Performing Cities
“Architecture is not simply about Space and Form, but also about Event, Action, and what happens in Space.
[Bernard Tschumi]
Architecture in its Contemporary Environment, is heading towards Performative art, with the Surroundings act as a Stage in which the Building is allowed to Perform and Create a Scene. Every detail in the building should be taken into consideration in the show, a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan, with the Human Roles, Reactions, and the Intertwinement of our Senses. This way of thinking and approach develops Ordinary Human activities into Public Spectacle.

Adaptive Reuse of Jifna’s Historic Center Definition Adaptive reuse refers to the
process ofreusing an old site or building for a purpose other than which it was built or designed for.
The
concept of a historic monument embraces
not only the single architectural work but also the urban or rural setting in which is found the
evidence of a particular civilization, a significant development or a historic event.
This applies not
only to great works of art but also to more modest works of the past which have acquired cultura significance with the passing of time.
Theory “What
role should abandoned archi-
tecture play in the reinvestment and rebuilding of today’s decaying urban centers?
Should
current state as monuments to the past?
Would
these pieces of architecture be preserved in their demolishing them and starting with a clean slate allow the city to move on and rewrite its own history?”
