Nestled along the banks of the river Sabarmati, the city of Ahmedabad forms the former capital and the current largest city of the Gujarat State in India. The conceptual ideology is to attract all types of occupants. This design will accommodate a mix of retail, commercial, residential, cultural, hotel and public activities. This tower is approached in such a way that it creates a driven landmark to the Ahmedabad skyline. The cultural aspect of Ahmedabad is brought through various ways through architecture. The overall goal of this project is to show high density living that reflects a positive balance between nature and human.

REVITALIZATION OF CONCOCTION Tall Building The sg highway connects ahmedabad to the capotal city of gandhinagar towards the south it connects to gujarats prominent buisness destination to the entire city and contributes to a major part of national highway the strategic location adds to the commercial value. Though it’s a highway, this zone is not prone to traffic during the day and noontime when compared to other zones. The mainly spotted happening movement starts late afternoon where the street foods take place on the service lane which is about 60m of road width that separates zone. These carry a proper and a well planned infrastructure that refrain from noise from entering the site and the site surroundings.

The green spaces are designed as a part of vertical community through projections and deck spaces that are used as roof garden and private terraces in an alternative manner. The stacking of units are done by interchanging and interlocking that achieves double storey and triple storey heights. 04

This tower consists of 18 lifts, 6 local elevator 9 express elevator and service elevator that goes to every floor. There are 3 sky lobbies 8 service floors 2 basement parking 2-3 retail floor exclusive retail stores and food court. Over this comes the multiplexes. The podium consists of cafe that can be accessed and used by everyone. Refer this image. This image clearly shows the one side is typical and the other side shows the breakage of typical planning of floor plates by achieving the concepts. Vertical stacking and zoning is also shown. The skydeck that is placed above the hotel has an easy way access and have fantastic view of Sabarmathi river. The tourists can also use the skydeck . 05
Revitilization of Concoction
The challenge of the design of the building and dwellings is to attract all types of occupants both and without small children. This will create a more diverse building complex which will have a positive influence on the life inside. The spaces of the office should be arranged like a traditional open and closed office space. The closed and small offices having shared spaces to optimized the more limited space.A circulation between the different stories is also wanted in the building to create a more living environment and attractive spaces. This will make flow possible between interconnected stories without use of elevators and thereby make the connection between stories stronger. IThis could be a designet as a shared gardens integrated with the building or individual balconies. The ambition is to create a distinct exterior appearance of the building. Unlike a tower in an open field, new towers in urban environments must negotiate small viewing corridors between existing buildings.he terraces inflect based on criteria such as the view, solar shading and size and type of dwelling. When viewed together, these unique terraces make the building appear to undulate, presenting a highly sculptural appearance that is rooted in function. Revitilization of Concoction

Understanding the impossibility of a truly healthy life in our present day urban context, the projects aims to become a prototype for a shift in urban & regional planning. A community to re-connect the lives of the future res dents (mostly former city dwellers) with the more simple yet holistic life style of the country side. Achieve a balance between a largely urban life (which will be the background of most future community members) and the more basic life style of country living

This building extends across a stream to an piece of land like island. Initially spa was designed to cover all necessities of spa to contain within the island, but as the requirement grew, we decided to combine dining area. Which again challenged us to rethink this building as whole, where spa is closed and the dining experience is open. This is when we arrived with a solution with the roof which was also constructive with rcc beams and thatched roof. Both the buildings has all the necessary services and structural support.By floor layout spa and dining area is connected by a bridge but roof is a single structure designed meticulously to accord entire foot print of this building.

Clubhouse is a building which has more floating population in this project, which is why it is zoned in a prominent space of this site. This is also a prime space where banquet hall, pre function, bar and dining is designed. We came across lot of options to make this building more notable in terms of design and ended up with an effective roof made of bamboo and thatch. This is only for half the building which required semi open roof and the other half is covered with solar panels. This building is considered as a vital part for this community thus this design ensures to accommodate every need.In the next page the following roof designs are the other options we considered :

With rapid increase and never ending need to achieve eye catching building and facade, this came as a challenge to turn a simple residential building to a remarkable design and that transition was deliberate.Facade treatment can boast a overall look of the building but we wanted more than that. That led us to identify and to use parametric design by which we tailored a pattern to elevate the existing building. There was lot to consider and as mentioned in these scripts, there were many factors to warp around this design. The most prominent features of all is the undulating patterns given which extends throughout the front facade were in we limited the protrusion from .1 to .3m which spreads horizontally to the building.

FOOT PRINT
This is one of those buildings filled with potential and design advantages where one can explore and experiment without compromising the essentials. Starting with the foot print and approach to the building to utilising potential commercial programs. Although this started like any other building, we saw an opportunity to implement and extend the limitations in practising shear movement and to create a balance with the landscape and the building. And to add more breathing space, the courtyards act as a lungspace for this design. Designed in way that provides access from any corner of the site to the building for user

Makkah from the past is a simple vernacular city with a low skyline, the spiritual center surrounded by natural hills around. Makkah has transformed to the spiritual center of islam with millions of Haj visitors on pilgrimage every year. The growing demand of Haj tourists has transformed the low skyline to tall, dense commercial developments like a busy metro. Makkah as a city is famous for a great amount of merchandise and souq’s used to thrive due to the city’s religious and geological position. The design attempts to guide the development of the city into a futuristic hub of culture and spirituality, respecting the nature, responding to needs of Makkans & Haj pilgrims and in line with principles of Islam. The design is not perceived as a radial array or grid of buildings on site, but rather a designed built environment that respects the contours & levels of the terrain and responds to social and environmental needs.

To create a Urban Morphology and experience of a Makkan city, the masterplan moves towards a new typology of building and vertiical public realm that embrace the contours. The built forms are broken down through a careful sculpting process that closely resemble the rise and fall of the terrain. opening up key natural areas and vantage points for public nodes help in feeling the constant link to the Haram and Kaaba .

Facade Character
Massing is distributed small and mid rise buildings with high ground coverage, with only few key buildings rising high. The scale is carefully controlled to provide consistant Makkah character. The buildings of varying heights are Layed out on podium to create multiple terraces and create uninterrupted view to Haram. The facade is divided in verticals to create a sense of height and avoid huge volumes. The scale is carefully controlled to provide consistant Makkah character.

Materials are inspired by traditionally used locally available materials which respond to the terrain around. Wood, stone and fins give a consistant look and feel. The warm tones of beige and brown are a result of materials used in construction, which reflects a historic city. The lower levels have retail front with stone facade. The mid levels have fenestrations on wooden facade. The upper levels are trested with glass and fins for shading.

Minaret plan
The idea of ‘Noor’ light from the sky to the earth is represented in the Minaret of Knowledge - an iconic placeholder which includes library for Islamic learning, a health cafe, vertical gardens and a small musuem. The minaret changes in colour from exterior acting as a way marker depending on Haj season or other activities.

Fountain of Makkah on the front of historic building acts as an active public space bringing people together. The fountain symbolises water, and exhibits islamic calligraphy as a node of light. Historic Al Khalaf building sets up the plaza with central fountain for social gathering and hangout. It is ideal for evening family get together and tourist programs during the day.
