Cultural Project

Description LibraTory is a cultural project that consist of library and laboratory at the same time for chemistry, as chemistry is the “principle science” where mathematics meets the applications of natural and physical science to solve real life problems and eventually, improve our lives. UAE has six colleges that teach chemistry, LibraTory will help students to explore more the chemistry world, discover chemical substances, and do researches. Concept In chemistry world different elements combine together to form a new compounds using bonds, these bonds create connections that are essential to life. During the reaction when bonds are forming, changes can happen, one of them is the production of colored fumes. Inspired by these bonds; two different interiors (Library and Laboratory) can be combined to create a new space which is LibraTory. The concept can be applied through the use of different unexpected patterns taken from bonds to create curiosity in the space, different fumes themes, and different chemicals’ colors that will activate and attract the user. LibraTory was chosen as one of the best Scientific Research Project at the 2nd AU Research Day, in Ajman University, on 2nd/May/2019

MUSEUM DESIGN

William Morris MUSEUM

Year Category

2018 Exhibition Design

15

Description William Morris is best known as the 19th century’s most celebrated designer, but he was also a driven polymath who spent much of his life fighting the consensus. A key figure in the Arts & Crafts Movement, Morris championed a principle of handmade production that didn’t chime with the Victorian era’s focus on industrial ‘progress’. In the late 1860s, he designed the dining room at the South Kensington Museum (later the V&A museum) Concept Morris styles was affected at that by the Victorian style, so the project concept was inspired by the Victorian style but in simple and modern ideas to reflect his works.
