Tardis Plastic Canvas Box Made by Michel McDonald

I realize the top is missing a piece, but you could buy a battery powered light set and stick 1 light through the middle of the roof with hot glue, then stick the rest of the lights around the Police Box signs all the way around as well as the windows on the doors. You will have to use the roof as a lid and not sew it together so you can turn the lights on and off and change the batteries. Make sure you count before you cut. I used 10 grid plastic canvas with embroidery floss colors as close to Red Heart colored yarn Soft Navy, True Blue, White and Black. Tardis in the following order from top to bottom starting with the roof: 25x25 squares solid soft navy blue

Cut 4 pieces 25x3 squares and sew to all 4 sides of the roof to.

Sew the pieces above to the inside of this 27(1)x27(1) square. One thing about these pieces is that you need to cut 1 square around, not 2. I could only get the image if I put the stitches around it. Not just this one, but all the ones in this pattern.

Cut 4 of these 27x2 squares and sew to the outside of the above square.

Sew the above pieces to the inside of this 29(1)x29(1) square. If making a lid, only sew one side so the box can open. One thing about these pieces is that you need to cut 1 square around, not 2. I could only get the image if I put the stitches around it. Not just this one, but all the ones in this pattern.

Cut 4 of the 29x7 police box signs and sew them to the outside of the above square

Sew the bottom of the police box signs to the inside of this 29(1)x29(1) square. One thing about these pieces is that you need to cut 1 square around, not 2. I could only get the image if I put the stitches around it. Not just this one, but all the ones in this pattern.

Cut 3 walls and 1 door and sew together, then sew to the outside of this 27x39 square. For a more true to the actual Tardis effect, cut the light blue parts out and then cut 10x9 pieces and sew the dark blue onto them and then sew them into the wall on the inside and build up the outside of the walls to make the moulding around the squares.

Sew the tardis walls and door to the inside of this 29(1)x29(1) square. One thing about these pieces is that you need to cut 1 square around, not 2. I could only get the image if I put the stitches around it. Not just this one, but all the ones in this pattern.

Cut 4 pieces and sew to the outside of this 29x4 square

Cut and sew the 29x29 square floor to the bottom of the above pieces to close the bottom of the box up. Sewing is optional since it's the bottom and nobody will ever see it.
