Don’t Delay Your Cancer Screenings

At CHRISTUS St. Vincent, we are committed to providing safe and exceptional care to help improve the overall health and well-being of our community. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many appointments, including important cancer screenings, were cancelled or rescheduled. If you or your loved ones have delayed cancer screenings, now is the time to get those appointments rescheduled. Cancer Screening Timeline

25 years old

Women should begin cervical cancer screening with a primary HPV test every 5 years or a Pap test every 3 years, if they haven’t already started doing so.

50 years old

Men should begin discussing uncertainties, risks and potential benefits of prostate cancer screening with their provider.

45 years old

• Men and women should begin discussing colon cancer screening options with their health care provider. • Women should get a mammogram every year to screen for breast cancer.
