Anti-Drug Campaigns 'Can Raise Drugs Risk'
The report found: "International evidence suggests many popular types of prevention activity are ineffective at changing behaviour, and a small number may even increase the risks for drug use." It added that there was "little clear evidence of what works in drug prevention".
AMSTERDAM
Professor Les Iversen, who chairs the ACMD, said: "This research demonstrates that there is more to be done in order to understand the complex network of substance abuse prevention programmes operating in the United Kingdom.” It comes after Nick Clegg announced Liberal Democrat proposals that would mean those caught with small amounts of drugs would not face criminal prosecution and doctors would be able to prescribe cannabis for medical use.

Mr Clegg said: "The victims need to be treated with compassion, with treatment and all the best expertise that clinical excellence can deliver to wean them off their habit.” A Home Office spokesman said: "Preventing and reducing drug misuse is a key part of our drug strategy and there are positive signs our approach is working.
Anti-drugs campaigns have "little impact" and can actually increase the chance of people taking drugs, a report to Home Secretary Theresa May has found. Publicity campaigns, drug awareness sessions in schools and media campaigns did not help to prevent young people from taking illegal substances, the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs found.
"There has been a long term downward trend in drug use over the last decade, the number of heroin and crack cocaine users in England continues to decline, and more people are recovering from their dependency now than in 2009-10. "Our evidence-based approach recognises the importance of having a range of prevention initiatives to give individuals the confidence to resist drugs."

Good night, and good luck!
It seems like a long time ago when I saw the advert in Soft Secrets asking for new writers. Back then I was a keen gardener, having already worked in the industry for a few years, and any areas where I lacked experience, I like to think I compensated with enthusiasm! So, after a few late nights at the keyboard, I decided to take the plunge and sent in a couple of articles based on what I knew at the time… namely, hobby hydroponics. I never expected that, half a decade later; I’d have written over 150,000 words for a publication that I loved! After a few articles I began to realise how much I enjoyed writing about my hobby (and, to an even greater extent, the industry that I worked in). I’ve been lucky enough to travel across Europe and the US to experience how other cultures view our favourite plant. Attended trade shows across Europe, smoked a doob (nervously) in Moscow, bought medical bud in Colorado. It’s been great to visit new places, meet new people, learn new growing techniques and then write about them. Learning new techniques is something that was essential to my continued writing for Soft Secrets, I had to, there’s only so many articles you can put together about growing in hydro and I didn’t want to stop writing! So I knuckled down and learnt. Need an article about Reverse Osmosis? No problem. I’d borrow one from a friend in a hydro shop and play with it for a few months. Want 2000 words on AutoFlowers? Perfect. I’d interview some seed banks at the trade shows and then germinate a few with my grower friends.
This variety originally was developed in the mountains of Oregon in the United States, later spread throughout North America, including Canada, where she was heavily cultivated, selected, developed and improved.

Blue Fruit
She has a sweet fruity flavor, ranging from pure fruity odor to the mixture of intense fruit with dominance of the locust Mountain Afghani indica. Also, this variety produces more "bananas" (occasional male flowers on top of their clusters) than most famous cannabis seeds. This is justified by the special quality, color, resin, aroma and flavor of this little gem. To avoid the formation of "bananas" keep the temperature cool and the humidity to 50%, and don’t cook the tips of the plants with your lamps. Better give less light, as not to stress her so much.
Writing articles really affected my gardening in a positive way. A disappointing result at harvest time was transformed from a downer to a learning experience. What went wrong? What could I tweak and fine tune? Equipment failure stopped being a ball ache and became an opportunity to buy (or blag!) some cool new stuff; try a new light, play with a new hydro system, run a new nutrient or additive to see what it did. Looking back at my time at Soft Secrets, I think the biggest lesson that I’ve learnt is this… quality counts. From your plant stock, to your growing equipment, to your drying and curing process; it’s always worth remembering why you started growing in the first place, because you wanted quality. Don’t cut corners. There’s a big difference between starting a hobby in an affordable way on a modest budget versus just buying cheap shit. You only get out what you put in and I think that the UK hydro industry – especially manufacturers and retailers – have a responsibility to raise the bar where quality is concerned. Are we really attracting new growers to the market with all this cheap equipment? As for the future, we’re in for an interesting few years; the tolerance and understanding of Cannabis amongst the UK public is increasing. I do believe that we are heading in the same direction as the US, albeit in a far more controlled and British way! Just remember that no UK government will push legislation forward, it’s up to you. Get out there, arm yourself with knowledge. Join your local Cannabis Social Club. Support CLEAR and NORML UK. Keep reading Soft Secrets! One final word before checking out, a big thanks to Cliff (our editor) for giving me such great opportunities over the last few years, gently steering me in the right direction when I waffle too much shit. Thanks mate. So… for one last time… happy growing! All the best. Little Lebowski

Dutch Passion wins ȴUVW SULFH DW &DQQDELV Champions Cup Dutch Passion seed company, from Amsterdam won 1st Prize in the 10th Champions Cup, held at the 2015 Spannabis event in Barcelona. The award was given for their potent new Skunk selection called The Edge, an easy-togrow variety chosen for consistently producing 20%+ THC levels under a wide range of growing conditions. The Edge won 1st Prize in the Outdoor category, an award based on strength, taste and a top-quality
overall ‘smoking experience’. The variety is a traditional feminized photoperiod Skunk variety bred primarily for indoor growing, but can also be grown in greenhouses/outdoors in reasonable (Southern/Central European) climates. The Edge is sativa dominant, and has an old-school shiva aroma. The sativa content in The Edge allows for slightly longer inter-nodal distances than normal, helping to contribute to the heavy yields. The Edge takes 8-9 weeks to flower indoors. Outdoors she finishes in mid/late September in the Northern Hemisphere. www.dutch-passion.nl
PRESS RELEASE
Daya Foundation Celebrates Bumper Harvest in South America's First Medical Grow It's harvest time in South America as March and April signifies Autumn in the southern hemisphere. The Daya Foundation, a non-profit organisation based in Chile is celebrating a larger than expected crop from South America's first medical marijuana grow. Daya Foundation gardeners estimate that the 400 plants they have grown for the Municipality of La Florida (a suburb of the capital, Santiago) will yield approximately 120 kilos of dried bud. In the coming days, the bud will be transported, under police escort, to a laboratory, where scientists will begin to extract cannabis oil for use by medical patients. The Daya Foundation made international news when it launched the ambitious programme in September. The seeds were provided by Dutch company Paradise Seeds, which became the first company to receive a Government license to export seeds to Chile. It has been a dramatic few months for the Daya Foundation, which campaigned hard for the rights of medical patients to have access to a cannabis based treatment. The extract from their first harvest will be used to treat 200 cancer patients in La Florida Municipality. The Daya Foundation is already planning ahead for the next plant-
ing season (September) and intends to buy a new plot of land away from the city to benefit from cleaner air and more environmental control (through the use of greenhouses). It has ambitious plans for expansion and has discussed with 15 Municipalities the possibility of providing cannabis oil for medical patients in their districts. Daya cofounder, Nicola Dormal, says, "We hope the next stage will involve 20 Municipalities which will fund their share of the grow. This way we can increase production and bring costs down. With 20 Municipalities involved, we would hope to produce enough cannabis oil to treat 4000 patients next year." The Daya Foundation grow almost didn't happen at all. The organisation could not find a seed company willing to provide seeds (due to Chile's import restrictions), until they contacted Luc Krol from Paradise Seeds. He worked with Daya to make the project happen and eventually Daya gained a special Government license, allowing the import of 400 seeds including Paradise Seeds varieties, Wappa, Durga Mata and Ice Cream. Paradise Seeds founder, Luc Krol, commented."We are proud to be involved with the Daya Foundation grow. They are following a medical cannabis path that is innovative, community minded and potentially a blueprint for other countries to follow." info@paradise-seeds.com

