Mona Mahall professor for Architecture and Art at HafenCity Universität Hamburg. She examines architecture in relation to the critical and reflective practice of art. Using various media and formats, especially exhibitions, installations, typologies and texts. Mahall holds a doctorate on speculative design strategies in modernism. She has taught as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and for architecture at Cornell University. Mahall's works have been exhibited and published internationally, including the Istanbul Design Biennale (2016), the Art Center Los Angeles (2015) and the Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (2015). As a co-editor, she has published the international magazine "Junk Jet. Magazine on Architecture, Art, and Media" since 2007.


Armin Linke Milan, is a photographer, artist and filmmaker. He is combining a range of contemporary image processing technologies to blur the border between fiction and reality. Linke indagates the formation – so called Gestaltung - of the natural, technological and urban environment in which we are living. Armin Linke´s oeuvre - photographs and films - function as tools to become aware of the different design strategies. Linke has served as a research affiliate at the MIT Visual Arts Program, guest professor at the IUAV Arts and Design University in Venice, and professor for photography at the Karlsruhe University for Arts and Design. Armin Linke is guest professor at ISIA, Urbino (IT) and artist in residence at the KHI Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz.


Yiannis Papadakis Professor of Social Anthropology at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Cyprus. He is the author of ​Echoes from the Dead Zone: Across the Cyprus Divide ​(I. B. Tauris, 2005, also translated in Greek and Turkish), co-editor of ​Divided Cyprus: Modernity, History and an Island in Conflict (​ Indiana University Press, 2006) and ​Cypriot Cinemas: Memory, Conflict and Identity in the Margins of Europe (Bloomsbury, 2014), and editor of a 2006 special issue of ​Postcolonial Studies o ​ n Cyprus, among others. His published

work

has

focused

on

ethnic conflict, borders, museums,

nationalism, memory, history education, cinema and migration. His recent work explores issues of migration and social democracy in Denmark, based on fieldwork with Greek and Greek Cypriot immigrants in Copenhagen.


Asli Serbest Born in Istanbul, lives and works in Berlin, develops projects in different media to negotiate the evolving relationship between art, architecture, and media society. She worked as a professor of Spatial Dynamics at Rhode Island school of Design and of Experimental Architecture at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. She established together with Mona Mahall the collective m-a-u-s-e-r exhibiting and publishing internationally. She is the editor of Junk Jet (since 2007), an independent

Adam Szymczyk Art critic and curator. ​Curator of Documenta 14 in Athens. ​He was Director at Kunsthalle Basel from 2004 to 2014. In 2008, he co-curated with Elena Filipovic the 5th Berlin Biennial for Contemporary Art, ​When Things Cast No Shadow​. He is a Member of the Board of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Milica Topalovic Milica Topalovic is Assistant Professor of Architecture and Territorial Planning at the ETH Department of Architecture. From 2011-​15 she held research professorship at the ETH Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore, studying the relationship between a city and its hinterland. In 2006 she joined the ETH as head of research at Studio Basel Contemporary City Institute and the professorial chairs held by Diener and Meili, where she taught research studios in cities and on territories such as Hong Kong and the Nile Valley. Milica graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and received a Master's degree from the Dutch Berlage Institute for her thesis on Belgrade’s post-​socialist urban transformation. Since 2000, she worked on projects in different spatial scales and visual media. With Studio Basel she authored and edited Belgrade. Formal / Informal: A Research on Urban Transformation, and The Inevitable Specificity of Cities. She contributes essays on urbanism, architecture and art to various magazines and publications​.


Anton Vidokle New York and Berlin. He is an artist and the founder of the publishing platform e-flux, which has sparked projects such as e-flux video rental, e-flux journal, and an exhibition space in New York. Films from “Immortality For All: a film trilogy on Russian Cosmism� have been shown at numerous museums, such as Centre Pompidou, Paris (2016) and Tate Modern (2017), and various festivals and biennials, including Shanghai Biennale (2014), 65th Berlinale International Film Festival (2015), and the 7th Gwangju Biennale (2016). Elia Zenghelis Architect and teacher. Became a prominent educator for introducing radical avant-gardism into the curriculum. In 1975 he founded the Office for Metropolitan Architecture with Rem Koolhaas. He taught at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, Columbia University in New York City, Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, as well as at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, the Kunstakademie in DĂźsseldorf, the Edinburgh College of Art, School of Architecture in Edinburgh, the Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning, the Hochschule Liechtenstein and the ETH ZĂźrich.

Christos Kaklamanis Athens. He graduated from Clark University in 1998 with a Bachelor degree in Physics. He graduated from Columbia University, New York in 2001 and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. In 2002 he received a Post Graduate Diploma in Structural Design from the National Technical University of Athens. In 2000 he founded with his brother Yannis the office Palimpsest in Kifissia, Attiki, Greece. He has been a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2002​.

Maria Vrontisi Maria Vrontissi holds a Diploma of Architecture Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a Master in Design Studies from Harvard University Graduate School of Design with a specialization in Design Technology and a Doctor of Science from the Department of Architecture at ETH-Zurich. She has been awarded the Peter Rice Prize for innovation in structural design and architecture for her research in tensile membrane structures. Her research interests focus on structural design issues and topics related to design education, interdisciplinarity in the design process, as well as lightweight and small-scale structures. Her doctoral research at the Chair of Structural Design at the Department of Architecture at ETH-Zurich discusses the role of the physical model as means for projective inquiry in structural design studies within architecture education and explores architectural design methodologies informing structural design.
