POLYJET 3D PRINTING Rapid prototyping, as an additive manufacturing technology, drives production of race-ready parts. To accelerate the rollout of new part designs, prototyping with Proto3000 saves you the time and expense traditionally associated with performance improvements.

SLA TECHNOLOGY

3D Printing can accelerate and improve Automotive Design. For beautiful models requiring a wide materials spectrum with a smooth finish right out of the 3D printer, Proto3000 offers PolyJet technology-based 3D printers.

For reliable and robust functional prototypes use stereolithography, an additive fabrication process that builds your parts one layer at a time. Achieve your innovative needs and product launch goals with Proto3000.

SLS TECHNOLOGY

FDM TECHNOLOGY 3D Printed Parts have the quality and durability to meet the demands of race cars of all types. For resilient prototypes and parts made from high-performance engineering thermoplastics, Proto3000 offers patented Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) Technology

Build prototypes that withstand aggressive functional testing with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), an additive manufacturing process that uses high powered lasers to fuse material particles together. Use the most advanced SLS materials for your automotive prototype applications to achieve heat and chemical resistance.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING SERVICES FUNCTIONAL TESTING In the race for speed and performance, 3D Printing has been a lynchpin for design and testing. Race teams are now revealing that additive manufacturing parts will go far beyond review and evaluation. Save time and reduce costs while testing your prototypes with Proto3000.

DYNAMIC FRICTION COEFFICIENT Simulate the mechanical function of your end-use vehicle by using Polyjet photopolymers while considering precise dynamic friction coefficients. The material variability that Polyjet technology possess will assist in achieving your desired values so you can optimize performance.

ART DIRECTOR As the Art Director of META 2013 the New Media Exhibition, my responsibilities included developing and ensuring a consistent brand throughout the event. I was vin charge of creating the logo and the colour palette, as well as designing the website and any digital or print promotional materials. I also led the Creative Team which included a graphic designer, web developer and the interface team of three. We worked closely with the rest of the curatorial team of fourteen over the course of eight months to ensure a successful art show. I learned a lot about printing, teamwork and leadership. We were also required to communicate with businesses and professional artists which has educated me in the nuances of professionalism in this industry.

META2013

META 2013 is an exhibition that showcases the artwork of fourth year New Media students. We use technology to create innovative works that redefine the way you think about art. OUR VISION

OUR LOGO The blocky structure of our logo illustrates how New Media plays a major role as the building blocks of this digital age. The way it is turned breaking into a deeper plane of space represents motion and movement forward, similar to the way we are progressing towards our careers and aspirations. 2013 is written in pixels to represent the familiar 8-bit pixel generation in which most of us grew up in and would often incorporate into our projects.

12 - Dean Park & Erin Sweeney, Living Within Decay

Living Within Decay is a video installation that documents the process of decomposition within organic materials. When the audience enters the space they will experience a new living organism breathing all around them.

VISITOR TRACE

13 - Ji Woong You, Parallel Play

Visitor Trace is an interactive exhibition interface that rethinks the conventions of the exhibit label, the guestbook and gallery security.

Parallel Play is a video sculpture about causality and synchronicity. Loops of video play continuously on 3 monitors. As the videos play in and out of sync with each other, the viewer perceives moments of ‘meaningful coincidence.’

Interactive Label (& Web App) Scan the QR code with your smart phone or by using one of the available iPads provided at the gallery. This will take you to the artist’s specific page on the META 2013 web app. Here you will find additional information about the artist and their artwork. The app can also be downloaded at meta2013.ca/app.

14 - Amanda Wood, Do Not Disturbed

This Kinect audio installation is a three-dimensional interactive piece that requires individual participation. Do Not Disturbed is an exploration of the future of interaction design and auditory senses.

Digital Guestbook Use your smart phone or the iPads provided at the gallery to access the META 2013 guestbook and post your feedback and comments. Tweet us at our user name @META2013GB and remember to include the hashtag #META2013

14 1 - Rola Kuidar, The False Fact

"Ignorance leads to deception"; this is my project's premise. This installation raises awareness about the media's misinterpretations of Islam. The audience will see images of Muslims speaking for themselves instead of being spoken for.

Security Guard View the movement of gallery visitors on the screen above the bar. Much like a traditional security guard, our Kinect-enabled security guard moves around the gallery observing how long people spend with each artwork, how they interact and the direction of their movement through the gallery. This information is converted into colourful visual pathways that tell the story of the META 2013 audience.

LEADERSHIP

Ryerson Women in Leadership (RWIL) is a student group lead by undergraduate students within the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Ryerson University that focuses on mentoring young, female professionals. We are committed to connecting a network of influential women, and women in leadership in their respective fields to Ryerson University students, as well as streamlining all undergraduate women-affiliated groups within the TRSM. We seek to gather the women in leadership for discussion at our annual conference held in the second semester of the school year. Our mission is to serve as a platform for female leaders to mentor, and share their experiences, wisdom, and successes to help students and each other solve business problems, and power conflicts within their organizations for actionable results.