BACKGROUND
A LEGAL PARODY OF REALITY What the fuck is going on? Life on the streets of the UK has morphed into a bizarre parody of reality. It seems like almost every day some new state or nation around the world is opening its arms to the kaleidoscopic revolutionary potential of cannabis, yet here in the UK we have just elected a government who would rather we all smashed ourselves up with unpronounceable 'research chemicals' instead. 'Legals' have been getting a lot of bad press recently, and rightly so. Its easy to throw stones at the individuals profiting from their production and sale, but to do so without acknowledging the wider sociopolitical context is worthless. The exploration of consciousness is a fundamental part of conscious existence. Most animals take time out to get high, and all but the most oppressed cultures in history have sought to transcend the brutal here and now of everyday existence by altering or enhancing their consciousness, whether it be through drums, dance, song, meditation and/ or using the power plants available to them. When traditional ways of doing this are prohibited by an external authority then authority-fearing individuals will always look for other, non-prohibited ways of tweaking their brain chemistry. So here we are, forty four years of life under the Misuse of Drugs Act and the subjects of Cruel Britannia are getting twatted on gear with names like N-(adamantan-1yl)-1-(5-fluorobutyl)-1H-indazole-3-carboxamide quinolin-8-yl-1-pentyl-1h-indole-3-carboxilate. Consider that hardly a good word has ever been written about legals and you have to wonder why people take them in the first place. Most users fall into one of three groups: those with nothing to do but blast time away, the bored and desperate; then there are those who like to party and lead regular lives but would lose their jobs if they tested positive for regular drugs; and, finally, the old skool addicts, those living with hardcore, life-long addictions...
“I only smoke this stuff cos I get so bored and lonely – I'm a single mum, I can't be going out all the time or having people around in the evenings, smoking this shit gives me a break from wanting to kill myself.” “This shit is fucking crazy! It fucks me right up, one joint and I was bang out for eleven hours straight! Weed doesn't even touch the sides any more.” Most people in this first group have fallen through our Big Society's shredded safety net, people who just want to block out all the pain that life on this God forsaken island has dealt them. No money, no education, confidence, job, purpose, motivation or hope? Fuck it, may as well get munted. The schools of the New World Order are churning out lost souls by the million, year after year, and the brutal roller coaster of poverty in the UK is just cranking into gear. Scream for speed.
“I used to love getting wrecked – pills, coke, acid, weed, shrooms, K, all of it. I'd lose my job if I took any of that shit now though. Fuck it, it's a crazy world. Research chemicals it is!” “Care work is stressful, I used to love a spliff in the evening after work but I'd lose my job if I smoke
The Professor
weed now and I can't drink, I hate booze, so I smoke this stuff.” Programmers, engineers, call centre employees, airline pilots, oil rig workers, managers in multinational corporations, sportsmen, taxi drivers, builders; if the job is drug tested then legals are on the menu. For the third group, the old skool hardcore living with entrenched addictions, having a place where they can pick up their fix along with a newspaper and a pint of milk can be a life changer:
“This is fucking brilliant, its a lot cleaner than the street gear and I don't have to hang around with a load of junkies just to keep my wheels on the road, if you know what I mean.” But not always in a good way:
“That shit's fucking strong man, I just got out after six weeks for assaulting a cop. I tried to bite his eye out.” “Gimme half a bag man, go on, half a bag, anything, come on man, whaddya want? I ain't got nothing, nothing man, come on I'll suck yer dick man, I'll suck your fucking dick.” On a high street near you, right now. Criminalizing 'legals' should be easy for any government, but what are people going to do then if traditional drugs are still prohibited? Start buying ingredients from the DIY store, petrol station and chemist and get busy with recipes they found on the internet? You know it. Meth, krokodil or jenkum anyone? That's where this country is headed if those unconscionable suits in Westmonster don't do something soon. Hordes of desperate, frenzied and chemically lobotomised zombies will run the emergency services into the ground and then devour everything in the country that can be smoked, snorted, injected or stuck up their arse, including Mr Cameron and his new cabinet. It has to make you wonder: why do our national laws forbid the use of natural, healing and enlightening entheogens such as cannabis, magic mushrooms and cacti but encourage us to consume vast quantities of alcohol, junk food and obscure chemicals? Sickness and stupidity beckon the nation. When we look west we see states across the US racing to relegalize cannabis, we look east to Amsterdam, we look south, towards Spain, and north, to Freetown Christiana in Denmark. All around us people are smoking cannabis recreationally and legally. Spanish Cannabis Associations are essentially private smoking clubs. As a member you get a choice of different forms and varieties of cannabis and a suitable environment in which to consume it. Membership is controlled and limited and associations are permitted to grow a specific number of plants per member. Production is regulated, books are kept and tax is paid. It is very civilized. The Irish put a new set of drug laws together and got them implemented in 48 hours. It can be done that quickly.

AUTOFLOWERING – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW… AND HOW TO GROW The trick with autoflowering cannabis plants is to appreciate them for what they are… and not criticize them for what they are not! Autoflowers are cannabis plants that have been specifically bred to flower based on their age rather than darkness/light ratio. This makes them ideally suited for growing outdoors in the northern hemisphere. Amsterdam based PARADISE SEEDS gives a how to guide to getting the most out of the auto. Paradise Seeds
Autoflower - The Background
The basis of the autoflower is the genetics of a curious hemp plant, cannabis ruderalis, that thrives in regions above 50 degrees north of the equator – from Poland, through central Russia and China. Because of the inhospitable climate, this amazing plant has evolved to be small and bushy and develop a flowering cycle that is adapted to long days of light in the northern hemisphere summer. For many years, its potential was dismissed because of its low THC content, but with advances in breeding techniques it became possible to cross the ruderalis with more potent genetics. This has produced a new generation of autoflowering cannabis plants that offer an increased THC content and yield offering a viable solution for growers. Now, back to that appreciation!... While they are not for everybody, autoflowers are ideal for: ȩ %HJLQQHUV ȟ 7KH UXGHUDOLV JHQHV PDNHV these plants more resistant to disease and mould. ȩ 6SHHG ȟ 7KH\ JURZ IDVW DQG IORZHU TXLFN ,GHDO IRU WKH LPSDWLHQW JURZHU ȩ 4XDOLW\ ȟ :LWK WKH NLQG RI JRRG JHQHWLFV 3DUDGLVH 6HHGV SURYLGHV H[SHFW D good smoke. ȩ 6HOI 6XIILFLHQF\ ȟ ,GHDO LI \RX DUH PRUH LQWHUHVWHG LQ D SHUVRQDO WKDQ commercial crop. ȩ 6SDFH 5HVWULFWLRQ ȟ 7KHLU VL]H PDNHV WKHP SHUIHFW IRU VPDOO JDUGHQV DQG balconies. ȩ 1RVH\ 1HLJKERUV ȟ 7KHLU VL]H DOVR PDNHV WKHP HDV\ WR FDPRXIODJH ȩ 1RUWKHUQ 6XPPHUV ȟ /HWȢV IDFH LW EHIRUH DXWRIORZHUV JURZLQJ LQ WKH northern hemisphere. was a real drag. Rejoice! Autoflowers have brought us northerners a weed to call our own! At Paradise Seeds we were one of the first companies to bring autoflowering strains to the market and we have been working on ways to improve quality and yield with each new generation. With flowering times of 60-75 days inside and 65 to 80 days outside, we have plants to cater for all tastes! From sweet sativas like our Auto Jack (Jack Herer/White Widow cross) and Auto Acid (a paradise take on the Diesel strain) to the compact Indica power of Pandora (in the tradition of Afghan and Sensi Star) and Auto White Berry (fast from start to finish) and the medical qualities of vertigo (resinous and ready in 60 days), there is an auto in our collection with your name on it! To make the most of your Paradise Seeds auto flowering varieties, we have prepared a 10 step program designed to help you optimize your growth and achieve the best from your harvests. Read on, learn, enjoy!
1: Planting Your Autoflowers – Get the Timing Right
The beauty of autoflowering cannabis plants is that they will begin to flower after 2-3 weeks and will be ready for harvesting after 10 to 12 weeks. This
means that the outdoor gardener has the potential for two, or even three, crops in the course of one year. As every gardener will tell you, getting your timing right is very important. Our basic guideline is: ȩ 3ODQW RXWVLGH EHWZHHQ 0D\ VW DQG July 1st ȩ +DUYHVW RXWVLGH IURP WKH HQG RI -XO\ to the end of September We recommend germinating your seeds at the beginning of May and planting them outside in the middle of the month (May 15th). This coincides with WKH FKDQJH WR ȡODWH VSULQJȢ FDOOHG IJsheiligen in Holland) – traditionally noted by gardeners as the date when night frosts have passed. If you plant too early, your harvests are likely to be premature and smaller. By following our guidelines, your autoflowering plants will benefit from as much natural light as possible.
2: Give Your Autoflowers a Good Start in Life
When your Paradise Seeds package of cannabis seeds arrives, make sure you store them right. Yes, they are sealed, but like any seed they do not like fluctuations in temperature or high humidity. Ideally, store them in a fridge or a cool drawer or cupboard. When you are ready to germinate follow our advice and tips for best results (using soil and hydroponic systems) which can be found on our website.
3: Provide Your Autoflowers with Good Hygrometric Conditions
We recommend that you plant your cannabis seed into the pot it will spend the rest of its life in. We suggest using a 4-10 litre pot. Fill it with good quality soil. Because the mineral content of this soil will burn your root if exposed too early, make a small hole (1 knuckle deep) and fill with seed/seedling soil . Place your seed in this and cover with a plastic dome to create a micro climate that encourages the seed to grow. The simplest solution is to cut a plastic bottle in half. Use the half with the lid. Remove the lid and place the dome over the seed. This is ideal for letting the seed grow in the first few days, inside or outside. Once the first leaves are showing, remove it.
4 Provide Autoflowers with the Best Growing Medium Possible
No way to cut corners here! Your harvest is directly linked to the quality of genetics, grow medium, and environmental conditions and, to a lesser degree, the quality of nutrients. Your growing medium should be airy to ensure good drainage as well as water retention. The ideal PH should be between 5.8 – 6.5. There are many good quality soils available from nurseries , plant and growshops. There is little to choose between them, although organic is recommended – remember, what you are planting in you are taking out of! You can also search the web for soil recipes. You can also add elements such as coco, clay pellets or perlite to increase the airiness of the soil and give those roots some space to grow.
5: Watering Your Autoflowers: Less is More
One of the most damaging things you can do to your plant is over watering. The roots will become suffocated and will be unable to draw nutrients to the plant. A common mistake a beginner makes is to over water. If a cannabis plant is over watered then its growth will be stunted. Often a beginner will take this as a sign that the plant is not growing… and give it more water and nutrients (which is a bit like holding a drowning man under the water some more!) One solution is to weigh your plant with its pot dry (after repotting for example), then add 5
13 to 10 percent weight in water to give you a reference. Some soft pot manufacturers suggest watering the plants with 20% of the volume of the pot (for example, an 11 litre pot needs 2.2 litres every watering). If you do not trust your watering technique, perhaps research systems that self-water or monitor the humidity in the soil (such as Autopot or Blumat). Note: It is important that your roots have period of relative dryness, before getting a new watering – the tap root will follow the water level down and spread its roots as a result.
6: Feeding Your Autoflowers: A Light Snack, Not a Heavy Meal
An autoflowering cannabis seed will produce a plant that is smaller and more compact. As a result the roots are lighter and more fragile than those found on WKHLU UHJXODU RU IHPLQL]HG FRXVLQV )RU WKLV UHDVRQ GRQȢW RYHUIHHG In a lively aerated medium (a soil with trichoderma, bacteria, and compost containing humic and fulvic DFLGV WKH SODQWV VKRXOGQȢW QHHG DQ\ QXWULHQWV IRU DW OHDVW WR ZHHNV You may want to enhance root production in the early days and there are plenty of booster products on the market to do this. You should follow instructions on the packet carefully. If you have a garden, a compost brew juice, aerated for 24 hours, will give your plants a good boost, while spraying them with neem oil will always be beneficial to the plant.
7: Pinching and Scrogging Your Autoflowers – To Do or Not To Do?
You may have heard of these terms which are often used to encourage growth and increase yield. ȩ 3LQFKLQJ ȟ 7KLV SURFHVV RI SUXQLQJ HQFRXUDJHV EXVK\ JURZWK <RX pinch a plant to remove the main stem, so that it will grow two new stems below the pinch. ȩ 6FURJJLQJ ȟ 7KLV SURFHVV WUDLQV \RXU SODQWV WR JURZ WKURXJK D ZLUH screen. The tops rise 3-4 inches above the screen and the rest of the plant is encouraged to bush out below it. It is debatable about whether these techniques will make a significant difference to the yields of your cannabis plants due to the short lifecycle of an autoflowering plant. Beginners should avoid these techniques and just let the plant follow its own way. However, if you do want to pursue this route you should avoid pinching and scrogging too late into the flowering stage, and avoid altogether with early flowering plants or those that had a slow start to their growth. For plants that have longer flowering time it is always possible to pinch, using the Low Stress Training (LST). Because the autoflowers have a limited lifespan they will recover badly from conditions that are overly stressful.
8: Harvest Your Autoflowers Sequentially… and Wait a Little Longer if Needed
One thing you will notice with autoflowers is that the main tops become ready for harvest before the lower branches. Often the top buds will look like the picture on the packet, while the trichomes on the lower buds will have only just started to turn. This is normal! At this point in the grow, monitor your plants carefully if you are growing outdoors, as environmental factors can come into effect – from heat and cold damage to the growing of mould.
If possible, harvest the top buds and wait another 6-10 days for the buds on the lower branches to reach their full potential. Waiting this little bit longer will result in added weight, quality and potency. $ERYH DOO EH SDWLHQW 'RQȢW EH WRR KDVW\ WR KDUYHVW A rule of thumb is that autos take an extra week of flowering outdoors and the harvest times given on the seed packets are a guideline but not the gospel. There are many different factors that will affect the growing of your plants – nature is a wonderful but unpredictable thing... For example a first spring grow will lengthen the plant maturation because the sun hours are still increasing and the plant will feel it. If you plant after the solstice you will notice a shorter flowering time by a week or two. With autoflowering varieties you can expect a first harvest of good buds in the middle of summer and up to 3 harvests a year in a greenhouse at 50° latitude North.
9: Grow Organic and Improve the Quality of Your Harvest.
Organic growing promotes microlife (bacteria and trichoderma) that stimulates the digestion process, and makes natural nutrients available to the plant. This will mean the plant will encounter less risk of over fertilization, and the final product will burn a lot smoother than if overdosed with mineral nutrients. A good week of flushing with PH stabilized water, enzymes or a diluted compost juice will aid this process even more. By combining a good premixed soil with organic nutrients containing extracts of seaweed, guano, molasses, cane sugar extracts, coconut juice, worm compost, your plant has the best life it can get – from start to finish – and you will notice the results.
10: Get Organized with Your Next Autoflower Grow
Autoflowering cannabis plants allow you to harvest at least twice outdoors at 50° North (including parts of the US, Canada, Japan, Belgium, France, Germany, Czech Republic). If we return to our basic guidelines, you will see that with a little bit of planning you can stagger the sowing of your cannabis seeds to produce more harvests: ȩ Plant outside between May 1st and July 1st ȩ +DUYHVW RXWVLGH IURP WKH HQG RI -XO\ WR WKH HQG RI 6HSWHPEHU With a greenhouse it is even possible to get a fourth harvest – the extra protection allowing the planting of seeds in August and a harvest in late October/early November before the winter frosts come. For those living in the south of Europe – parts of France, Spain and Italy, there is even the possibility for a fourth harvest!... Of course, harvesting later in the year brings its own problems – notably mould – but a well ventilated greenhouse should help. We hope these tips have been useful. Please do check our website for more tips and information on what seeds suit your circumstances. Paradise Seeds wishes you a most excellent grow and a bountiful harvest!

