These moodboards are collated images of the front and back covers of album cases, plus the designs on the CDs themselves. They are from albums by artists with similarities to our band, to help me identify generic conventions which I could implement in my own digipak design. Therefore, I have found digipaks by Wolf Alice, Paramore, Pale Honey, Dua Lipa, Mitski, Angel Olsen and Lorde (I have referenced several of these artists previously in my research and planning). Our artist (Pom Pom Squad) is of a hybrid genre, which we have described as indie pop-rock, so I chose to look at artists of these genres: Pale Honey, Mitski and Angel Olsen are indie artists; Dua Lipa and Lorde are pop artists; and the bands Wolf Alice and Paramore could be helpful as representations of the rock genre. The album covers which I have collated have minimalistic designs, the focus of most of them being a mid-shot photograph of the artist (as on the covers of the albums Pale Honey, Devotion, Dua Lipa and My Woman). This is a style that I will be likely to adopt for my digipak. Most of these have a singlecolour background so that the artist stands out, which could appeal to our target audience by promoting a sense of connection with the artist (similar to the intention of our use of lip sync and direct address in our music video).
