In each issue of Among Friends, we pose a question to our community, and print as many responses as we can fit! THIS ISSUE’S QUESTION: What are you most looking forward to this summer?

I can’t wait to travel again! I’m so looking forward to exploring new places, reconnecting with family and friends, and spending quality (hopefully screen-free time) with Livi and Guybe.

I am looking forward to spending time in my back garden, a pandemic project which is finally finished! I am also looking forward to getting in the water to scuba dive with my entire family; Ava is finally certified and can dive with Dieuwe and I!

Time to reflect on and savor my journey shared with all of you, followed by reconnection with my children, Kyle and Matt.

I’m looking forward to another summer in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire where I have led summer programs for creative musicians for nearly 20 years. Town fireworks, epic thunderstorms, gorgeous hikes, warm summer evenings, and inspiring music make for a terrific home away from home.

This summer, I am really looking forward to quality beach time with family and friends. It feels like an important time to connect with nature and be surrounded by love. On this note, I am honored to have the opportunity to march in the SF Pride Parade this June, standing with the LGBTQI++ community, alongside our friends at SFFS, this is something we have not been able to do since 2019 and it feels very necessary. I suppose it goes without saying, I am also really looking forward to starting a new career journey this July and I feel this summer break is the restart my family needed. We hold immense gratitude for the joy of this summer.