SEED BANKS
FROM THE UNDERGROUND TO THE WORLD
Dr. Underground
mended for experts, although even a beginner may perfectly get along with some decent care. What major satisfactions are you getting from your Dr Underground business? Working with what we like most, can-
Dr Underground is a seed bank founded in 2008. Their philosophy is to create new crossbreeds as well as to recover long-forgotten strains. For this reason, focus is put in the following interview on the most appreciated strains as well as the old glories they are planning to put back on the market in the next few months. They also discuss the underlying reasons for their international commercial success. Soft Secrets: What are the origins of DR Underground? DR Underground: Our origins go back to several years ago, but it was only in 2007 that we embarked on a proper project. At that time we were only a couple of friends with lots of enthusiasm and ideas and we were willing to work and make money. Little by little we achieved our goals and we are now moving ahead with our project. How did you choose this name? The name is something complex to explain, it was something like a revelation. No doubt, my attention was always called to a few seed banks active on the market such as Dr. Atomic or Dr. Greenthumb. All we did was add “Dr.” to the term “underground”, “underground” being a clear reference to the way we started this business, i.e. in hiding, at underground level… since laws have never been in favour of our sector. How do you select your parent plants? Selection is normally made in house starting from the original seeds of other banks, landraces or other selections made by friends. In certain cases, such as when we use Critical + Bilbo, it is clear that it is not our own selection, but one made in Bilbo – Spain. What we do is combine it with our exclusive Destroyer parent to create the famous Crystal METH. To do so, if we want to have a good parent that ultimately produces good seeds, we need to focus not only on the fathers but also, and more importantly, on the offspring. Tell us about your genetic library. The truth is we have a good library. What we are a bit concerned about is that it continues to grow little by little, and each time we are attracted by additional lines that we would like to work on. Unfortunately, both space and time are limited. We now
about genes controlling everything. If you have a good parent, it’s not given for granted that you will obtain good descendants, and testing the descendants is a must.
have varieties that meet all tastes; if you are more into a sweet taste you will have no problem whatsoever, as you can choose between Melon Gum or Brooklyn Mango. Fans of sativas would rather opt for Crystal METH. In the auto-flowering line, we offer Auto Melon Gum and now, in 2015, Auto King Kong too. Aside from our offered strains and their parents, we added a few lines meant for future development. In addition to this we rely on a large portfolio of seeds, which are hard to find nowadays, as well as of landraces that need a great deal of work before you can actually produce
something. Ideally, we would love to work on all of them but, as I said before, space and time are limited, as limited as humans are… What is your philosophy for making a cross? Parents are indeed important, but descendants are more important than parents. I am saying this because most of the time someone makes a cross between two parents which theoretically should generate a specific type of offspring, but we come across something unexpected, it’s all
What is your contribution to the current breeding scene? Nowadays it is difficult to contribute something really “innovative”, we contribute our work and, to that end, we use the best starting materials. We are also very interested in – to put it shortly and without too much eloquence – ‘revamping’ a few strains, as was the case for Pink Kush. Plushberry is forthcoming and, in the future, we will try to impress you again because, as I said, we never stop working and trying out either completely new combinations or long-forgotten glories of the past.
nabis, is our best reward. We feel very lucky that we can devote ourselves to it in our lives, it is a much better reward than sales themselves. Are you introducing any new products this year? This year we will be releasing Auto King Kong. After the success of the automatic version of Melon Gum, our customers asked and urged us to introduce an auto version of King Kong, and this year it will be on sale. Kong 47, this plant is an ode to high yields and speed. It was created in the simplest possible way, we thought we could create it from our special King Kong “brutal cut” crossed with a high-
What genetics would you advise for novice growers? We generally propose King Kong, but sometimes its buds are very tightly clustered and can easily be affected by botrytis (grey mould) if humidity is not controlled at least minimally. Brooklyn Mango, on the other hand, is significantly gaining ground as a rapid growing, powerful and highyielding plant with looser buds more exposed to the air. For this very reason, this plant is mould resistant and its structure more branched.
yielding and quick Ak-47. The result was so good that we were virtually forced to continue working and it will be on sale this year too. The end of 2015 will see the first test versions of our revamped Plushberry, which for sure will officially be presented in 2016.
What other genetics could you advise for experts? U- Pink Kush indeed. This plant is great both visually and effectwise, but also a bit complex to grow. This type of pink-coloured Kush has a slow vegetative growth. We advise moisturising seeds in water with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (oxygenated water) until they open. When the root forms, transfer it to the germination sponge. This method is a key to success. It is a plant that does not need much fertilisation to grow rich with resin. No doubt it is a prodigy of nature. For this reason it is recom-
To top up our interview, would you like to add something? All I wanted to say is that we thank everyone for their help, I mean our customers as well as shops, magazines and others. It’s through their help that our bank can be more easily found now all around the globe. We thank your magazine for giving us some coverage with this wonderful interview, a true encouragement, for cannabis-related people like us to continue our struggle, a struggle we are winning little by little. The final victory is neither far nor close, that is why we need to continue.

