorbs the light
- This kills the follicle, rendering it unable to produce more hair
- For best results, it takes between 5-6 sessions
Why invest in laser hair removal
- Precision: Lasers selectively target dark, coarse hairs, leaving the surrounding skin undamaged
- Speed: Each pulse of laser takes a fraction of a second and treats many hairs at a time.
- Predictability: You can achieve permanent hair loss after an average of 3-7 sessions
- Savings: Benefit long term as you don't need to spend on regular waxing, threading, shaving, etc.
Precautions before/after laser hair removal
- Stay out of the sun, before & after your appointment; use sunscreen
- Shave a day before the session; don't wax
- Stay indoors; avoid tanning beds, sprays & lotions
- Conduct a small test patch first to see how your skin reacts
- Avoid lasers near the eyes
