Enjoy a visit to the Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia with a curator-led tour. The Institute is a global hub for contemporary art and ideas, now led by Director Zoë Ryan. Since its founding in 1963, ICA has been dedicated to presenting innovative artistic practices and serves as a laboratory for risk-taking. As a kunsthalle (non-collecting institution), they have presented groundbreaking commissions and exhibitions which champion the University of Pennsylvania’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of imaginative creators and launch the careers of artists, including first exhibitions of Andy Warhol, Laurie Anderson and Agnes Martin.

Gather in the hotel lobby to depart for a special evening visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the opening of The Time is Always Now. The museum is one of the largest art museums in the United States featuring a collection of more than 227,000 objects that include world-class holdings of European and American paintings, prints, drawings and decorative arts. Enjoy a special before-opening-hours visit to the Barnes Foundation. On May 19, 2012, the Barnes unveiled its new Philadelphia home. In rooms reflective of the intimate layout and unique character of the original Merion galleries, the renowned art collection is now accessible to the public as never before. The architects of this building, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, have shown remarkable sensitivity to the institutional needs of the Barnes Foundation throughout the concept, design, and construction phases of the Philadelphia campus. The Barnes Foundation possesses a world acclaimed collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and early modern art in America. The Foundation’s collection includes 59 paintings by Matisse, 181 by Renoir, 69 by Cézanne, 7 by van Gogh and 46 by Picasso.

Enjoy a visit to the George Nakashima Woodworkers Complex located in New Hope, PA. This was the home of the internationally renowned furniture designer and architect George Nakashima. The 12 acre complex has 21 buildings, all designed by Nakashima. The assortment of buildings, scattered across a wooded forest and open lawns, served as Nakashima's home and workspace until his death in 1990. Nakashima is recognized as one of America's most eminent furniture designer-craftsman and his style of "organic naturalism" can be seen in the buildings, landscape, and furniture located in the George Nakashima Woodworker Complex.

Enjoy a special early morning visit to the innovative Fabric Workshop and Museum, the only non-profit organization in the United States devoted to creating new work in fabric and other materials in collaboration with emerging and established artists from around the world. The workshop and museum were founded in 1977 and have developed from an ambitious experiment to a renowned institution with a widely recognized residency program, an extensive permanent collection of work by resident artists, plus in-house and touring exhibitions.