Over the past week or so, I’ve been sent some interesting news coverage concerning medical marijuana. There is the usual array of stories run in local or small circulation papers, but there are also two big (as in really big) players putting their oars into the debate. “The highly divisive, curiously underfunded and strangely promising world of Pot Science”, is the front page story run by Time Magazine, not exactly known for their “out there” ideas, given their propagation of the “reefer madness” myths in the past. National Geographic magazine have also run a feature on medical marijuana, “Science seeks to unlock marijuana’s secrets”. Of the two stories, I liked the National Geographic one best (check it out), as the writer interviewed a range of different people and movers and shakers. The thing about this article that got my attention is the fact that all of the interviewees seem to be interested in the common good as opposed to lining their own pockets (more of which in a minute).

At last! This is excellent, isn’t it? Well, isn’t it? I’m finding myself increasingly in two minds about the whole thing, to be honest with you all. Don’t get me wrong; yes, it’s great that cannabis science finally looks as though it’s coming into the mainstream. Cures proposed for this and that: all good. The non-medical use of cannabis becoming legally acceptable in a number of places: also all good, as I suspect there will be a range of very positive public health effects stemming from this (a dramatic reduction in the consumption of dodgy synthetic cannabis, for one thing). But...and of course, there is a “but”...it’s all the stuff that comes along with this that bothers me. Fair enough, the Time and National Geographic front page headlines are optimistic and full of “wow” type promise, but if you look a little harder, you find a lot of other stuff, such as: “Investors rushing to marijuana...” “Investment dollars are flowing into the cannabis industry...” We’ve got Cannabis Business Expositions and all the rest of it (usually with an entry fee of a few hundred dollars attached), hosted by well educated young things with Hollywood smiles, wearing sharp suits. City types, marketing and advertising types. These are not dope idealists by any means. These are the “bottom line” profit margin people of the “Sell more! Increase our market share! MAKE MORE MONEY!” mindset, and that’s what bothers me. A lot. Maybe it’s me who is being pie in the sky about all of this, but it just seems (or rather, it feels) plain wrong to me that cannabis is basically just becoming another commodity to be bought and sold on the stock market, like coffee, sugar or oil. It’s just not supposed to be like this. Weed used to have a sort of outlaw "edginess" that's gone now (actually, this really went when the big cartels moved in, but that's another story). I always imagined that legal cannabis would involve a whole lot of community based enterprises and initiatives, cooperatives, if you like. Or, failing that, run by the government, regulated properly and taxed properly; big business would be politely but firmly excluded. Looks like I was way off the mark on that one. Rather than being young and idealistic, maybe I'm just old and idealistic. Perhaps I need to wise up to the fact that these are different times and that really, cannabis is just a commodity to be bought and sold along with everything else after all. It just seems to me a real pity. http://www.forbes.com/sites/caroltice/2015/01/23/10-cannabis-startups-thathave-raised-over-1-million-besides-privateer/ http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2015/06/marijuana/sides-text

GROW WITH GOLGI
White Widow automatic from Dinafem is quickly becoming a legend in it's own right. The white varieties leave great trim waste, which can be used for making hash.
Outdoor AutoFlower Rotation Autoflowers are designed to grow and bloom under constant lighting conditions. The consistency of the long summer sun makes them ideal for outdoor grows. They give us the ability to have vegetative plants growing next to your flowering monster colas; one light, full cycle=perpetual growing. Something that was not possible before having this Ruderalis gene. They are also known for their short flowering cycles. The focus here is taking advantage of this ability to enable plant rotation for multiple harvests in a single season of outdoor growing. Your outdoor space should be filled with multiple stages of growing and blooming plants at all times. Remember more light = more yield, so a direct sun light spot is key. Planning your outdoor grow with the right autoflower varieties can have you harvesting over and over in one season. You can use different strains to not only give you a selection of tasty nuggets but to multiply your yield. Starting your seedlings indoors is always a good idea, having 2-3 nodes ready to go will insure they are substantial enough to be out in the elements and give you a head start on the vegetative cycle. This makes even more sense with Autos because you are almost

always starting from seed for each plant. Cloning can be difficult with Autoflowers because by the time they are ready to take clipping off of, they will most likely be nearing or into the bloom stage, not to say it isn’t possible, just not ideal for cloning. Cannabis breeders have gone to great lengths to create the strains we know and love in the Ruderalis variety as well as creating new desired combinations. Whether you are new to the autoflower revolution or you have experienced their unique growing phase indoors, there is no doubt you can find a strain to fit your liking. Dwarf Auto strains are the fastest finishers, 2-3 weeks in they start to flower and the flowering cycle takes 5-9 weeks to complete. This type also stays quite small, yielding fewer than 28g per plant on average. Most Auto strains are Indica dominant, but can contain a mixture of both Indica and Sativa as well as the Ruderalis to create the desired traits. On the opposite end of the spectrum are the Super Auto strains, they can take your grow to new heights literally with a longer genetic vegetative period. Their Sativa dominant genetics allow them to grow quite large and flower time anywhere from 9-11 weeks. These Super Autos are the closest to traditional genetics the Auto strains have come so far. We all know that Indica plants will give you a short, stout plant growing bushy and full. While the Sativa plants will stretch upwards in growth giving you a taller beast. Having a mixture of the two not only affects the size and shape of the plant but it will also affect the flavor and THC/CBD content depending on the parental traits inherited. Something most Auto experienced growers have surmised about autoflowers is that they will never be the plant that you could make them if you had control over their vegetative growth cycles. Several strategies can be employed here: If you don’t want to be dragging finished plants out of the woods every week, then you can choose to do all one strain; Dwarf Autos (short cycle autos) give you 4 harvests in one summer grow season and Super Autos (long cycle autos) give you 2 harvests. You can also start with both a Dwarf Auto and a Super Auto strain together. Rotating the Dwarf Autos after each harvest with
21
seedlings you have ready to go every 5-6 weeks (3 total al harvests) and rotating the Super Autos with seedlingss once halfway through the summer season (2 total harvests), s), setting you up for a total of 5 potential harvests even n on a limited amount of space restriction. If space and stealth alth are not an issue the possibilities are endless to how many harvests you can have in one season. If you plant new w seedlings weekly, you will eventually be harvesting every week as well. Your harvest rotation is entirely up to you and your planting schedule. For example; take the Royal Queen Seeds- strains such as Quick One with a 5-6 week flowering time or Royal Dwarf with a 5-7 week flowering time or the Sensi Seeds- Sensi Skunk, Skunk #1 or White Haze, both 5-6 week flowering times and you can slam out perpetual harvests from June through October. Or choose a heavier producing Super Auto from RQS like Royal Haze or Royal Cheese both coming out in the 6-8 week flower time range, and Sensi Seeds- Super Skunk Auto (2012 Highlife Cup Winner) pulling a couple back-to-back harvests out in the same amountt off time, but giving you a larger per plant yield.

Also pay special attention to the plant heightt statistic, this is critical when planning your outdoor blueprint print for your seedlings outside. Especially if you are doing a variety of strains and have space restrictions, you don’t n’t want to crowd out slower vertical growth plants by having ving a Sativa dominant bush overhanging and blocking the sun. You can always just grow traditional genetics with a long ong vegetative cycle and have one harvest per summer with h monster sized plants or you can grow autoflower genettics and have multiple harvests per summer with smaller er plants. The proof is in the pudding, you won’t know which method will yield more for you and your outdoorr grow until you try it. You might love the fact that the Autoflower plant stature will allow for more discrete guerilla growing or that you can have fresh harvests every other month or even every other week. Keeping your outdoor grow lined with fresh Autoflower transplants throughout the summer is sure to make your grow a more productive one. The possibilities multiply as well as the number of harvests!

