Dragon

Auggie Davis ’21

The shining glint of scales on her face Suggesting at the sharpness of her teeth The stretch of wings she wields with vicious grace Intimidating all those trapped beneaths

The searing shadow of her fiery breath Which strikes within the viewer halting fear All warning of an instant, painful death For any knight who dares to wander near

But when a passing wind then deigns to stay And swirls form a now familiar face The creature’s chilling visage melts away And leaves a friendly figure in its place
