Why run for re-election?

Throughout this year, as NUS-USI Education & Welfare Officer, I have worked diligently, built and strengthened relationships with Students’ Unions, NUS/USI and external organisations. Most importantly, I have set sound foundations for major projects and if re-elected for another term, I can hit the ground running and achieve as much as possible for students. We need a strong, dedicated and passionate NUS-USI executive and I believe, with my experience and record that I would continue to be an asset to the team.

I believe in... A strong, united student movement in Northern Ireland. Supporting both FE and HE students and students’ unions. Stamping out cyberbullying + homophobia, zero tolerance and a pro-choice union. Ensuring staff and officers have the skills to deal with a student in crisis. Handing them a card is NOT enough! Raising the standards of student housing in the Private Rented Sector and lobbying the Universities to provide sufficient student accommodation. Promoting voter registration, local and national elections as a way for students’ voices to be heard.