EASY CLONING
The roots bathe in heavily aerated water. Notice the air bubbles on the top of the water.
Since I was a little kid, I have propagated plants by taking a cutting, placing it in a glass of water, changing the water daily, and planting it once the roots started to grow. The technique was successful most of the time. This is a common technique used worldwide to propagate favored plants. Since that time I have used many techniques including a few outlined in this article. However, after trying them all I have concluded
that using a water medium to root plants is the simplest and fastest cloning method I have ever used. It is also very convenient.
THE THEORY
Roots require water that they transfer up the plant to the xylem to transport throughout the plant. They also require oxygen, which they use for metabolism and other purposes. Roots have no need for carbon dioxide because they don’t
photosynthesize and they do not transport it to the leaves. Cuttings absorb water and oxygen through the submerged part of the
stem in the same way they would if they were placed in a planting medium. When the water is highly oxygenated the cuttings respond with startlingly quick growth.
Taking cuttings of the best marijuana plants provides the opportunity to use an existing plant’s exact genetic heritage to create a new plant. This is why gardeners often prefer a clone to seed plants, whose genetics, and thus growth pattern, yield, and quality, vary.
24 This method supports very heavy root growth all along the stem sides. This clone was left in the solution longer than necessary.
There are lots of ways to clone. Among the most popular techniques are sticking cuttings into rockwool or Oasis® cubes, planting mix, or vermiculite/perlite/peat moss mixes. This technique requires that humidity be kept high, either with a humidifier in the room or using domes over trays. Another popular technique is the use of aeroponics. Cloners such as the EZ-Clone® constantly spray a fine mist over the stems of the cuttings that are held in neoprene collars. There are many models available and instructions for constructing your own are available on the net. This technique has a lot of advantages over sticking clones in a medium: ȏ )RU PRVW FORQHUV LQFUHDVH WKH VXFFHVV UDWH ȏ ΖW ORZHUV UHTXLUHG PDLQWHQDQFH WLPH ȏ ΖW HOLPLQDWHV WKH QHHG IRU WLJKW KXPLGLW\ FRQWURO RU IRU GRPHV ȏ ΖW GHFUHDVHV FORQLQJ WLPH E\ Ȃ SHUFHQW The one problem with these units is that they are very bulky. After the Election: What now for UK cannabis policy? Interesting times, we feel. Some very unusual and unforeseen outcomes. The Conservative Government appear to have expected to be booted out on their collective Old Etonian backsides, but instead are returned, with a majority, by the population of England who appear to have the idea that this will somehow be a good thing (turkeys voting for Christmas, anyone?). Meanwhile, here in Scotland, the once all powerful Labour party are utterly decimated in the polls (one seat!), along with the Social Democrats (one seat!). The Conservatives, who for the past 25 years or more have been as popular as syphilis in Scotland, also retain - you've guessed it - one seat. Enter the Scottish National Party, with 56 out of a possible 59 seats. One odd thing here is that it's crystal clear that more people voted for the SNP in the election than voted for their Scottish Independence referendum last year. It is probably going to be immediately clear to most people what this will mean as far as cannabis policy in the UK goes, which is to say, absolutely no change whatsoever and business very much as usual. The thing that needs to be kept in mind at all times regarding the Conservatives, is that, basically, as a party they represent the interests of the rich (in fact, more and more it appears that they represent the interests of the obscenely rich) at the expense of everyone else. The Conservatives have rather painted themselves into a corner with the whole cannabis issue; they've taken this whole "Tough on Drugs" line, meaning there's little they can do without looking like they're doing a U-turn on the matter, leading to what they no doubt see as a sure fire vote loser. On the other hand, there are the interests of big business and the 3% or whatever it is of the population who have most of the wealth in the country; clearly these people are not happy with the idea of cannabis legalisation. Obviously, they've not yet figured out an effective way of creaming off the bulk of any profits from a legal cannabis market for themselves. Either way, for the Conservative government, it's a can of worms best left unopened, at least until the big business interests tell them otherwise. And that is pretty much it as far as UK wide cannabis policy goes. However, there are other possibilities at play here, arguably the most important of which comes as a consequence of the failed independence referendum of last year. There has been some talk of devolved government to the English cities, and certainly people in Scotland have made their feelings quite clear regarding being run by Westminster. A possible outcome of all of this could well be a something rather like they have in America, which is to say a federal system, so a union of self-governing states (or in the case of the UK, regions and at least one country: we can't speak for Wales).
You'd have to have been living in a cave on the moon not to know what's been happening in a number of American states over the past 18 months or so. The populations of four states were given a straightforward "first past the post" vote on whether or not they wanted weed legalised, and now it's legal in each of these. Needless to say, some factions of the "big" government are far from happy about this, and I imagine that the booze industry, the pharmaceutical industry and - in all likelihood - the industry that's sprung up around keeping people in prison harbour similar feelings. But there seems to be nothing much they can do about it. Here in the UK, even the suggestion of easing up on the cannabis laws usually result in a barrage of stock answers: "the EU won't allow it", or "there are UN treaties in force that absolutely prevent it". All of this seems to be largely nonsense. The EU have said in the past that, should member states wish to look at and implement alternatives to current drug policy, then they wouldn't stand in the way. As far as the UN treaties go, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon and Alaska don't seem to have been bothered by them too much. So could it happen here? Well, it really depends on a number of things. First, of course, federalism needs to happen, but this may now not be as farfetched as it might have seemed a year ago. Secondly, cannabis legislation is probably quite far down the agenda, and this situation needs to be changed. Thirdly, compelling reasons for a change need to be presented, both to the (possibly fearful) non-using public as well as to the (definitely fearful) political classes. The big problem will be convincing people, many of whom may well have lost loved ones to drugs, that cannabis doesn't lead inexorably to heroin, and that legalization will bring with it many benefits. There are a number of very legitimate grounds for a change in the law: from a public health perspective - medical benefits of cannabis apart - synthetic "legal" cannabis is responsible for far more hospitalisations and mental health problems than "traditional" (read "real") weed. Legalize "real" cannabis and the market for potentially dangerous synthetic variants disappears. From a criminal justice angle, police time is freed up to deal with serious crime, and the cartels immediately lose a big part of their income. And the overarching reason, of course, is the economic one: legitimate jobs created, tax income generated, tourism getting a boost; friends in Washington State and Oregon tell me that their tourism sector is booming, with new hotels and all the rest of it being built to meet the demand. Real benefits to more than just the usual tiny group of money grabbers. I think that, for the moment, all that can really be said is "watch this space". And that's a thought I for one find intolerable. Dr Dee

Jack Diesel Auto
Super Skunk
SEEDBANK - Positronics STRAIN - Jack Diesel Auto LIGHTS - Outdoor Grow MEDIUM - Soil, Perlite and Guano NUTRIENTS - Guanokalong Flower Boost, Atami Bloombastic
" I bought 3 seeds from Positronics of their auto flowering variety Jack Diesel. This is a 9 week finishing strain that looks great and sound great also. the tins the seeds came in are cool and i think i will kep mine. I found a sunny spot that recieves the sun for most of the day. I planted the 3 in jiffys and left the seeds to sprout. The seeds all came straight up which I was happy about so gave them their first feed. I have made a trench that is 1feet wide and deep and 3 feet long. Once I plant the jiffys in the ground then I should only need to feed mollases every so often. The plants were small and tough. The wind had helped give them some structure also. They are only around 4 inches but have wide leaves and are reaching up for the sun. I feed the ground with water and mollases and hope to keep the microbal life in the mix happy. These autos seem very strong unlike some of the other autos I have tried recently, some ending up at between 9-12 inches tall. I place a thin stick of bamboo next to each and bury it in the soil. They will this as a support as they get taller. The plants love the guano and mollases and all the leaves are totally angled towards the sky. After 21 days the fan leaves are almost hand sized and the side branches look to be preparing themselves for a generous yield. I decide at this point to make my own dripper system using an old bucket and tap. I connect 3 pieces of tubing to each stem and create a slow dripping effect. This will be handy for the hottest part of the day or when I cannot be around. So during the hottest part of the day, i will leave a drippr on the stem of the plants The smells are very skunky and sweet, yet with a sharpness that makes you wonder what flavour this is. I love a strain that sends the senses wild especially for me after all these years. After 4 weeks the plants looks well established in the ground. Small woody trunks that are tough to shake. There are nice sized buds forming up the plant. They are not overly huge but from the smell, I expect a sativa influence in there so hope the buds will get bigger. With 5 weeks to go I switch my feed to Guanokalong Flower Booster. This is a rich concentrate of liquid bat guano and Palm tree ash..and I suspect some type of mollases. Each day after I feed this I see the buds swell. The shape totally changed to a more pointy jagged bush. The smell of this variety is absolutly delicious. I
GENETICS - Sensi Seeds Super Skunk LIGHTS - 180w Hydrogrow L.E.D NUTRIENTS - Hesi Co - Co, Hesizyme SYSTEM - Autopot with Mapito and Bat Guano
cannot stop rubbing my nose through it. It has a smell of the early Real Mc Coy phenos from the Flying Dutchman. Now the buds are packing on weight and taking shape of mini pinecones. The feed is really making them swell and all 3 of the plants are uniform and a nice size. I cannot have huge plants where I am so this is ideal and will not be too demanding time wise. The trichome production is good and the calyx are swelling nicely. I shall add a dose of Atami Bloombastic ( 0-20-21) so give the buds on last bloom. I add the Bloombastic to my Flower Booster. The next few days are very productive. The smaller buds have now gone much harder and the calyx have built up and now are stacking up on one another. The fan leaves begin to yellow off bow but everything else is immaculate looking. The buds on the lower branches are like round balls and have as much weight and size as the top buds. With a few weeks to go.. I feed now on tap water and flush the medium as best I can. I will re use the soil again for more autos now it is rich in microbes and soil structure. After 8 weeks I cannot stop licking my lips. Everyone who smells the buds feels the same and with one week to go, I am expecting some tasty organic nugs. I feed twice more with water and once the soil has dried out again.. I leave for a few days then chop. The colours of the plants now are purpe and pink. calyx are twisted upwards with silver and white tichomes. i am sure these buds will shrink and gain a nice bio mass to them but the smell is really something else. Similar to an early Sensi Skunk that has a wet overtone. In total the plants finished around 2ft with decent side branching. the branches aew not overly heavy with weight but they are twiggy and woody never the less. There are many autos i have grown the do not side branch too well but this strain is a good side branching strain. I would say it needs alot of nutes but it is a great plant. I harvest them and leave to hang. From the 3 plants I yielded 27g, 31g and 26g so on average an ounce per plant. There are varieries that can produce much more, however this flavour and smell is a real pleasure. I smoke my first joint and the fragrence in the room smells of bubblegum and Shiva mixed with a Red Wine. More connisour stash but well worth the wait. Ideally i would like to grow to alot of this variety just to habe a good cured bud to taste after a few months as it really does smell incredible. "
" I was gifted a handful of Super Skunk clones then placed under a 120w CFL till they were one week old. I fed only mild nutrients till they were big enough to plant into the Autopot system. This is the first time using this kind of system. It basically acts as a bottom feeding wick system that uses no pumps or electric. In Week 1, I connect the valves for the Autopot and fill my reservoir up. I use Hesi Coco all part feed and Hesizyme. The PH of the tap water here is very alkaline so I carefully adjust the P.H and E.C accordingly. My medium has Guano kalong bat guano mixed in and also volcanic ash. I hope these will add flavour to my final crop and should keep plant vitality to a high standard. I have decided to veg the plants for 3 weeks on 14 hours of light and 10 dark and will flower for 7 weeks, as this strain is an early finisher. The plants have grown up and now you can feel the roots are tight and deep within the medium. They are really soaking up the L.E.D which I have hanging 2ft above the plants. I have fans blowing against the walls so not directly onto the plants, so the stems are growing stronger. By week 2, the difference is size is impressive and now the clones are filling out like a bush. Because of the 10 hours of darkness, the plants are producing big white fluffy pre-flowers all over. The plant vitality looks amazing and each leaf has a metallic green shine, as well as all new growth displaying trichomes. I refill the reservoir and check PH and E.C. It is week 3, by now the clones are around 12 inches tall and have a stocky look about them. I will increase the E.C and see how the clones react as I prepare to induce flowering. To shake the plants by the stem they are tough and sturdy. So far I am really impressed with this strain and the smells when you enter the room, are a warm strong skunk. The first week of Flower, I changed the light cycle to 12/12 and also filled the reservoir according to the food chart. The plants grew very quickly and the colour is a deeper green than before with dark reds from the leaf stems. The health of the plants are awesome and the vigour is very impressive. Week 2 of Flower and now all of the plants have climbed up by 10 inches or so. It looks like they will finish at a height of around 2 ft with a Christmas tree shape. I add more fans now that the canopy is really thick and try my best to create and even air flow throughout the garden. By week 3 of Flower, I was right about these girls staying at a height of 2 feet which is good
considering they were quite small when they went in. The flowers that are appearing are like big white fluffy spiked balls. Trichomes all over them and a strong sharper lemon scent. I am really excited to see how these will fill out. I up my E.C and slam the girls. I only have 50 days to flower before they finish. On week 4 : The plants now have really gone for it and within a week the stems have turned wooden and nearly doubled in width. The Autopots are doing a good job also. It is day 28 and not long to go. All the new growth is heavy with trichomes that are big and sugar looking. The Christmas tree shape is evident and I am beginning to see what my yield will be like. Week 5 and the buds are forming very thick and round. Harvesting these buds will not take long at all. The calyx to leaf ratio is very high so this saves me extra work. I would defiantly recommend this strain to anyone who is not a big fan of the scissors. The whole plant has buds shooting from every site. Rather than one big cola effect it is more like loads of round nugs planted all over. Very simple to grow. It simply grows itself. It is week 6 so in 2 weeks I will chop. Now I decide to only feed PH adjusted water into the reservoir and Hydrozyme to ensure a clean flushed final product. The biomass of these buds are ridiculous and hard to squeeze. When touched the smell is deep lemon. Not the sharp Super Lemon Haze we are all use but a heavy floral lemon. I am really looking forward to this harvest. Finally onto the last week of flower. The buds are ripening very nicely. and the colours are orange and green. Very large orange hairs on the buds which are totally sticky to touch. I will take it to day 50 and chop as I have some new clones arriving I will be putting in their place. Harvesting these buds is really simple and each plant took around 15 mins to trim well. I remove all the buds and fill my dry net. The size of these buds are eye catching. Very light green and sparkly with trichomes. I will leave to dry in my drying net and will weigh it in around 1 week when it is dry. Harvest : Off 4 plants, an Autopot and L.E.D, I harvested just over 27 ounces totally dry. Big thick stinky light green nugs. There was one plant that produced a little more than the others but a big yield for a 10 week cycle! I would recommend this strain highly. It is very easy to grow and to smoke the buds taste deep and citric and the smell of smoke in the air is strong. The buzz is immediate with a very chatty energetic skunk with a relaxing edge. "

