MEASURED DRAWINGS
Measurement of inflatable systems requires a different approach to measurement. Closed inflatable systems work in tension with the pressure of the air trapped supporting the outer fabric. In most cases this leads to the organic arrangement of fabric that cannot be simly measured as it lacks straight lines. In order to correctly measure the system I photographed, scanned and traced the object. The TOP ELEVATION shows a part which has been included to give the measurements of the rest of the image context/ point of reference. PLAN (TOP ELEVATION) Sectioning the system which deforms when a load is placed on it was difficult. Not only are the internal sections out of reach but also largely hidden. Consequentially I had to come up with a way that created as little deformation and provided measurements. I placed skewers into the gaps to get a feeling of the central shape and then measured their distance from a reference point.

UNDERSTANDING RHINO
TUTORIALS AND ACTIVITIES
After hours of rhino tutorials and experimentation on Rhino 3D this is the final product of my first expeience using the software. The end result was created using a number of solid objects to form the valves and the pipe command to create the inflatable chambers. This created an object that depicts the texture and physical aspects of the physical system.

VOLUME EXPLORATION
GLAD WRAP HEAT SHRUNK Problems present in design were largely attributed to the fact that a single layer of glad wrap is very heat sensitive and will easily tear from the pressure from any heat. Additionally the edges, folded multiple times when melted together became stiff.
IDEATIONAL SKETCHES
A second skin that reflects the personal space and importance and individual places on protection, which is represented in a visible and physical form, is a personal project of discovery. Our second skin is as individual as we are, and is often more an natural quality of an individual that can go un noticed rather than a commonly recognised actuality. Personal Space changes within different contexts and over differen scales . Therefor a physical depiction should be able to change and adapt to the situation at hand.
