PEOPLE DATA COLLECTION
The aim of the project was to collect data and present it in an unsual way. Our objectives were to highlight the landmarks along a specified route and at each of these nodes, record both the amount of people passing a certain point and the level of sound over a 30 second period. These readings were then modelled and re-represented in a different yet simple way.

The number of people at the given locations were recorded at three different times of the day, 9am, 3pm and 9pm which was used to derive an average reading for the number of people in that particular place.

SOUND Each of the 20 locations had a very unique and peculiar sound. These sounds were modelled to form a series of bars to represent the change in the sound pattern across the route over a 30 second time interval.
DENSITY MAP The map shows the variation in the number of people across a chosen route in Manchester. It was created by plotting density circles, which can be read with the help of the key below. It gives a rough but yet exact estimation of the number of people in a specific place.
DENSITY FLOW The number of people in a place was further looked into and a density flow diagram was made, showing the usual montion of people within the chosen route and how the surroundings influence the motion of the communters.
