Rejuvenates mission is to create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere thus empowering each resident to be more relaxed while having an opportunity to engage in the community. Biophilic design incorporates natural elements and nature views into modern design to maintain the strong connection that humans instinctively have with nature. By incorporating biophilic design into our space we aim to re-energize our residents, revitalize their lives, and give them a new outlook on how they see the world. As the immense group of Baby Boomers grow older, actions need to be taken to accommodate for this substantial number of the population and the probability of them needing geriatric care. Our Geriatric Rehabilitation Facility will be located at 95th and Metcalf in the Overland Park, KS Regional Area. We are creating this space to accommodate and provide a facility for the baby boomer generation that is in need of orthopedic rehabilitation care. Our objectives include providing affordable rehabilitation care with a community-based environment to encourage healing. We will provide opportunities for seniors in nursing homes and hospitals to transition into a more traditional living environment, while giving them the opportunity to interact with one another and stay active throughout their stay. In the Community Center there is a Gym, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Pool, Salon, Pharmacy, CafÊ, and Dining Room. The design of Rejuvenate is to promote a healthy living environment for older adults and have programs available to educate the residents on physical and mental health issues. Software used: Revit – Photoshop Project completed: Studio IV – Spring 2018 Group Members: Madison Vincent, Abbey McCandless, Chelsea Oliphant, Lindsey Kearny

HOUSE The idea behind the design was to incorporate the Mardi Gras color theme into every aspect by using green, purple, and gold into the house. The concept for this project was to create a livable and aesthetically pleasing shotgun house in New Orleans, LA, while practicing sustainable & green design. This shotgun house has a mid-century modern and eclectic feel. By combining the living and dining, it creates an open concept feel, followed by a galley kitchen leading to the bedrooms at the back of the home for privacy. By using a diverse selection of materials, colors, clean lines, textures and patterns provided an enhancing visual interest and a more modern appeal to the overall space, layout, and aesthetic feel. FARMS The NAHB Four-Year Student Competition was to create a Subdivision in the township of Okemos, Michigan. I created four single family homes, that provided variety to meet the needs of different families. The target market was empty nesters, and small families with children. For empty nesters, slightly smaller homes were designed with high end finishes to meet the needs to the aging generation. Slightly larger homes with more square footage, and large open spaces were designed for small families with children. Upgrade options were created to suit the needs of any family or couple purchasing. A community center was designed to bring the families of the subdivision together, and provide a space for gathering as well as a indoor pool and a gym. After presenting it in Orlando, Florida, the Pittsburg State Student Chapter received 7th place out of over 30 teams nationally. BOOTH The purpose of this project was to create a booth for IIDA to use at Orgatec in Germany. This was a collaborative project that was done over four weeks with my partner. We collaborated on the space planning, furniture selections, as well as the look and feel for the booth. The design of this booth is focused on interaction, collaboration and attracting individuals in to connect with one another. The Scandinavian Modern influence creates a clean, simple, and open design allows for conversation to be the focal point. I was responsible for creating the large 3D IIDA logo, custom geometric ceiling and wall design, custom shelving, and renderings. Was submitted to the IIDA Student Booth Competition. Software used: Revit – Photoshop – InDesign Project completed: Studio IV – Spring 2018

Next is a global interior design and architecture located all over the world. The goal of this design is to create an open, multi-functional office space, to inspire, innovate & collaborate in the space. The inspiration of the California poppy flower was envisioned to help cultivate your imagination & create an energetic feel, by refreshing & giving rebirth to the space. By using bold colors in furniture, use of clean, linear lines will help developed a functional and comfortable office environment will allow next workers to work more efficient.
