In the Fall of 2022, the Promise opened to students from across the district. There were 2,748 students who began the year as Full Time (FT) Promise students. Across the college, there were 3,812 First Time In College (FTIC) students (1,064 non-Promise students) who attended San Jac full-time 79 4% of Promise students persisted to Spring, while 80 3% of all FT FTIC students persisted, meaning there was a less than 1% difference All NonPromise FTIC students (full- and part-time) persisted at a rate of 74 8% SJC's records show that students are more likely to stay enrolled if they receive the Promise Scholarship

Many of the Promise Scholarship Recipients are majoring in the petrochemical industry The majors listed below have been considered related to the petrochemical industry by the EHCMA Scholarship Committee over the years according to the 2022 Promise students that were surveyed:

Air Conditioning - 15

CADD - 10

Diesel - 10

Electrical - 24

Engineering - 62

Instrumentation - 19

Maritime - 6 had the Promise program

NDT - 1

Pipefitting - 1

Process Tech - 29

Welding - 60