POLITICS UK
" UNITED PATIENTS ALLIANCE " Your well known now in the medical movement we have in the UK. Tell the readers who are not familiar about yourself? Clark says : " I was diagnosed with MS in 2010, I soon found that cannabis helped me more than pharmaceuticals and started campaigning to have legal access to it first with the legalise cannabis alliance ( RIP ) then I went on to found the Berkshire cannabis community one of the first and most active UKCSC clubs and more recently I have gone on to found the United Patients Alliance. What exactly is the United Patience alliance? We are a group of patients who all find cannabis helps us, we have come together to support each other, raise awareness of medical cannabis and to lobby for changes to the law. You have met with several Members of Parliament and even appeared on Sky News. Tell us more about those events? Over the years I have been campaigning I have appeared on BBC 1, BBC 3, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky news as well as many national and local news papers magazines and Radio programmes. The United Patients Alliance has some high profile support from Brighton MP Caroline Lucas, Caroline came and spoke at our launch night and has pushed for evidence based drugs policy, We had several high profile liberal democrats ( before they lost their seats in the last election ) most notably Norman Baker. We met with Norman several times and even went to the Home Office to tell our stories and talk about how medical cannabis helps us, we were the first patients to talk about how medical cannabis helps us at the home office, and subsequently Norman became the first serving drugs minister to publicly call for legal medical cannabis.
I recently caught up with Clark French, and took the opportunity to get an update on his movement in the medical wave. The times are changing and people are slowly waking up to the progression of Cannabis. This is how we By Stoney Tark got on..
With the term ' Medicinal Cannabis ' being thrown around a lot, what are your views as a real medicinal patient? Cannabis is a neuroprotectant, it's impossible to not be a medical cannabis consumer if you consume cannabis at all! I think that everyone has the same right to put whatever they want into their own bodies. As long as it isn't harming anyone else then I don't see the problem. Let's not forget that recreation is used to promote happiness and well being so in my opinion recreation has therapeutic benefits too! Not everyone has the same need to cannabis, a cancer patient has so much more of a need to access cannabis than someone wanting to relax after work, but those people both have the same right to access cannabis. Is CBD really as helpful for medical patients as the break through suggests? Yes I think anyone with a serious condition could stand to benefit drastically from consuming CBD as well as other cannabinoids. What do you find in particular helps with your M.S? I find that THC is best for symptom relief but I want more CBD for long term progression. I like dabs the best – you cant beat getting a short sharp burst of cannabinoids – effective as soon as you exhale so in terms of pain relief dabs are fantastic. How are other countries with regards to meds for people like yourself? Well many are worse than the UK for example Malaysia still executes for trafficking so some places are awful, but many countries do allow patients access to medical cannabis. If I lived in the US, Israel, Canada and many parts of the EU then cannabis would be recognised as having medicinal benefit for me, I have two Californian doctors recommendation’s and support from most of my health care professionals here so it really is time the UK government woke up! I recently asked you for help after a medical patient of mine was in trouble with the police. Can you give the readers the same advice? The best advice is to contact release, they are a fantastic organisation who not only campaign for evidence based drug policy but also help many of the victims of the current war on people who some drugs.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to get involved with activism? Find an organisation and get involved, there is plenty to be done! If you want to do your own thing that fine but get active! Speak to people about it, talk to MP's and politicians and raise the issue, tell people this is something you believe in, the more that do the sooner we will get to where we need to be, its hard and there are times when I think to myself “ why?” but over all its so rewarding, that in itself is a good enough reason for anyone to get active! You recently successfully crowd funded the up and coming film “Grassroots', The Cannabis Revolution” and managed to raise close to 20k ( congratulations). Can you tell us a bit more about the film? My cousin Dale has been making Grassroots' for the last two and a half years, he followed me to California, Colorado, Amsterdam and Barcelona as well as filming most major events in UK activism. The film is looking at the issue of the people behind the movement in the UK. I'm really excited about it, Soft Secrets readers should look out for the film's release in early 2016. Finally you put in lots of time into your work, why is this issue so important to you? Because of the injustice and I think it's because I know this is something where my story can make a difference and help to change minds. It's true that I probably spend too much ( if not all of) my energy on the campaign but it's the right thing to do, we fight injustice so that future generations don't have to. "

Sanctuary Preservation The vast majority of medical cannabis gardeners are normal people with a regular schedule, simple lifestyle, and pleasant demeanor. They keep their gardens and grounds in line with neighborhood standards. They do not have noisy wild parties, and they get along well with neighbors.
Even though medical cannabis may be legal where you live, neighbors, visitors, and family members may oppose it and create conflict. Indoor medical cannabis gardeners are able to attain peace of mind for themselves and loved ones by installing a secret entrance to gardens via false doors and difficult-to-find entrances through workshops, basements, and attics. Some gardeners mount a tool pegboard or painting over the door to disguise the garden room’s entryway. The locked door is controlled with a remote electric door opener.
Keep the medical garden room locked to prevent unwanted visitors. Showing a medical garden to anyone who has no direct involvement invites problems. People like to talk and embellish. Once the word gets out, your garden may be subject to compromise and theft. Strangers can also bring diseases and pests into the garden.
This medical cannabis garden in an attic is accessible via a pull-down stairway.

After having had his cannabis crop stolen, a gardener friend installed several predator trail cameras around the garden and on the trail nearby. When suspected thieves found his garden again, the cameras snapped their pictures along with the date and time they visited. The gardener had plenty of time to move the plants to a safe spot. He also had photos of the thieves and was able to identify them.

