VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS Because One Maidstone knows the pride you take in the appearance of your business, the BID undertakes projects to improve the look of our town centre, such as 2019’s display of floral planters, carrying out days of industrial cleaning and disguising the look of empty units.

FINANCES Total income in year end accounts lower than expected against plan, but actual collection was 95% of total levy as per the business plan with some falling into subsequent financial year. Expenditure lower than planned as a result of timing of staff recruitment during the year and timing of expenditure around Promote elements of the business plan. Total operational costs were £86,784 (20% of income) inline with the business plan. The surplus at the end of Year 1 allowed for proactive progress and contingencies in Year 2.
