After JNU, BBC Modi Documentary

to be shown at Jamia University today at 6 pm

Amid the high voltage drama over the BBC Modi Documentary screening controversy at JNU, the documentary is all set to be screened in the Jamia University. The screening will be conducted today at 6 pm.

The power connection to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus was abruptly cut down minutes before the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Modi, said several students taking to Twitter Tuesday night. The students also claimed that the stones were hurled at them on the campus, and a complaint to the police has been made in this regard.

As per reports, the internet connection to the offices of student union leaders was also disrupted. The JNU students protested outside a police station in Vasant Kunj after they marched there, claiming stones were pelted during the screening of a banned BBC documentary on PM Modi. “We filed a complaint, and police assured us they’ll be immediately looking into the incident. We gave the name & details of all the persons involved.

“Later on, China forces us to accept the fact that as such areas have not seen the presence of ISFs or civilians since long, the Chinese were present in these areas. This leads to a shift in the border under control of ISFs towards Indian side and a “buffer zone” is created in all such pockets which ultimately leads to loss of control over these areas by India. This tactic of PLA (China’s People’s Liberation Army) to grab land inchby-inch is known as ‘Salami slicing’,” it said.

“PLA has taken advantage of the buffer areas in the deescalation talks by placing their best of cameras on the highest peaks and monitoring the movement of our forces... they object our movement even in the buffer zone, claiming it to be ‘their’ area of operation and then further ask us to move back to create more ‘buffer’ areas,” the officer wrote.
