SSF

General information SUPERSOLDER FLUX is a liquid that connects solder aluminium with SUPERSOLDER at low temperature. Due to

its low melting temperature, SUPERSOLDER is easy to use and it will not deform the base material.

Technical information and packaging Appearance (at 20°C): liquid. Odour: characteristic. Colour: variable in colour, depending on the composition. Boiling point/boiling range: 134°C. Flashpoint: 135°C.

Explosion limits: 1.6-10 vol% (°C). Relative density (at 20°C): 1.2. Water solubility: soluble. Relative vapour density: > 2. Auto-ignition point: 305°C.

Applications and use • Warm up the piece of aluminium evenly with a welding torch or a hot air gun. Make sure that the piece stays at temperature, either by insulating it maximally between the jaws of a bench-vise, or by placing it on fireproof bricks. Larger pieces have to be insulated by means of a heat-proof paste. • When sufficient temperature has been obtained, the flux can be applied on the surface of the build-up or a joint to be made. The flux will start boiling and will flow at that moment. • Keep on warming up the piece evenly and avoid direct contact between the source of heat and the flux.

• Dip the Supersolder wire in the flux and bring it in contact with the piece of aluminium or the joint. Always avoid direct contact with the source of heat. When the required temperature has been obtained, SUPERSOLDER will melt and adhere to the piece of aluminium with excellent cappillarity. When necessary, add some extra flux from time to time. • When the repair, the build-up or the joint is ready, let the piece cool off for about 30 seconds without moving it, so that SUPERSOLDER can solidify. • Rinse the piece with water and remove all remainders of the flux with a metal brush.

Thermoflux MPM THICK-WALLED SHRINKABLE TUBING FOR INSULATING, SEALING AND PROTECTING • Consists of two layers. • Outside layer shrinks - inside melts and seals making it perfectly waterproof. • Excellent bonding and sealing characteristics. • Moulds to most irregular shapes. • Easy to apply with gas torch or hot air gun. • Excellent resistance to chemicals, acids and alkalines. • Flame retardant - resists UV-light.

MPM

General information THERMOFLUX MPM is a semi-flexible, heat shrinkable tubing with an integrally bonded meltable sealer inner lining designed to provide permanent moisture-proof encapsulation for a wide range of applications. The inner wall melts when heated and is forced into interstices by the shrinking of the outer wall,

Thermoflux Multicolour UNIQUE MULTICOLOUR HEAT SHRINKABLE INSULATION • Consists of two layers. • Outside layer shrinks - inside layer of adhesive melts. • Makes strong and waterproof connections. • Excellent corrosion, water, chemical and UV resistance. • High shrink ratio: 4 to 1. • Flame retardant. • 3 diameters cover a wide range of applications. • Available in 4 different colours: red, green, blue, white. • May be marked with rubber stamp or marker prior to shrinking. When heating, ink becomes permanent. • Fast, simple and safe to use.

MTC

General information THERMOFLUX MULTICOLOUR is a flexible, heat shrinkable tubing with an integrally bonded meltable adhesive inner lining, designed to provide permanent moisture proof encapsulation to a wide variety of substrates and uses; such as electrical wires, cable jackets, wire breakouts and electrical components. It has a unique inner wall, which melts when heated and is forced into the crevices and penetrates by the shrinking action of the outer wall. When cooled the

entire mass becomes a flexible, tough homogeneous covering with a controlled wall thickness. This product is manufractured from radiation cross-linked polyolefins. It has a specially formulated adhesive inner wall. THERMOFLUX MULTICOLOUR shrinks to 1/4 of its supplied diameter and thus only three sizes are required to cover a full range of irregular shapes with widely varying applications.

Technical information and packaging Operating temperature: -55 + 150°C. Shrink temperature: 125°C. Shrink ratio: 4/1. Treksterkte ISO 37: 11.5 MPa. Ultimate elongation ISO 37: 490%. Flexibility: flexible. Dielectric strength I EC 243: 30 MV/m (VDE 0303 P12). Flame retardancy ASTM D 876 - ASTM D 2671: Inner wall: no.

Outer wall: yes, no dripping, cracking or flowing of outer wall. Fluid resistance ISO 18117 and ISO 37 immersion 24h at 23°C: hydraulic fluid: excellent; aviation fuel F40: good; lubrication oil 0-149: good; Diesel fuel F54: good. Electrical resistance: 1016Ohm.