A MUCH APPRECIATED FERTILISER FOR CENTURIES Bat guano is a great resource to achieve organic crops of excellent quality J. Searcher both indoors and outdoors.
Vampire movies have given bats a bad name. They are commonly considered sinister creatures of the night. As a matter of fact, these nice mammals are inoffensive for humans, as they never attack us. They also play a key role for ecosystems, as many types are insectivore, eat a large quantity of pests and keep crops healthy. As if it was not enough, while they fly they spread the seeds of many vegetable species. Bats gather in caves to sleep. They remain in the same cave for hundreds of years. Little by little, the bottom of these caves will be covered by huge layers of droppings, commonly termed bat guano. This guano has been a much appreciated fertiliser for centuries for its nutrient content and the benefi-

38 cial effects it has on the soil. In the recent past, with the introduction of chemical fertilisers, it became outmoded. But its use is now again picking up with the growth of organic farming. The nutrient content may vary depending on the diet of bats and the age of guano. Guano produced by insectivore bats has a higher proportion of nitrogen, while guano from fruit-eating bats has a high phosphorus content. Fresher guano has more nitrogen than that collected in old deposits.
USE IN CANNABIS GROWING
In cannabis growing, bat guano is well known. Undoubtedly, it is one of the best natural sources of phosphorus, which is why it is quite popular among organic growers. Significantly, this is a slow-release type of phosphorus, meaning that plants will receive it throughout their lifecycle. Another reason for its good reputation is that it gives crops a sweet and natural taste, someone calls this “a touch of mango”.
HEALTHINESS
To save money some cannabis growers are brave enough to enter caves where bats live to collect guano. We absolutely advise you against this practice. It is illegal and could be punished by a fine for environmental crime. It may also cause health problems, as the combination of cave environment and excrements favours the transmission of diseases. The use of Guanokalong is unproblematic, as it is collected and packed by professionals. In any case, it is not recommended to inhale guano powder when applying it to the substrate. A few scared readers asked us if it is safe to use bat guano as they heard that bats can pass the Ebola disease. This fear is totally groundless, the collected guano is packed and sent to Holland and from Holland to the wholesaler sell-
On top of providing nutrients, guano is an excellent soil improver and both the structure and oxygenation of the substrate can be optimised. It contributes to pH stabilisation for its calcium content. It also improves the retention of water and liquid nutrients by the substrate. Other less known advantages include its nematocide properties for its chitin content; it is also used as a toxic waste cleaning agent in the soil. As soil improver, it works ideally if mixed with earthworm humus, as earthworm compost too is a great soil conditioner for its content of humic and fulvic acids, enzymes and microbial flora.
GUANOKALONG’S RANGE OF PRODUCTS
Guanokalong is one of the pioneering brands for the use of guano in cannabis growing. This company sources bat guano worldwide to offer a topquality, mature product. Depending on the label, NPK is 1-10-1, but this is only designed to comply with minimum legal requirements. As a matter of fact, the NPK content is closer to 2-15-2 in marketed products, which also contain a large variety of micronutrients. Guanokalong started to market slow-release bars as an ideal product to deliver nutrients throughout the full lifecycle in outdoor crops. Indoor growers used to crush bars to better dissolve the guano and facilitate its immediate uptake by the plant. In order to meet this demand, Guanokalong powder was put on the market as an easy-to-use version in all environments. Another application for guano is the processing of ‘guano tea’ for a delivery of nutrients in liquid form. This application does not ensure the best exploitation of guano potentials, since achieving total dissolution is complex. In order to solve Bat guano is also beneficial in transplantation, this problem, Guanokalong as is the case for this Critical introduced a third product, Guanokalong extract, a supplement that improves the taste of crops and delivers enzymes and microelements. This product is vacuum-packed for perfect preservation. Finally, they decided to enrich their range with additional products not based on bat guano, in order to meet all the needs of organic farmers. The first products to be marketed were Kalong Grow and Kalong Bloom, liquid fertilisers based on molasses and proteins and especially designed for use in combination with Guanokalong in the soil. Next to come on the market was the Guanokalong culture substrate - to which black and red peat, earthworm humus and bat guano can be mixed. Next they introduced the GK Organics line of organic products for soil preparation, such as fish meal, volcanic rock, palm ash, earthworm humus, cottonseed powder and seaweed meal. The last product to be released is Biogrow Complete Organics, an excellent soil conditioning agent that goes along with the full range of GK Organics and Guanokalong. It can ideally be used for simple growing on untreated soil. Now they are making preparations to release Guano Black, a mixture of bat guano with humic acid pellet, a real soil-life activator.
A bud of Amnesia Haze grown with bat guano ing it to your growshop. It is a long process whereas the activity of Ebola only lasts a few days. What is more, Guanokalong uses caves with guano dating back to a time that precedes by a considerable period the first appearance of Ebola.
GUANOKALONG: EXAMPLES OF USE
My favourite form of application is Guanokalong powder, you only need to apply it to the soil and allow its contained microorganisms to act and macro and micronutrients to be released. The most well known use of bat guano is soil preparation. In addition to nutritional benefits, this type of application has a number of implied advantages, as the soil structure and life of the substrate are improved. Guano is also advantageously used in plant transplanting, as it contributes to the development of roots and the vigour of seedlings. Quantities may change, for instance in a 7 litre pot for indoor growing, 2 to 4 spoonfuls will suffice, while higher quantities can be applied outdoors; the recommended dose is around 100 g per plant, although much higher quantities can be added without any problem. When large plants are grown outdoors using a massive dosage of 400 to 500 g of bat guano per plant is possible without any risk of over-fertilisation. To prepare a substrate, 1 kg Guanokalong should be mixed for every 100 to 250 litres of substrate, depending on whether you need a more or less fertilised substrate. Another type of use is to apply a thin layer of bat guano and earthworm humus on the soil surface, for it to incorporate into the soil with irrigation. This system is very useful when you go on holiday and leave someone in charge of your crop, as you would spare him the trouble of dosing several bottles of liquid fertilisers. Another much talked-about type of product is guano tea. A way to prepare it is to leave a sock filled with guano in a basin full of water for it to dissolve little by little; as alternative systems, guano can be dissolved directly in lukewarm water, or mixed with water; the mixture is then stirred and left to settle overnight. In any case, it is more advisable to opt for pre-prepared Guanokalong extract, as achieving proper guano dissolution is something complex. Guanokalong extract can also be used to improve taste in crops with mineral fertilisation, including hydroponic crops. Guano can be used in aquaponics, or in hydroponics with fish. It is normally applied during flowering by introducing it into a sock, which is then placed inside a tank containing fish.
CONCLUSIONS
Bat guano is a fantastic product for cannabis growers, the most simple form is adding guano powder to the substrate and leave it to act. Bat guano is useful in all types of environments, as a source of phosphorus and a soil improver in organic crops, or as a taste improver in crops with chemical fertilisation.

GROW WITH STONEY TARK
PERPETUAL HARVEST OUTDOORS SUMMER IS HERE
" We have always had an understanding that during the different seasons assuming you also have plants vegging into big monsters! You can then replace what just throughout the year, plants, flowers, fruits and trees all grow to a specific green harvested with new clones you have had growing pattern that nature kindly intends. In the UK, for those who choose to plant indoors and be ready to chop early November. outdoors, know that it is imperative to have the seedlings growing in Re- vegging the ground mid Spring. This is in order to get a hopeful harvest for late Now re-vegging harvested plants originally from October and early November. Also with recent popularity and success from seedling or clone is what allows you as a grower max out that plant's life cycle and return auto flowering varieties..many growers have good results considering the toto really harvest the best buds all over again.. I have sometimes harsh British summer. During this article, I will explain how you can achieve a perpetual harvest outdoors. Now this article is based on living in a sunny climate for instance the South of Spain. During this article I shall show you how to keep growing heavy weight plants outdoors and most importantly..how to keep those curing jars full to the brim with at least 3 month cured buds!
Seasons And Cycles-
When I first moved to Southern Spain.. I was amazed by the sun here and being so high above sea level also.. I was informed this part in particular recieves more lumens than any other part of the country. It is very important to understand when the seasons start and end before planting. I discovered the old school farmers here actually plant their seeds in Febuary and Harvest in late November, hitting that 5 kilo per plant mark. Visualising this type of plant made me laugh and shake my head at first..but this has been the way for a long time and from what I was hearing..the climate is very similar to California where they are notorious for growing out ganja trees! Spring starts March 1st and will end on May 31st, Summer starts on June 1st and will end August 31st, Autumn starts on September 1st and will end November 30th and Winter starts December 1st and will end on 28th Febuary ( or 29th if a Leap Lear ) It is always helpful to know which months are wet months, dry months, hot months and cold months. If you are thinking of moving somewhere with good weather..then finding out off the locals is usually straight forward and will help you plan ahead.
Seedlings, Clones, Re-vegging and Auto Flowering strains -
Now the beauty of growing in a hot climate or even anywhere with a generous summer, is aslong as you have additional fluorescent lighting at your disposal, then you can keep the outdoor plants in a vegative state at will. All seedlings can be started off indoors and all clones can be rooted under the fluorescent. With regards to standard photoperiod strains ( non auto flowering ) you have a few different options. You can plant the seeds in March and allow to grow up all the way up to Autumn. The benefits of this way are natural and straight forward. Harvest can be expected around October / November dependant on the strain. Sativas will take longer but pack on serious weight. The other option is to plant for a 12/12 ' seed to harvest ' grow and expect smaller compact plants that are much easier to blend in with your surroundings. I have had suprising success after planting out in December. The other option is to start seeds off indoors according to your growing phase. This means that you can always start something at anytime and then can be placed outside. Clones are a bit trickier than working with seedlings because if left outside at the wrong time of year can recieve increasing lighting and flower then revert itself back to a vegetive state. This being said when grown up to a decent height and planted out in Febuary and harvested in April..you can grow some excellent Cannabis. The advantages of growing outdoors at this time of year is the infamous White Fly and other pests are nonexistent as well as the security in the sky! The other option you have with planting clones outside is as long as you can create darkness during the summer months..then you can really grow big sized plants from small clones. Alot of growers here go through the efforts of moving their plants into a black out shed outside or empty room inside their house. After 60 days or so of doing this sometimes back breaking work, the grower is rewarded with high grade buds that have been taking in some serious lighting. Also whilst others have their plants growing into bushes, you can grow out say 50 clones in 8 weeks and be harvested by September. Naturally Auto flowering strains can yield very generously.
Stealth is key when you grow large plants. harvested plants here in April and left the lower shoots to take the role of growing all over again. This time however, you are starting with something that had already been alive for several months and has an extremely well established root base. The advantages of re-vegging your plants is that for example..from the seeds you planted all that time ago..you know exactly which one is ' the keeper '. Or you may decide to re-veg all of what plants were there to replicate the grow you did. Now if you're not able to harvest as the days become longer, then you can still replicate an environment that creates less than 12 hours darkness in order to prevent flowering. This can be simply done by using a side house light or to place the plants under a fluorescent somewhere. A kitchen light will suffice and the important thing is not letting the plant stay in a flowering or end of cycle state.
these autos act like clones and within the same time frame will produce additional quality buds to your current mounting collection of hanging buds. There are some very productive and reliable auto flowering strains from companies like Royal 4XHHQ 6HHGV 'LQDIHP 3RVLWURQLFV 6ZHHW 6HHGV and many other high end reputable seed banks. There are some growers who will plant autos 6 times a year with great results as well as having seeds and clones also growing at various times. So if you imagine in April you plant seedlings, clones and auto flowering strains..and leave the seedlings and autos to grow and can cover the clones to create the 12/12 environment, then by start to mid June.. You would harvest the autos and the clones together and leave shoots on the clones to re-veg, whilst the photoperiod strains are by now well trained and ready for summer.
Planting Techniques -
The best part of preparing for a lengthy outdoor project is deciding what medium you want the plants to grow in. On the basis we are planting into
Auto Flowering Strains -
Auto flowering strains are perfect for sunny climates and become very handy to add several more harvests into that perpetual yearly harvest. Along with the other plants you have growing,
This is the 3rd harvest for this grower this year. The month is March and this grower will have plenty of meds

