Danse au dessus des ruines This workshop aims to represent the perception of a site after a week’s immersion. Our approach is both performative and contemplative. Travelling through the west of the Île de Nantes, crossing a wall, we arrived on this wasteland, ravaged with a backhoe loader. The urban waste lies there in the open air. As we explored the relief and materials of the terrain, among the piles of earth and rubble, the remains of an expelled life appeared.

12
The journey begins with a trip on the underground, where the perception of the outside world is denied. The choice is reduced to the few moments of the stop: the user, guided by the stimuli coming from the dock, decides whether to stop or continue his journey. The docks are microworlds dedicated to the themes of leisure, rest and contemplation. De-contextualization and the paradox of performing instinctive gestures in hyperregulated enviromnents pushes the individual to reflect on his role in the society he belongs to.

Re N e w - t o n ! Milan, Italy march 2019 - july 2019 Redevelopment of the Isaac Newton university residence in San Leonardo, Milano Politecnico di Milano Proff. Gambaro Matteo e Aceti Riccardo In collaboration with Eleonora Stringa
20
The aim of the project on the Isaac Newton University Residence in Milan is to establish a connection between the university, with its inhabitants, and the neighborhood through the redesign of the public space, a capillary intervention within the residence and the introduction of a new independent pavilion. The public space defines three hotspots: - the new entrance to the auditorium; - the passage in the building ground floor; - a pavilion, hosting a bar/cafeteria.

Bollate (Milan), Italy september 2018 - february 2019 From detention space to relation place Politecnico di Milano Proff. Andrea Di Franco, Elena Maranghi e Michele Moreno In collaraboration with Fabio Samele e Francesca varotto
26
The project re-designes the spaces of the Detention centre of Bollate in terms of culture and work. This theme is declined into spaces of dialogue and confrontation. In the city of Milan, the prison is located in a marginal position, it is closed and isolated from the urban context. The prison functions as an enclosed and independent system. Most of the citizens have never visited a detention place and do not know how the spaces and lives of those who live there are organized.

The project acts on the existing building of the ‘’factory’’, an industrial shed which hosts many working activities and is located in the heart of the institute. The renovation is achieved redesigning interior spaces, materials and elevations. a

Architecture wants to create a place where people build a sense of collaboration. We imagined a brand for all the cultural and working activities of the prison. Thanks to this brand, the institute could self-finance itself, enhance its talents and increase the exchanges between inside and outside. We called this brand AUT. To communicate this process, we imagined the magazine ‘’AUT’’, an editorial project that synthesized our design as the expression of a collective writing.
PARTECIPATED PROJECT The project is developed through interactions with detainees and police officers. They have allowed us to deepen the needs of working and culture spaces in prison. We have experimented a type of participatory design, through the support of tools such as mind maps, schemes, conceptual models.

EDICOLA
fragments of Edicola
In parallel to the project that brings a possible vision for working and culture spaces, we developed a synthesis of the concept of edicola: a place of exchange and dialogue where ideas and information are shared. We constructed a narrative for spatial fragments of Edicola, a recognizable and homogeneous furnishings for materials and colors that in the future could be repeated in other places of the Prison: a seat, a shelter and a mini-edicola. There’s also a more utopic vision that faces forward: Phase I The introduction of small pavilion aims to create a place for meeting people. It refers to an idea of normality. This pavilion hosts the functions of cafeteria, information panel, and a space for staying. Phase II The prison becomes public space. An open square hosts events in Milan.

The San Vittore ai Quaranta Martiri Church is a historical and architectural pre-existence, as well as a potential reference for the Corvetto neighborhood, thanks to its exceptional attributes in itself: it is a known space, free and currently lacking for a specific function . The analysis of the neighborhood’s activities shows that the theme of supporting young and old people is developed through energies dispersed in several spots. The reactivation of a sense of community could take place through the concentration of these activities in a single place with a strong value.
