CLOUD COMPUTING IS LEADING TO HIGH CONSUMPTION OF IT

There is a global surge in adoption of cloud services starting from the last couple of years and the services have been accelerated to 3X after the coronavirus outbreak. The pandemic validated the cloud value proposition. Cloud computing in 2021 has become the de facto choice of IT due to digital transformation shifts accelerated by remote work and the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been seen that, many corporates are preferring to go for the hybrid cloud and the data centre vendors such as IBM, Dell Technologies, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Oracle, Netapp, VMware and NetApp have a role too. Meanwhile, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe, and Workday are battling SAP and Oracle for more wallet and corporate data share. Salesforce and ServiceNow launched successful back-to-work enablement suites and cemented positions as major platforms. There is phenomenal growth in the cloud business and the ability to use on-demand, scalable cloud models to achieve cost efficiency and business continuity is providing the impetus for organizations to rapidly accelerate their digital business transformation plans. The increased use of public cloud services has reinforced cloud adoption to be the ‘new normal,’ now more than ever. The pursuit of higher performance, lower costs, easier integration and smoother cloud migration has made cloud services important for organizations of all sizes, across sectors. According to a NASSCOM report, the Indian cloud computing market is expected to grow at 30 percent (year-on-year) to reach $7.1 billion by 2022. India is moving faster to hybrid cloud, even though on-premise and fully private cloud remain popular in other markets. Cloud providers have played a significant role in driving hybrid cloud adoption in India. The game is about data acquisition. The more corporate data that resides in a cloud the stickier the customer is to the vendor. It's no secret that cloud computing vendors are pitching enterprises on using their platforms to house data for everything from analytics to personalized experiences. Artificial intelligence, analytics, IoT, and edge computing will be differentiators among the top cloud service providers -- as will serverless and managed services. The year 2021 will witness how the corporates and enterprises are migrating more workloads to the cloud. With cloud computing usage growing at its fastest rate yet, respondents’ adoption of Azure continues to draw closer and closer to the leader AWS. Google Cloud adoption grew as well, beginning to reach numbers near Azure and AWS. Enterprises are embracing multi-cloud, with 92 percent of enterprises having a multicloud strategy, whereas 82 percent have a hybrid cloud strategy. Let’s look how the OEMs are ready to bridge the gap of demand and supply -