Keep a close eye on insect eggs on the leaves of your plants. the ground, it is common for the growers here to dig a huge hole which is then generally filled with some type of heavy mix commercial nutrient. If you wish to replicate your indoor organic set up this can be done, but consider the quantities you will need for your project. These plants will be in the ground for a long time so when you dig that hole..wrap a big joint, get a cold drink and don't be afraid to get a good 3 foot deep hole. Putting in the hard work now is all character building and certainly will pay off when the sun beats the ground and those roots are big. I personally add my own mix of Canna Co Co and Guanokalong Bat Guano ( 1-10-1), Guanokalong Seaweed ( 0.5 - 0 - 1.5 ) and Guanokalong Palm Tree Ash ( 0-1-30 ) and
Cottonseedmeal (6-2-2) avg release 20g/sq ft Bone meal (2-11-0) slow release 25g/sq ft Blood meal (12-0-0) fast release 10g/sq ft
catalogues when they quote the potential yield of the plant, you will always see the yield for ' outdoor ' usually states 1000g +.
Planting into pots has it's own advantages. You choose your own medium and for moving plants around makes them mobile. Planting in the ground is a commitment to that space for a long period of time. Pots are better in my opinion for clones and brings me onto my next point.. Outdoor hydro. If your able to keep a pump or two plugged in or have access to an Auto pot wick style system then the results that can be obtained are ridiculous. Leaving a NFT system with the top covered in white for the heat, or connecting a few drippers connected to your own nutrient supply is an easy task. Be sure to keep a close check on salt build ups but the plants will drink alot more than an indoor scenario in my opinion.
With adequate training and the right plant protection..these results can be easily achieved. Tall lanky plants may look good when you stand next to them but the key is to have bushes that throw out baseball style buds you must stake to keep from falling.
The last method of planting is my personal favorite because of the easability. Any 50 litre bag of soil or heavy mix is ideal. Simply create plenty of air holes all over the bag. Turn the bag on its side so its flat and wide and insert perhaps 1,2 or 3 clones dependant on how ambitious your plans are. In the same way tomatoes are grown in soil bags and left to grow. The beauty of a 50 litre bag is they can be placed on slopes and also across the ground and easily covered and as long as enough air holes were made..feeding should be simple. I must say though, when a plant's roots do expand and really
AFTER 60 DAYS OR SO OF DOING THIS SOMETIMES BACK BREAKING WORK, THE GROWER IS REWARDED WITH HIGH GRADE BUDS THAT HAVE BEEN TAKING IN SOME SERIOUS LIGHTING then feed later their Grow and Bloom liquid based feeds. The bigger the hole then the bigger the plant. Alot of local farmers will add compost, manure and often animal hair as it is rich in nitrogen ( 15 - 0 - 0 ) Below is a list with NPK values of materials that are used for organic outdoor farming. Alfalfa Pellets (3-1-2) avg release 40g/sq ft Corn Gluten (6-0-0) avg release 15g/sq ft Compost (1-1-1) slow release 125g/sq ft Bird guano (10-3-1 variable) fast release 25g/sq ft Cow manure (2-0-0 variable) avg release 60g/sq ft Horse manure (5-2.5-6 variable) avg release 20g/sq ft Soybean meal (6-1.5-2) avg release 20g/sq ft Worm castings (1-0-0) slow release 150g/sq ft Kelp (1-0.2-2) fast release 15g/sq ft Insect manure (4-3-2) fast release 35g/sq ft Fish emulsion (5-2-2 liquid) fast release 1ml/sq ft
fill out the bag..the plants that are produced are shorter and wider and can become very big and very fast. It may seem a bit extreme to use a 50 litre bag for one plant but as a way to leave your plant with minimal monitoring is a benefit. Also, it may be easier also to have say 6 of the 50 litre bags in a green house scenario with 6 plants growing. I have been utilizing this technique for many years and is the most simple way of starting..

By this point if you can get a net or perhaps squared fence to use as a screen, then your canopy control will become that much easier. By the time the plant is well trained and due to the strong winds, your plants will be small trunks and now firmly part of the Earth.
Pests and unwanted guests :
The worst part of any growing experience is when we suffer from unwanted pests in the garden. For indoor growers are use to a certain kind of pest and are usually well prepared thanks to many preventatives from grow shops and web shop.
White Fly are a real pest especially when it's hot. I have seen cannabis plants here covered in them and when you shake the plant, thousands launch off and fly around. It is very difficult to keep on top of a White Fly problem and an infested clone can bring those problems right back to your indoor or outdoor garden. Clove Oil kills White Fly upon contact but please make a mild solution at first. Ed Rosenthal is extremely well versed with pest remedies. I would strongly advise researching Ed Rosenthal's practices when it comes to plant protection. Caterpillars here grow big and eat their way through your precious sun drenched nugs, that you spent so long growing. Apart from picking them out and killing on site, there is not alot you can do to tackle every single one. There are a certain plants however that the caterpillars and butterflies are more attracted to. If you can research these plants and apply a few in your garden, you can prevent an infestation in your crop. Also nets around plant can help. One more unwanted pest does exist and that is the karma free plant thief. Gypsies in Spain are notorious for entering land and sniffing around during the early wet mornings. These type of people will pretty much stake out your entire project and then perform the ultimate magic trick. Making your entire TLC filled crop disappear. I heard about one grower who actually had his outdoor crop stolen and when the police saw the gypsies carrying the plants down the road, they
were stopped and it was not long before the police were shown where they got the plants..landing this grower in trouble. Police helicopters are not really present apart from Summer till Autumn and even then it is a case of well hidden stealth plants.
Fresher than the harvest -
Yes! The best part of watching any crop come to the end of its life cycle and now you're ready to man handle those hard heavy buds. As you will see in the table below, dependant on which of the genetics you choose, you can harvest the top buds and allow for secondary shoots and undeveloped buds to soak up the sun. You will be pleasantly surprised by what a second harvest can bring by just leaving the plant. It is also a good idea to also decide if you wish to re-veg the plant naturally or artificially. This would be a good idea if the flowers you smoked were high grade and for whatever unforeseen circumstance do not have any clones. You will know that the plant has grown back to a vegative state when it produces a small inward curving leaf. Once you see this leaf, the following sets of leaves will return back to a normal pattern of symmetry. Plan ahead and think about a drying room. The drying room can be simple and only a drying net or ability to hang buds upside down is necessary. Read up on the best way to dry and cure buds from previous Soft Secrets articles. The most important thing is creating the perfect environment. Remember also by this point that your buds should and will reek. Be very careful not to attract any unwanted attention. Invest in good quality jars for storing your precious flavours in. On the basis you follow the yearly chart, there is no reason you cannot have large amounts of the best outdoor organic buds stored away for months at a time. I would encourage you to make extracts also with the trim and buds ( if you have alot ) and to really work on curing full melt dry sieves and oils. Recently I came across the ' Rosin Tech ' to create a ready to smoke oil. Perhaps outdoor live resin Rosin Tech could be super tasty to say the least!

The slugs can be dealt with by adding anything copper to the base of the plant. Copper wire works wonderfully as the slugs cannot physically cross the copper wire. My understanding is that when they make contact with copper, a positive ion is created and they do not like it. There are also other barriers that can be added like sun dried egg shells. Slugs and snails cannot move across the small tiny sharp pieces of shell. It is the equivalent of a person walking on glass. These 3 methods are a quick fix to any slug or snail problem, without needing to make beer traps.

The UK government has embarked on a process of relative liberalisation towards the use of cannabis, and cannabis activists are engaged in broadening this engagement. Several local councils and police chiefs now actively support a Dutch-style coffeeshop system as a way of separating soft and hard drugs, as it has proven to do in Holland. Whether they are finding their way to new coffeeshops or growing for their personal supply, cannabis users are a menace
to no one, and are causing no discernable social problem. Some politicians and commentators are calling for the outright legalisation of marihuana. Let’s wait and see how the debate develops during a period of relative peace between all sides of the argument. In the meantime, the publisher hopes Soft Secrets will show the public a positive side to the normalisation of cannabis use, and is anxious to offer a forum to both pro- and anti-legalisation advocates. This assumes that the publisher does not necessarily agree with everything that appears in articles and advertisements. The publisher therefore distances himself explicitly from published statements or images that might give the impression that an endorsement is being made for the use or production of cannabis.
