Skinz One-Piece Bollard Sleeves

Say no more to ugly, scratched or rusting bollards! Our tough moulded polyethylene sleeves offer improved impact resistance and cost less than prepping and repainting old bollards. Skinz are available in a range of sizes that fit most common bollard sizes and brands. Fitting takes seconds and they can be cut down to suit different bollard heights. Reflective tape kits are available on request. Flip over to page 8 for our Gal-Plus Bollards with Skinz.

Installation

Skinz cost way less to install than preparing and painting existing damaged bollards – and you only have to do it once.

Skinz are supplied with everything you need and can be fitted to most bollards in seconds using nothing more than a hand-saw if cutting to length is required.

Skinz Range

Soft Protection

Skinz come in four sizes with 3mm wall thickness. They can be retrofitted to any brand of bollard from 90 to 220mm diameter. Reflective tape kits available.

Skinz offer soft protection for vehicle doors or light impacts in shopping centre carparks that you don’t get with plain steel bollards.

Gal-Plus Bollards Heavy Duty Steel with Skinz For around the same price as standard powder coated bollards, you can now have our heavy duty hot dip galvanised Gal-Plus bollards. Gal-Plus bollards are fitted with Skinz polyethylene sleeves, ensuring you will never have to bother with painting over rust again. Gal-Plus bollards fitted with Skinz are ideal for congested car parks as they can reduce the impact damage caused to vehicles when they come into contact with bollards. Likewise in shopping centres, maintenance to damaged bollards caused by shopping trolleys can be virtually eliminated.

Galvanised Hoop Bollards Heavy Duty Steel Hoop Bollards are rolled from a single piece of heavy wall pipe and are available at either 600 or 900mm wide models. Choose from three mounting options; fixed surface mount, fixed in-ground or removable in-ground. For removable models, there are two in-ground lockable sleeve options; core drilled (for existing concrete) or new concrete. Hot dip galvanised is the standard finish but they can be powder coated in various colours on request (charges will apply).

CorePlus Engineered Streetscape Bollards We have all witnessed the global increase in heinous crimes involving rampaging vehicles. While impossible to predict when or where these shocking events take place, we can take steps to protect life and property.

Objective The CorePlus is a new bollard currently under development in our design centre. The aim of CorePlus is to develop an engineered energy absorbing structure that can take every day knocks in its stride. Specifically, the goal is to stop a 2 tonne vehicle travelling at 60kph. Development of the CorePlus is well advanced. For up-to-date information visit our website.

Smart Cart Forecourt Access Management There is a need for separation barriers in airport and service station forecourts. But in fact, this is true for anywhere that vehicles and pedestrians interact with each other. The Smart Cart will provide a level of guidance and protection for pedestrians and operators. It is quick to deploy and easy to operate.

Objective The Smart Cart aims to provide a mobile and highly functional access management system with the widest range of applications. Features include, twin independent long span belts with a total span in excess of 80 metres. Both belt reels will pivot for maximum flexibility and incorporate spooling locks for belt tensioning. A lockable tool box and documentation pad add practicality while the built-in solar LED beacon maximizes night visibility. Visit our website for the latest on the Smart Cart.

Linebacker Asset Protection Barrier Developed in response to a growing number of accidental drive through accidents in retail areas, the Linebacker Brace Reinforced Bollard (BR) has been designed to be mounted between curb-side furniture where room for freestanding bollards or installation depth are issues. The weakest point of a surface mounted bollard is where it is bolted to the ground. Weakness is overcome by the use of a brace.

Linebacker Drive Through Protection Developed in response to a growing number of accidental drive through accidents in retail areas, the Linebacker Solid Core Bollard (SC) has been designed for use where maximum protection is required but space is at a premium. The SC has a solid hardened 50mm diameter core at its centre and a 90mm x 5mm thick outer casing. The core drilled installation with a single hold-down fixing leaves no tripping hazards and clear access for pedestrians. White powder coat as standard. Other colours available on request. Available in either freestanding or roller door models, Sleeve-Lok removable bollards are designed to protect businesses from costly ram raid robberies or damage. Retractable Bollards Retractable bollards are designed for medium security applications such as traffic and parking control. They offer a simple, trouble-free operation proven over many years of installation. The BR900 has a 5mm thick mild steel bollard that is galvanised before being powder coated in Hi-vis Yellow with two Red reflective bands. The BR900-SS has a 316 marine grade stainless steel bollard with a 3.05mm thick wall, and as this model is designed for architectural applications it does not include reflective bands.

Fold Down Bollards Fold Down Bollards have been designed for vehicle access control applications. In the flat position, the bollard is a low 80mm high to allow easy vehicle clearance. In the upright position, it stands 800mm high with a broad face of 150mm wide that includes one reflective sign for greater visibility. FD150 is supplied with a 40mm padlock and 2 keys, or for a greater level of security choose the key lockable FD150K model which includes two keys. Supplied with fixings for surface mount installation or purchase the additional BGK4 in-ground kit when setting into new concrete. For installation into asphalt it is recommended to use a concrete footing for added strength and stability.

