01 Hedjaz Train Station Individual design
Location: Amman Jordan. Client: The Hedjaz Railway Association The railway station design was not treated as an isolated mass of heritage, but as a piece of cultural identity that needs to be molded back into the urban fabric of Amman. The design process began with the idea of a link , a Linear mass designed for the purpose of Connecting the old station with the new world.
Analytical studies of the site contained maps of circulation, solid and void, vegetation and a Kevin Lynch analysis of mental mapping. Ultimately it was the photographic analysis that had the most influence on the design process. The relationship between the streets and the difference of levels adds a layer of richness to the experience , especially when linked with the abundance of panoramic views of the old city of Amman. It was clear that the existing facilities would not be able to satisfy the needs of a modern age station.

The Proportions of the site were taken to maintain a Numerical Link between the old Station with the new one . The distance of X being the distance of the old tracks with the buildings is matched by a distance of X being the distance of the New Tracks and it’s surrounding facilities. For each x:x ratio there is a horizontal link of 1.75 X representing the tangent line of the Heritage Area and the existing Functional area

Location: Akihabara, Tokyo Client: Otaku & Amine Lovers. Via Archmedium This Project is an international competition, the challenge was to create a center for Anime and Otaku lovers in the heart of Akihabara. Our approach was to create an “Element”; a transformational dynamism that penetrates the site from an urban context and journeys its way upwards to form experiences within folding. It wraps and unwraps to achieve vibrant spaces within spaces. One second it’s an urban envelope, another it’s a more private Otaku experience and later an urban open theater for everyone to enjoy wherever they are in Akihabara. When the element navigates upwards it becomes an open theater where it acts out different roles at the same time; seating for the audience, stage to contain the performance and a lighting element. The experience takes you

ACE OF STATELESSNESS
03 City of walls
imagined it, the soft city of illusions, myth, inspiration and nightmare is as real, maybe more ard city we can locate on maps, statistics, monographs on urban sociology, demography and In progress The postmodern metropolis is spatially organized through strategies of fragmentation, d decentralization Individual - M.Arch studio with Andrew King
Location: Baghdad, Iraq
War has littered Iraq with its residual military urbanism and has so changed the face of Baghdad drastically. It manifests itself with concrete blast walls that cover miles where street level interaction used to occur. The city I walk in today is a place heavily segregated by gender, there is no room for a woman like me to walk, talk, or engage with the my city. This contradicts directly with my memories from just a few years ago. I was left only to imagine my body through these spaces. As if there has been a diversion, a new perspective of history that could include me in it. I use my body as a memory device, moving myself from a context of security offered through urban spaces in Bonn, Rome, Venice, and many other cities and projecting them on the reality of Baghdad. The result is a series of photographs that dwell within the then and now, merging two realities, trying convey a sequence of events that take place simultaneously, but ultimately could never be.
ate architecture that dwells the between fixed and dynamic, closed and open, security and that sees unforeseen events. As facts stare us straight in the face they reveal the many guises
dation: whereas my performance exhibits the walls as an impression, a projection, and an hitecture introduces them as a foundation for the disoriented, fragmented and decentralized
nking about the aspects of the walls I wanted to emphasize. They all lead me to the technique on through the duality of image and reflection. I then started constructing a parasitic omponent in between the resulting space. the methodology results in a space sanitized of tion, wehich is added through a third layer.

04 Philosopher’s Villa Individual Work
Location: Weibdeh Amman Jordan. Client: Classified
Lighting, accessibility and connectivity with the context were the focal points of this project. Located in the heart of a charming old neighbourhood in Amman, Jordan, it was important to find a functional and conceptual link between the villa and its context. In this Villa resides an intellectual Jordanian figure who came back after years of living abroad. The concept revolves around linking the project both functionally; as it connects on the levels with the old stairs adjacent to it, and through the massing ad the design creates interesting indoor outdoor connections. Being a driving force the stairs were reflected into the interior of the villa.

The function reflects directly on the massing of the project, the library can be isolated as it contains a separate entrance, yet it is connected through the use of split levels connecting it directly to the living room.
05 Crafts Museum Individual Work
Location: Jabal Amman, Jordan Client: JARA NGO.
Located in the heart of old Amman, this museum was designed to blend in with the surrounding urban fabric through a highly contextualized architectural approach. The design consists of three parts;workshops for local furniture and antiques, an existing old Building reused as an exhibition space for the antiques and two annex buildings that feature contemporary local Art. The main circulation axis was emphasized upon through the addition of a glass slab that functions as a pathway connecting the three parts together. The glass element brings necessary light to the exhibition areas without contradicting with the context .

Location: Rainbow street. Amman, Jordan Client: JARA NGO.
This Project takes an in depth look at the stairs connecting Amman’s oldest areas. Because of recent commercial and recreational developments most of these areas have lost their sense of authenticity and are turning into purely touristic regions. This project tackles the issue of reviving theses area through strategies targeting different demographics.

07 German Pavilion Design Expo 2015 2 person Team
Location: Milan, Italy Client: Milan World Exposition 2015 The concept came from the flow of energy, it consists of a form deformed by light. Part I: Breaking In Light broke through the first part of the building, making a pathway, the building split in two. Part II: Explosion Light moves more freely now. As the visitors walk down the ramps they see the dancing shadows . Part III: Submission After braking into the building light goes through a shattered glass cube that takes the visitors higher by\ ramps creating a courtyard of vines inside the building.
