This brief talks about designing and creating a range of products around a space or an event that we/people experience and are a part of. The collection included up to five products that serve the purpose of the specific space or event. The space chosen was an art studio. I decided to give a theme to these projects which were inspired by Indian miniature Mughal paintings.

Arangetrum Exhibition 2022

The course culminated in a successful exhibition called ‘Arangetrum”. It was the student’s showcase/sale through which emerged my brand name Studio Nika-San.

Studio White & Gray Internship in Mumbai, India

October 2022- March 2023

During my internship had the chance to do small-scale hand-made production of cups, bowls, platters, boxes, and tiles and also to create a terracotta mural with another artist. The mural was a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and a celebration of the earthy material itself. There are two enlarged cups in the centre that depict Gandhiji’s spectacle from a top view. Using different textures and overlapping pots and vessels, these abstract pieces depict different lands (states) of India, which are connected by pottery.