Ball-Fence Hand Rail System Galvanised steel safety barriers are designed to separate pedestrians from forklifts to prevent injury or fatality. Ball-Fence is a modular handrail system that includes stanchions, a top handrail and a centre knee-rail. Design flexibility is a strength of the Ball-Fence, using galvanised post and rail components that can be configured to suit any requirement or length. Industrial swing gates, guardrails and asset protection options are also available to enhance the safety features of the range. De-Fence Safety Fence System Machinery guarding and zoning system known as the De-Fence Safety Fence System. Typically installed in warehouses and factories, it provides safety guarding from active machines and pedestrian safety against moving forklifts and vehicles. The system comprises a range of standard panel lengths with the option of welded mesh or polycarbonate infill, either single or double height. De-fence steel posts are manufactured from 75 x 75 x 2.5mm thick RHS tube. They are pre-drilled on all four sides to accept our range of steel brackets and finished in highly visible Yellow powder coat. Load-Safe-Q Portable Truck Barrier Designed for rapid deployment onto truck trays to prevent employees from dangerous falls at transport loading areas. The Pilot retracting belt system brings an entirely new level of functionality and versatility to the area of pedestrian management. Rather than being a single product with some accessories added along the way, Pilot has been designed from the outset as a complete integrated system. This system consists of the main Pilot body unit with a 10 metre braked belt, self-locking belt clip and included sliding post clip. Our unique ‘Twist-lok’ quick connect system. Twist-lok allows the Pilot body to be switched between a range of posts, cones, wall and magnetic holders. Pilot is available in six standard belt colours and four printed belts. Pilot Light Solar Powered Flashing Light

Like all of the other components in the Pilot system, the solar powered hazard light utilises our unique twist-lok quick connect system to attach to the full range of posts, cones, wall and magna-mount holders. Post Installation Removable In-Floor

Removable in-floor post installation is completed by installing machined stainless steel in-floor sockets (P/N: NIFS-SS) into the floor. This requires drilling 22mm holes to a depth of 75mm and gluing the sockets into the holes using a suitable epoxy adhesive. This method is recommended for both tiled and concrete floors.

Post Installation Fixed In-Floor

Fixed in-floor installation is simple and economical using the M12 stainless steel drop-in anchors supplied with the slip post kits (P/N: NFSP-A). Tools required are a 15mm masonry drill, setting tool for an M12 drop-in anchor (P/N: N1304-ST), a spanner to tighten the slip post and a Phillips screw driver to install the security fixing. When complete, the posts are free to rotate but unable to be removed without tools.

The unique cord capture system ensures that the discreet elasticated cord is always kept under constant tension, while the captive locking cap cannot be removed if tampered with. Simplicity of operation also means Gallery can be quickly set up without the need for any tools.

Speed Humps AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 Design and Use Details The Australian Standard which regulates the design and use of speed humps for use in off-street parking in Australia is ‘AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 parking facilities’. AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 identifies four main criteria in the design of “type 2” speed humps: height, cross section, ramp angle and markings. Don’t be fooled! Until now very few “type 2” speed humps sold in Australia met these four criteria. Of the non-metal type, most if not all, are manufactured overseas from cheap, very poor quality reclaimed materials of variable origin which quickly breakdown, fade or fail under Australian conditions.

Heavy Duty Loading Dock Bumper The LDB730 Series loading dock bumper has been designed for the most demanding of industrial sites where nothing else is tough enough. It consists of three key elements – a heavy galvanised steel chassis which is rigidly bolted to the loading dock face. An impact absorbing moulded rubber core which is housed in the chassis, and an 8mm thick galvanised floating strike face. This strike face is designed to allow the trucks to grind up and down on the bumper without damage to the building structure. Note: The LDB730 is designed to withstand serious impacts and must be installed on a suitably reinforced structure. 154 •••

Bicycle Path Holding Rails & Target Boards

Designed for use at pedestrian and cyclist crossings to allow the user to hold on to or rest against while waiting for traffic conditions to change. The prevention of illegal vehicle access is critical to avoiding damage to pathways and lightweight bridge structures, particularly when they have been designed only for bicycle and pedestrian use. Luminance Contrast Australian Standard 1428.4-2009 defines Luminance Contrast as ‘the light reflected from one surface or component, compared to the light reflected from another surface or component’. It is not simply the difference in the colour contrast, but the difference in the light reflective properties of each colour. A common problem on loading docks is bridging the gap between a truck and the dock or warehouse floor. Not all trucks are the same height, and the height of the trailer floor within a truck can vary according to how heavily the truck is laden. Thus, there is not only a gap to bridge, but a height difference to overcome. Dock plates are used for lighter loads such as hand trolleys, pallet jacks or foot traffic. They must NEVER be used with powered equipment such as forklifts.

Dock Boards serve a similar purpose to dock plates but are designed to cope with heavier machinery like forklifts. They consist of a plate deck with steel curbs on both sides to prevent run-offs and provide additional strength and stability. Barrier Group warrants to the buyer that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship, but limits its obligation under this warranty to replacement of the product provided Barrier Group is satisfied the product has been defective at the time Barrier Group sold it. This warranty does not extend to any persons obtaining the product from the buyer. This warranty is in lieu of any other warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and of any other obligations or liability on Barrier Group’s part. Return / Refund Policy We offer a money back refund on all our products (excluding custom made products). We will accept returned products and cheerfully refund your money, subject to: • Notification within 14 days of purchase of the intention to return product/s. • Product/s being returned in original packaging, in saleable condition (in our judgement). • The costs of return shipping being borne by you, the customer. • Barrier Group deducting a $100.00 plus GST fee for handling/restocking. • Barrier Group deducting the original cost of freighting those products to you and you will be provided with evidence of that cost.
