the programs concern is to counterbalance the loneliness and boredom that characterizes the life among segregated residents that reside in nursing facilities. this program gives the opportunity to bea role model to kids to help develop their social and intellectual skills uniting the children who offer energy and playfulness. it is ultimately an asymmetrical balance between the opposite generations.

the client | trussardi
the italian high end fashion brand, trussardi was founded by dante trussardi in 1911 and has remained a family business until present. the brand is an expression of the commitment of a family that has retained it malanese identity and has made italian style popular throughout the world. their philosophy blends the culture and awareness of its history with contemporary vision. their signiture style reflects the expression of contemporary luxury, inspired by the dynamic metropolitan setting.
the site | acquario romano the boutique will be located in what is now “the house of architecture”, acquario romano. the building was used as an aquarium in the late 1800’s to bring together the area of rome shaping it into the new capital of italy. the structure has three major elements, the oval volume, the monumental entry, and a focus on bringing the exterior into the interior.

dedicated to | haruki murakami
in order to reinforce the idea of our concept, isolation, we decided to place the building underground. there is a contrast between the city and the park where the site is located, as the park is completely surrounded by buildings. this way the building is detached in a sense from the urban lanscape and gives the user an opportunity to self reflect in isolation below ground. the goal is to ultimately find yourself following a pathway toward self-reflectance.
