Our international summer camp will give girls and boys aged 10 to 16 the opportunity to experience life in a foreign country where they can learn or improve their English and also take part in a wide range of adventure, sporting and cultural activities. INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMME 9th - 22nd July & 30th - 12th July 2022 | Ages 10-12 and 13-16 ENGLISH LANGUAGE (EAL) Formal English Language tuition will take place in classes of 8-10 children who will be grouped according to ability. English language tuition will focus on teaching students to express their thoughts and ideas in English and to respond to English speakers. Both written and oral proficiency will be targeted. There will be two hours of classes each week day. Students will be immersed daily in English language as English will be spoken by all camp participants and teachers at all times. PRE-CAMP HOST FAMILY PROGRAMME: 2nd July - 9th July & 23rd July - 30th July 2022 An incredible opportunity is also available for students to take part in our pre-summer camp host family scheme. You will stay with a local family for one week before camp starts between the 3rd and 9th July or the 24th - 30th July to learn about English family life and culture and enjoy being immersed in English language on a

daily basis as the family goes about daily life. This would be an excellent insight into life in the U.K. and good preparation, in terms of English language acquisition, for the International Summer Camp. ADVENTURE, SPORT & CULTURAL ACTIVITY PROGRAMME Together with English language acquisition, students will enjoy three exhilarating adventure days each week in the mountains, rivers and countryside of the Brecon Beacons and on the Welsh coast. In order to maintain team spirit, sport and team challenges will take place on one day of each week where there will be a choice of traditional and fun sports to take part in. In terms of cultural pursuits, students will also have time to learn new skills in art, drama or photography. A trip to Bath, Oxford, Cardiff or Stratford on Avon will be an opportunity for children to visit a cosmopolitan town of great historical significance.
